Reverse-anonymous karma

With the people problems I see on the forums and from chatting, something that always comes to mind is karma.
I think karma is there for other people to see if you're a good cuddler or one to avoid. Or it's supposed to

But there's a conflict of interest, I think. People might be inclined to leave good karma, 1) because they don't want to insult the cuddler or push them away, and 2) a bad karma might incite some unfair retaliation.

Wouldn't it be better if the karma was hidden from the cuddler?
That way, reviewers can be more honest and actually inform others if someone is a great cuddler or someone to avoid.
That would also fix some bad behavior. If someone gets some bad karma, theyll probably just make a new account. But if they didn't KNOW, then everyone would be more informed. Like "hey, watch out for Paul. Hes pushy" or "Theyre very trustworthy"
(Id go nuts wondering what ppl wrote though 😅😬)

    Karma can be good but it can also be an exchange that doesn’t really represent true feelings. I look for the effort put into it as well as the karma left for the same person, if any. Too many times the karma left is only there so positive karma is received.

    take karma at face value...
    here's the bottom line. If someone has a dozen karma from people saying they met the person in real life, and that person isn't in prison or on the front page news, then most likely they're not a serial killer or something, cause they'd probably have been reported/busted by now.

    Just reiterating what most people here probably feel….
    I don’t even read karma on someone’s profile. The words used to describe a Cuddler may or may not be very revealing.
    But I do pay attention to whether they have it or not. I am definitely more interested in meeting someone who has it than someone without it.
    It’s validation that they’ve had in-person experience here. There is no proof that they were especially safe or a good cuddler, Only that they may be more aware of what it takes to get a cuddle session.
    I imagine there are some unsafe people here who have good karma.

    ETA in reality, many/most of my Cuddlers had no karma at all. Sometimes I was their first session. And they were (almost always) absolutely wonderful guys and there was never a problem.
    Ultimately It’s all about the screening. That is the most important thing.

    Wouldn't the hiding of Karma from someone make it difficult to counter, if needed, what was written (in this online world of fake or intentionally false reviews...)

    Also, just like commendation may motivate someone to live up to the image others have of said person, might having positive Karma motivate the person to live up to the Karma he or she has received? 🤔

    If a person has a number of 5-star reviews, in my experience, they are probably accurate.

    valid points and I think people are more likely to leave zero karma for someone they had a bad experience with than to trash them on the site and risk getting retaliatory bad (but untrue) review.

    @OverTheMooon Maybe an option where we could not only leave public karma but also submit feedback to the mods which appears on the profile only when they view it to potentially aide in processing reports or otherwise tracking habits or behaviors? Just a thought.
