Mine

When I charge phone that night my buddy text says he found lovecof his life they been together ever since off a random number I gave to him

Another
I got in accident and because I was a full time uber driver I was forced to work locally walking distance I met a cook there and learned some amazing tricks about cooking and baking

Feel free to check my previous discussions for the other community quizzes or would that lead to a butterfly effect? Something you read mow you forgot to take the trash out and wife skipped dinner. Who knows

  • When I travel, I often chat with other passengers for a bit, and will usually give my card if it was pleasant. Over the years, some of those contacts turned into long-term clients or friendships.

As a result, I have open invitations to go hunting or fishing at some really interesting places around the country.

  • I was supposed to meet somebody for the first time and they stone-cold stood me up. Confirmed the night before, then complete radio silence. Oh well, c'est la vie. (Tip for life: always arrange to meet strangers in or near a pub ... just in case.)

About a week later I happened to notice her number, and I sent a nice, "what happened, are you ok?" kind of message. She has now been my [platonic] flatmate for a year and has made a real difference to my life.

  • @SunsetSnuggles now you come to mention it, I never did find out why she didn't show. Just had a bad day and couldn't face it at the last minute, I think.

  • @CuddleDuncan
😆 Time to corner her in the kitchen for a roommate talk, and get to the bottom of this. 😛

  • I went to school here way back when. Later, I had a job I didn't really like, and they were hiring, so I came out here. A few years later, I left and moved to another state to be with a girl I'd met online. This place was a personal dead end for me then so I was already looking for somewhere else to go. Met her and her friend (who would also be living with us) at a brand new science fiction convention which I saw advertised on one of the webcomics I read. I also found a local Linux User's Group, which led to me getting a job. And the science fiction convention led to me taking a swordfighting class. After I broke up with that girlfriend, I ended up dating someone from the swordfighting group.

Later on, I started to not like my job, so I went back to school. That got me an internship at a company, helped by someone from the Linux Users Group who worked there. That led to a full-time job which I enjoyed for quite a while. Meanwhile, I broke up with my girlfriend, and several years later, met someone else at the science fiction convention who I ended up dating for about a year. We started talking because my speech patterns sounded familiar to her. We'd talked for a good while about 5 years before that. This time we kept in touch.

Later, I stopped liking my job. It was time to move on. So now I'm back here at the school again. The director of the IT department is someone who started when I worked here last, so I already had an in. And I've made at least one good friend here.

There's ripples upon ripples upon ripples. And I've left a lot out for the sake of brevity.
