I think it would be a great idea to make it so anyone newer then 6 months is not able start threads in the forum (but can totally still comment!!). Seems like a huge amount of threads started by newbies end up in fights (involving many seasoned members too!) and are always only asking (and re-asking, ad infinitum) one of only a few questions anyways. 🤷♀️ Not their fault.... they just don't know yet and need time to watch and learn.
Give new peeps some time to get acclimated here before they throw themselves into the pit of lions LOL This is a very new and novel website for pretty much everyone, so there's definitely a learning curve! And most people miss all the informative stickied posts before asking questions on the forums too.
Plus, the forums here are very different than most social media sites, and that has it's own steep learning curve 😜
@RedFox16 Seconded. I don't mind a thoughtful thread, but when it's four within their first day, or twenty in two weeks...yes, it would be highly beneficial to everyone for them to spend more time reading and learning, first. 🫣

I think people should have to wait 6 months to hire a pro or be a pro. They shouldn't be able to just jump in and do it. They need to be more educated on the site first and not cause problems.
There should be tabulators on pros profiles showing how many cuddles and clients they have had here. It would be independent of the review system.
@happyhour 💯 Agree with your first post. It's crazy to see some of the questions and confusions posted by Pro's who signed up as soon as they joined. I really appreciated a few like @cuddlefaery who joined in on the community before going Pro.
Regarding your second post - that would be interesting, as so many users, Pro and client, claim to have had so many more sessions than their Karma reflects... It's often by those with no or extremely low Karma.
Enthusiasts couldn't be tracked, since their cuddles aren't booked in the system, and Pro's and clients who re-book outside the system to circumvent the 15% wouldn't be reflected. But it would still be very interesting data.
@RedFox16 Agreed, posting to a mature group when you're learning the ropes of just basic interaction without a local dynamics education is frustrating. I've been warned, posts taken down, posts stopped and commented on etc. But I've also received positive feedback, listening ears, encouraging words without of which I would have already left.
I've been through the social ringer in many many other social test zones. It's tough here but not because we are a superior group, but because the social price is higher. We feature a paid service here that is difficult in differentiating value from one to the other..it's a value on one self, which is good as an entrepreneur but very challenging upon execution..
Here's an idea, what about a post zone for newbies?
@SunsetSnuggles if they're claiming they met people on CC and had sessions without the data to back it up, that's one thing. However, CC isn't the entirety of the platonic cuddle community, it's only one small slice. Likewise, many pros are also signed up on other platforms or run their own business websites, etc., and the karma here is likely to not reflect that.
The people who have cuddled with me from CC can attest that I'm experienced and know what I'm doing, but my karma doesn't reflect that because I don't ask partners/clients from other platforms to review me here, nor do I ask for karma from friends I've met here 🤷🏻♀️ Maybe I'm in the minority, but I'm sure I'm not the only one. I have testimonials on hand if needed and a couple references willing to talk to potential partners, but so far it hasn't been necessary.
Re: a waiting period to start threads - this would be a great idea as it could also potentially cut down on trolls creating new accounts after they are banned. A lot of other forums I have participated in have a points or ranking system in place - you rank up by filling out your profile, posting an intro in the welcome thread, commenting and interacting with others' threads. Only after you've met the requirements to rank up are you allowed to start your own discussion. Some even require that you read and comment on stickied threads to show you've read the rules, etc., before you can access or comment on any other threads.
It would cut down on a lot of the frustration all around - newbies for getting jumped on for their ignorance, and longer-term members for having to answer/see the same questions over and over again. I also wouldn't mind if a lot of threads got combined and certain topics were restricted to sticky threads to cut down on the number of repeats.
@RedFox16 Not sure about that. New peeps can start fights/ask recycled questions with a comment just as easily as with a new thread.
@happyhour Requiring a client to wait 6 months before booking a Pro is a bad idea. A recipe for the site unnecessarily losing money.
However, a tab idea is good ---especially a tab displaying both the number of completed cuddles and cancellations, like a ratio (example, 10 - 2), would give clients an idea of a Pro's track record, since karma is highly unreliable.
@SunsetSnuggles I have suggested before that as the Pro gains experience with more and more completed bookings, the 15% fee ought to be gradually reduced. This would incentivize keeping bookings on site.
A Pro with 100+, or 200+ karmas (or, more importantly, completed bookings) has definitely proven herself and has already made a lot of money for the site. No reason her fee should be the same as a new Pro with only 1, 2 or 10 completed bookings.
➵ TxTom ☕️ coffee & 🫂 cuddle addict
...adding to TxTom's tab revealing cancellations...Pros should be able to defend the cancel. I've had so many agree to a deposit and then back out of it. Those are 95% of my cancels, but if you don't see my reasoning, people may suspect bad service on my part.
Not every session is reviewed and when the service is bad I request they do not leave karma because when I give it back the only speck of positivity I could conjure on some is “the room temperature was great” and some not even that. So I have 40+ karma but the number of people cuddled is probably 200. Some want karma, some don’t, and if it was just routine and they don’t say anything after the session then neither do I. Long story short, it is fool’s gold to believe that one’s collection of karma—big or small—captures their entire cuddle experience. As with most people the tip of the iceberg is a visible reminder of the massive ice tumor beneath the surface. People show what they choose to show.
