@WriterGF - I also won't know if they blocked me unless I try visiting their profile.
@JoyfulHeart - I wasn't arguing over who is allowed to block. I'm talking about those who block for that reason but don't mind talking to the person in the forums. If I'm blocked by some I never interacted with before, I assume it has nothing to do with not wanting to talk to me.
I didn't see your question as an argument. I just answered it at face value. I didn't intend it to be snarky if that's the way it came across.
I would say that if you know they blocked you, try not to address them directly, just If you don't know they blocked you, you don't know.
I agree. Someone may not have interacted with you at all, but blocked you because they didn't like something you posted. Best to avoid unless they start talking to you.
Oh boy, here we go. After being on this site for a while, my patience has really, really thinned out. I will block someone if they repeatedly asks me questions that I've repeatedly answered. Maybe they're trying to get me to change my mind? Get a better deal? Idk, idc. The answer to most of these questions are usually on my profile too.
"Do you host?"
No sir, I've told you in messages and it's on my profile x3, I don't host.
"Oh, cool, so where do you host?"
/screaming pillow
"What's your payment info?"
Well, sir if you F*****G scroll up two messages when I sent it to you and UP another SIX you'll CLEARLY see that I've given you everything you need before you asked for it and AFTER. /second screaming pillow
Maybe it's me, but I don't have the patience I use to for this crap. Ultimately I figure if they can't be bothered to read the profile or even the messages of someone they're trying to hire to come into their home or meet at a hotel or w/e, they most definitely didn't read the cuddle rules and just scrolled down to the bottom and hit accept.
After days (or weeks) communicating with someone and hand crafting a longish message with all the details I need in order to have a session: Photo for identification, payment methods, deposit, travel compensation, place, time, parking instructions if needed.. It makes me crazy when the potential client sends messages back (usually individual messages,) asking each of these questions sometimes on repeat over the course of a few days only to have them ghost for a few days and start the whole process over. I just can't. I'm over it. Wasting my time with this nonsense.
If you come to me with a simple, articulate message, "Hey, I'm blahblah and I'm staying at blahblah for a few days. My available times are blahblah and blahblah, I'd love a session with you, please let me know if you're available and any requirements you may have.
DONE. ACCEPTED. Thank you sir for being direct.
Also, "I don't have a bank account so I can only do cash and no deposit. I promise I'm trustworthy!!" huge no thanks and most likely a block from me.
Rant over. Thank you for coming to my cuddleTalk
Man, just let it go. Don't waste your time thinking about.
I get blocked every time a pro tries to solicit me and when I say no. I’m blocked.
I've been blocked for looking at a profile without sending a message.
I've been blocked by various profiles a few years ago during when the sesta-fosta act passed and this site had a lot of secret escorts for just wanting a cuddle session.
I've been blocked for not booking another session with someone I already saw.
It's gonna happen I say it's their loss.
Be thankful. Nonsense removes itself from your life
@OliveGreen Daaannng. That's what men that want to cuddle want to hear. (The part that outlines the opening message)
And if the demands include no screwing it up..we'd do our best there too
Have a little more patience please.
@OliveGreen
I can see how that would be frustrating but I will say that I’ve been seeing pro cuddlers for 9 years and although a profile may say can’t host, I will sometimes verify. Sometimes pros or just members in general haven’t updated their profiles in awhile. I’ve also been in situations where it says can’t host and I’ll ask and they’ll be like oh you have a lot of karma, I’ll host for you or hey I’m getting a hotel this weekend so I can host or my roommate is out of town this weekend so I can host. If a profile says I accept cash and Venmo, I may verify and ask hey do you take Apple Pay. All of these questions don’t mean that I haven’t read the pros profile, most of the time I have read it word for word more than once but I am just trying to ask and verify. I am not saying that your profile isn’t updated, it’s just something that I’ve seen happen before.
Also, I am not saying that you do this but I think often times, innocent men on this site pay the price for sins committed by other men.
@donhulio The fact that you are consciously thinking about it makes you less of an asshole. An ahole only cares about what they believe in and that what they believe in is right without consideration of how it may affect others. Doesn’t sound like you are doing that.
People are way too sensitive and emotional these days. What used to roll off peoples backs generation ago is now called " My Trauma"
@JoshuaR_28 Yup, it rolled off their backs and onto their kids and everyone around them.
