  • Pop a top on a cold one, and be thankful. A greater power has your back.

    @TxTom is correct. I used this quote earlier this week, too - "Rejection is God's protection."

  • You look so different with shorter hair and a hat @MountainCuddles. I forget sometimes that you are a mere lad of 31, lol. I wish I was 31 and lived in So-Cal, lol.

  • 📢🚨🛑PSA - LONG POST AHEAD!!! 📢🚨🛑

    @GuitarGar Welcome to the site. 😊
    I know you've posted a few thought provoking threads and I'm grateful for your willingness to openly share your experience. There is a TON of other threads about getting blocked and reading through those might ease the frustration a bit. There's been some insightful responses and sage advice already given... I just noticed a few nuances in what you were saying.

    I didn't think I cared, as I'm typing this a single tear rolled down my cheek. I'm floored. I can't change what happened, because I have no idea. There's a lesson here...... You want to explain yourself, and they keep speeding off.... I live in please everybody world, and just got an online block shock.

    I can relate to this feeling. There have been times where I have been connecting with someone about really deep or serious things and then poof, blocked. Initially I wanted to ask and discuss and "explain myself" because of my fear that I had said something hurtful for this kind of reaction. (You and I come from the land of GenX which is a slightly different universe I think.)

    Maybe its who we were raised to be... "please everybody" or it could be that is who you've become.... but maybe there can also be beauty in letting everyone be exactly as they are, in exactly the moment they are in. And if that means they say "I don't need to converse with you anymore..." then so be it. This cuddleverse brings us really close to people in ways they might not actually be ready for. Sometimes you can't know UNTIL you have experienced it and realize you need to back away from it. A LOT of it can feel like an experiment... sort of.

    It would be EXTREMELY different if this were one of my close friends of 5 or 6 years, then I would be much more desirous of trying to figure out what happenend..... but someone I cuddled once? Nah. They might be smack in the middle of figuring out all of their life happenings and don't have the words or tools or time or energy to share all that with you.

    PART TWO

    This was the part I wanted to sort of address differently than most.

    The friend and the karma is gone
    But dang I'm trying to save my karmas up they got snatched with the block.

    I know its tough when you've just started, and finally get to connect with someone and then the bubble bursts because you are back to square one of waiting to meet people with ZERO karma again etc.

    It seems like you're heart is telling you why it is impacting you so much. The karma is gone, and along with it a certain amount of validation.... maybe that is what hurts along with the block.

    If you've read ANY of the forum threads, you know its not easy to meet people and not easy to get together with new people unless you have a little bit of an approval from other cuddlers. Over and over its been said, Karma doesn't tell the whole story. YOU tell your story. What I have seen so far from your profile and your posting in the forums is that you appear to be a very thoughtful, deep thinker who has a desire to show kindness. THAT is the thing that will help you in this world of cuddles. You just joined a little bit ago and I can imagine with your hope to connect, that it is VERY challenging when something/someone seems to have found a way to block that goal for you.

    Wishing for you all the good things.... and all the peace that goes along with being a beautiful human. 🌈🦋😊

    I've said my thoughts a few times (but it always bears repeating I suppose) about being your authentic self. Some will LOVE IT and others would rather you be something different. I'm better now that I realize I only want to be around those people who like me AS I AM. I am not going to be everyone's cup of tea. Be that as it may, its a tough recording of my youth that I get to change... in the meantime... YOU DO YOU... they will come.

  • @starrynitecuds wow I'm so sorry that happened to you your uncle is really weird and mean.

  • [Deleted User]donhulio (deleted user)

    @sillysassy, those are some very wise words. Helpful for me even as a while ago I had to process a less impactful but still not-pleasant similar situation.

  • @GuitarGar posted: "I'm trying to save my karmas up they got snatched with the block."

    Karma is deleted purposefully by the writer, it does not disappear automatically with a block.

    @WriterGF posted: "Someone may not have interacted with you at all, but blocked you because they didn't like something you posted."

    Absolutely. Just because someone has never PM'd you before doesn't at all indicate that the block wasn't purposeful due to your behavior in some other way. 🪃

    I don't block for stuff like that, but if someone says sexist, racist, or otherwise disturbing crap on the board or in their profile, I quote it and link it in a Note on their profile so if they ever do contact me, I know where they stand. Most times, mods ban them after flags or reports, anyway. But some pricks remain.

    @OliveGreen @MountainCuddles
    Anytime I get asked something that is already in my profile, I just direct them to read that section of it. I know mine is long and I certainly don't expect the majority to read it; it's there for those like myself who are detail-oriented, and for the FAQ's, so I can easily direct people to them instead of always typing it out again. ⌨️ Saves me so much time. 😊 It also alleviates any question that I'm treating anyone differently. My policies are clearly shown, across the board.

    @IronLemon posted: "it rolled off their backs and onto their kids and everyone around them."

    You are very wise. 😔

    @Jack62 @IronLemon
    I've seen the second agreement get twisted as an excuse for never taking responsibility for one's actions and how they affect others. There are consequences to our actions, and what others do can 100% be because of us. Do they make their own choices? Of course, but we made ours, too, and there will be repercussions, good or bad.

    Asking the same series of questions on repeat, because you're too lazy to read or scroll, would drive me crazy too and I would be tempted to just block them.

    You know how many times I’ve had pros come over and once they are there, ask me who I live with when it clearly says in my profile that I’m married. When I say my wife, they always look surprised. I’m like, it’s said in my profile for 9 years now that I’m married. I will go as far as to say that the majority of pros, don’t read their clients profiles.

  • Aw. Sorry. As someone who feels things really deeply (both a blessing and a curse lol), I feel for you. Try not to let it get to you too much, as difficult as that can be for people like us. I'm a big time overthinker. But I have been trying to focus on what I do bring to the table and try to put my energy and time on the people who want that in their lives.
    I live way too far from you for cuddles but happy to be another friend to chat to if interested. Hang in there. :) hugs

    A lot of love in this post. Thank you all for taking the time to send interesting, kind informative feedback.

    These are the things that in the moment we take for granite...I always think about what is required by software like this for us to literally read each other's thoughts.

    Data mining is real

    We are vulnerable at various times in our lives, especially when trying to gain trust. We do this by giving personal data that we normally wouldn't, to show transparency.

    I hope I didn't screw up by giving all my personal information to a pro in the name of protocol...Ugh.

  • I think I am blocked by some of the mods. Not sure what that’s about. I suppose I’m just not everyone’s cup of tea.

    And that’s fine.

    Hi all. I had spoken with the other party involved and they were kind enough to provide context (though they know they don’t have to explain if they wish for their reasoning to be private). It should be understood among both why it happened and I see the reason was provided in their DM. I am going to lock this thread, though if someone (not involved) wants to continue a general discussion about it, please feel free to start your own thread.

    @MonkeyNeedsAHug
    Def not by me 🫂 I don’t think I have ever blocked anyone.
