Women search many many topics. Guy on guy isn't one of them

I dunno, my wife got pretty hot and bothered when we watched broke back mountain

  • @LionsFan You stated an opinion as an absolute fact. I provided an example that shows that it is not an absolute fact. Absolutes only need a single counterexample.

    | If a blind poll were taken, you would find, for a 100 who believe as you do, a million strongly disagree.

Again, you're stating this as a fact when there is no evidence supporting it. And even if there were, it fails to prove that your opinion is true 100% of the time, since you admit that some of the time it isn't true.

And where did your comment about a society without rules come from? Either you were equating different rules with no rules (more black and white thinking), or it was a random unrelated thought that should have been its own thread, and should not have been posted here.

  • I want to add this for everyone. Most of what anybody is saying in these threads are opinions. All of the facts any of you are speaking to is a very small sample size of a population. Not to mention the so called facts you are claiming are all supported and disputed by peer reviewed studied statements. So as you go back and forth and repeat the same thing remember just because a lot of people say it or feel it doesn't make it a fact.

  • If you’re a straight man and you wanna cuddle men, go ahead, there are no laws against it. Who cares if you’re gay, straight or bi-curious. It doesn’t matter just like no one’s opinion in this thread really matters. If you’re trying to defend your right or opinion just because some dumb ass fired you up, stop letting dumb asses fire you up. You go do you, the right people will support you.

The website providing DATA gets 10,000 Searches per second. A woman wrote the study referencing the data.

You are but one woman with your anecdotal "evidence".

Charlie's story is both sad and interesting. It wasn't solicited. Some see it as proof of something. This website and its activities isn't for everyone. I prefer to work with data, not anecdotes.

    Happy Summer to you

To avoid sounding black and white (to put it gently), all you have to do is add one word: "Most".

When you say, "Women have no interest", that's an absolute. And it's patently false.

Had you said, "Most women don't", which is a factual statement, you wouldn't be receiving correction from women.

Semantics aside, @IronLemon, what you believe isn't so. You also first raised the concept of societal rules.

@SunsetSnuggles I hope IronLemon doesn't vent on you based on the last sentence in your post.

    Edit

Thank you for removing the "born a woman " from your post. The irony was painful

    Removing my comment

  • @LionsFan
I had already corrected it; I failed to remember if she was MtF or FtM. Good to know you actively want someone to be attacked, though. As @JoyfulHeart recently pointed out, people write their own Karma here on the board.

Your comment didn't distract from the fact that you couldn't properly respond to either of us.

    @Sunny Disposition Quite a stretch.

And, you don't get to write my response or decide what is a proper response.

When I read a batch of wishful thinking, I'll provide the response I see fit. The echo chamber needs some fresh air.

  • @LionsFan
Still trying to throw personal insults to distract from the fact that your stance can't be defended.

Why don't you focus on Charlie's message and say something that really matters? I'm done with this interaction.

@LionsFan Thought you said you were done with this thread a couple pages ago?

  • @WriterGF I clearly said that about the tangential discussion of how the site and a Mod operated. Nothing was said about the original topic.

  • @SunsetSnuggles You get it exactly. And once you know that something does not apply to everyone, it becomes difficult to know who it does or does not apply to without getting to know them first.

And don't worry, I'm ignoring LionFan's lame attempt to start shit between us.

@LionsFan You finally got something right. I did say "You should stop assuming that there are strict gender differences. Most of the differences you believe in are the result of societal rules.". To which you responded, "Is a society without rules really a society?"

Do please tell me your thought processes on how you got from what I said to what you said. My guess is you won't answer this, because your answer will prove what I said.

I'll also point out that there are now at least 3 independent "anecdotes" which contradict your claims. (I say at least, because mine are from quite a few women that I've known.) Given how small the active population of the forums is, that seems quite significant.

You should learn the correct meaning and usage of "anecdote". It does not mean "data that I refuse to believe or accept".

  • Mod post
Multiple comments have been made in this thread by a few people which break the forum rules. While I'm hoping with them placed in a timeout the discussion will return to being productive, all future comments should refrain from tagging the following people:

Any further baiting while attempting to comment opinion as fact will be an immediate 2-week timeout for the individual and result in locking the thread

  • Sadly, One of the most obvious things about this site is some of the creeps that it attracts.
Of course it also attracts some really awesome people who are kind and caring and empathetic.
A lot of us react to the creeps and then we sound pretty annoyed
I have known many women who don’t like to cuddle, Not affectionate. And they are still wonderful women, they are just not touch starved. (I am not always in the mood to cuddle)
I’ve also known a lot of men who are nurturing and affectionate and caring. Some of them are in healthcare or social worker professions. But not always. It doesn’t make them any less masculine at all. It doesn’t really matter what their orientation is.

In case some of you haven’t realized, Men can be very masculine, regardless of their sexual or orientation. Women can be very feminine, regardless of their sexual orientation.
If you have not learned this, then you may be very sheltered and have very little life experience, regardless of your age. Like you’re probably living in a bubble lol.
People are just Who they are, there’s no rules about this, are there??
I’m just so tired of the labels here and it really shows a lot of ignorance, imo.
So, Whatever you think and feel, there will be someone who is completely opposite and they are equally as valuable as you.

  • Omgoodness. 🤨
Thank goodness there are enough "Kind and caring white Christian men" (who leave the status of their relationship blank) out there on Cuddle Comfort to explain to OP what it means "for a man to lie with another man" whether they are cuddling or kissing. AND certainly grateful for those kinds of cuddle peeps who want to explain what it means to "BE A REAL MAN" Whew..... Where would we be without all of the insight from the biology professors and studiers of science?

BUT.... Back to what the OP said originally

I’ve received messages from straight men who are willing to cuddle with me. I’m gay. I have no issue with cuddling with a straight man. Heck being touched by another is a basic human need. I’m just a little nervous about it.

@blkguy4fun I appreciate your willingness to be open and authentic in the forums. Its not always a friendly place to put yourself out there.
I love your perspective about touch being wonderful and welcome no matter your sexual orientation. I wonder if you would be willing to elaborate on WHY you're a little nervous about it in order to help understand your experience.
I can guess why it would make me nervous.... for one thing...
SAFETY when you look at history toward the LGBTQ community.
I would also feel nervous that there were some who just saw me as a conquest or experiment but they weren't being honest with you or themselves. This kind of thing might lead to undesired pain.

@blkguy4fun I haven't seen you comment much here in the thread.... I hope you have found some great advice and maybe some empathy from some of the community. What a beautiful fun and delightfully "end of the Cape Cod curly cue" town you live in!! I have always wanted to come out there when I am in Boston. 😊

I suppose the biggest aspect of the cuddle world in my opinion, is to communicate WHAT and WHY of the request with some open dialogue. I know some people care a LOT about what someone looks like or their sexual orientation, but what matters most to me is who they are as a person and if that aligns with me. Touch that has a selfish motivation doesn't usually wind up filling a need we all have and instead turns out to be a pretty painful experience for at least ONE of the participants.

@blkguy4fun I wish you every beautiful thing.

@me2 Very cool article! Thank you for sharing.

Here’s some examples of how men used to interact with each other.
    http://www.filmsforaction.org/news/bosom-buddies-a-photo-history-of-male-affection/
So many interesting things brought up in that article!!

    pathologized; pathologizing
    transitive verb
to view or characterize as medically or psychologically abnormal
natural hormonal shifts have been pathologized

As regards society and cultural influence compared to biology... Here's this fun little 1985 version of characteristics for "feminity" and of course the opposite of what it would mean to be "masculine" It makes PERFECT sense why a lot of people believe this is how we should "BE and behave."