Being insensitive and dismissive towards peoples' difficulties is a sign of a callous, uncaring person.
This is unbelievable. A guy gets blocked and it generates all of this ?
@JoshuaR_28 You have every right to your opinion. But you might want to take a second to think how it will sound to the women on here looking for a man to cuddle.
@Jack62 I know! Isn’t the discourse great? I’m quite surprised there haven’t been any major barbs and incredulous remarks. Personally, I’m always surprised when I see I’ve been blocked, but I realize it’s about the other person.
CentralFLCuddle....that's the correct way, Don't Take Anything Personally that's the 3rd Agreement Please everyone get a copy of Wisdom from the Four Agreements....it's life changing $5 ebay or amazon.
@TheFunCartel your thoughtful words soothe my little bruised soul. Thanks for letting your kindness show ☺️😇🫂
@Jack62 I didn't mean to start a movement here..it happened I was shocked but not surprised.
I only wish her the best and hopefully one day I'll hear that she is doing well.
@TD1964RGK
It can be a sign that the other person is setting boundaries, which is a healthy behavior. Respecting their need for space shows maturity.
The whole response this quote is from and especially this, 1000% this nailed it IMHO.
What we often miss about blocking and being blocked is, regardless of the specific reason or thing that triggers that reaction, it's everyone's explicit internet right to nope out of anything at any time. It's not a morally right or wrong decision, it's not truly about the emotions involved, it's not even explicitly tied to anything we do or don't do, it's genuinely just people making choices about what they want the same way we all do every day. Because while yes, sometimes people just don't like the things we do, say or how we are, that has wayyyy more to do with the experiences, perspectives, context and morals of the other person, not us.
Now that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt of course, or that being confused and even upset by it isn't valid as fuck, it definitely is, but blocking is absolutely a boundary they put up for themselves and ultimately that's a healthy thing to do. The focus then needs to be on what's the healthiest thing for us to do internally when we're facing that rejection.
I know personally I used to be really strongly affected by being blocked/ghosted before I made the perspective shift of it not really being about me. Cuz in some ways yes, they probably don't like me, want to connect with me, or enjoy something about my natural state, but I also don't like a lot of things about other people and that's perfectly normal. 🤷🏼 We don't have to like everyone and they don't have to like us and that's genuinely no reflection on who I am as a person or who they are, it's just how humans do, so disconnecting it from my fundamental sense of self esteem helped a ton.
Can it still hurt, especially when I've been talking with someone for a while? Of course. But I'm also happy with who I am and I'm comfortable being sad about a loss without feeling the need to explain myself anymore, and that's good enough for me. 🤘🏻
@Jack62 Interesting. Sage advice for most situations, I should think. 1 and 4 seem easy enough, at least for me. It's already how I try to live my life. 3, as someone who is autistic, I would love a world where I'm free to not make assumptions. There's a lot I'm expected to already know, and people get offended or angry if I don't. Some people get evasive or simply refuse to answer if I ask for clarification, so the only thing I can do is draw conclusions from my own observations. Lack of assumptions is dependent on good communication, and communication is a two-way street.
2 is the one I have the biggest problem with. It's excellent advice if it's just a bit of name-calling and the like. Let's take the example of politicians who enact laws specifically meant to hurt people like me. And people who support those politicians, and are vocal in support of those laws and policies. That's not something I can afford to ignore. When someone is trying to dehumanize you, that's something you absolutely should take personally. If you don't, if you simply try to ignore it, eventually you will be the victim of needless suffering.
Tbh Im kinda thinking of blocking you myself
@OliveGreen That would make me crazy. I don't know whether to laugh or feel aggravated for ya. I do think a little of the problem is some clients are too lazy to scroll, much less read. I would block those members also.
blocking is capped at 200. A friend told me.
@Sooson Are you teasing, LOL? I assume so.
@IronLemon Interesting, this mindset (of the illustration) leaves a trail of finished rendered positive vibrations.. the intent alone makes up for any energy required to execute it. -Bravo
@GuitarGar I don't follow what you mean. Can you explain?
@IronLemon
I carry copies of that book with me and hand them out to people I think may benefit from it. It’s a short book and an easy read so it’s more likely someone will finish it thank if it was long.
Asking the same series of questions on repeat, because you're too lazy to read or scroll, would drive me crazy too and I would be tempted to just block them.