I have suggested before that as the Pro gains experience with more and more completed bookings, the 15% fee ought to be gradually reduced.
What incentivizes pros more is once they give their number out after a successful first meeting the fee drops to 0% instantly.
Given that the marketing of the site sends the message just sign up and you'll be cuddling, putting a six month moratorium on hiring pros would kill the place. I understand the idea of getting to know the site first, but the only way to do that is through the forums, and we already know only a fraction of the membership ever comes here.
@TxTom my 6 month remark was meant to be as ridiculous as the pro's suggestion just above mine to restrict newbies to waiting 6 months before posting a topic on the FREE part of the site. IMO that's elitist since she doesn't list a similar longevity client requirement on her profile.
I read profiles but seems odd how few "repeat clients" there are in karma but there's lots of bragging about repeat clients here. That would be an interesting tab, along with cancellations.
I would like for this site to have more marketing and clicks and users and PR and keyword optimization and whatever it takes to grow the cuddle community (especially in my town!) by some small percentage. I would like to know how to do my part to make this happen in a sensible way. No idea if this has been addressed in 27 other threads before and I have been reading some of the press links and the daily show coverage was amazing, but it seems like there are different stakeholders doing varied things and I’d like to see some of the profits of the company going back into growing the size of the pie, rather than just competing for a larger slice of the same pie, if that makes sense.
@happyhour I don’t care what you think of the topic being good or bad, but @RedFox16 is a stand-up person. And if you knew her story and what she does IRL you would probably feel like a schmuck. She is anything but elitist. I think she is frustrated by the amount of new people signing up and having bad experiences then leaving prematurely like this is some kind of Darwinian social site. She said it in the spirit of educating newbies. I think she was tossing out an idea for a discussion, which makes sense considering what she does. But elitist?? That is the last term I would apply to her.
Why is there a limit to how many people you can block?
@KaceofSpades
What’s the limit?
Oh I'm curious now too
Thank you @TheFunCartel for such kind words and being a wonderful example of a self-aware and thoughtful person! I am immensely honored to know you too! 🤗😎☺️
My suggestion is due to the fact that this is a site where there are a great deal of people looking for help in their lives and healing touch. How members behave in the very public forums, can greatly affect some people that are struggling and looking for a safe space. THAT is why I made the suggestion that I did. I have met some of the most beautiful souls here, and I know how important it is to feel like we have safe spaces in life....online or IRL. 🌟💗🌎
And @happyhour ironically, you managed to prove my point in only 2 comments. So thank you for that! And I guess it also proves @TxTom 's point too....so touché 😜 Also, I don't understand what you mean by my suggestion being "elitist". Maybe you can help me understand what you mean? 🤷♀️
More than that, tho.... @GuitarGar you proved my point when you created several threads that were aimed negatively at another member in the public forums ....that thousands of others here are able to read.
And while you may have learned and grown from that experience (and yes, learning and growing is a beautiful thing for us humans to do), your actions still caused damage to another human being in the process....where you are wholely unable to know what lasting issues there will be for them and their reputation. Therefore, if you hadn't been able to create those threads, another member on here would not have had to endure that super stressful and upsetting experience. All the while, you are here, seemingly patting yourself on the back for "what you learned" from your own harmful actions towards another (wonderful) human being.
It is not, in any way, shape or form, a positive thing that happened....no matter how your comment is trying to spin it now. And all those corrective actions taken against you (that you mentioned above in your own comment), are because you chose to do things that are against the rules or just plain mean. And having that many corrective actions taken against a person in SUCH a short amount of time on here, is extremely rare....in my experience. Especially needing to have a WHOLE post removed.
Please do not respond to my comments anymore. Thank you.
Flagged by a member of the community. Removing comment as it appears to have been made to circumvent a block. [CharlieBear]
If there is anyone in this thread, or on this website that has a problem with my actions, please listen carefully, I am not mean.
I am a person.
I respect and honor all people. If you hate me, I don't hate you. The door is always open, if I can say a kind word to you I live for that. If you can accept those words even better.
If forgiveness is needed I forgive you. If there is an apology wanted of course, I apologize. If you need love and a kind word, I can't say or do it enough.
Can someone turn off the lights please, it's smelling like gas in here!
Haha yes..it was a lil over the top
@RedFox16 Regarding your response to GuitarGar: I could not have said it better myself. Glad you had the words to say it.
The block limit is 200. I don't remember what thread this was discussed in, but I think someone was blocking hundreds of people, then when some people fell off or whatever they blocked more? Something to that effect. A very poor paraphasing of the reason for limiting it and maybe someone else can put their finger on the recent thread this was on.
@GuitarGar Actually, you were the one to steer that thread down that path, so you did have control of the comments. The thread was titled "Should I quit?" yet you again used that thread to play the victim and comment on it of "I have no idea why I was blocked..." and that's when the thread took a turn. Thread gone, but I'm willing to bet money on it and request a mod to confirm. You did do it.
I agree @FriendlyFemale. Also I saw some spin even tho he said he did not spin. He basically seems to be the opposite of what he says he is. I believe his "who little old me?" patter is just to try to discredit someone he is not happy with.
@achetocuddle I'm glad we're all seeing through it, though. What's that phrase? "Give a man enough rope..." yeah, you know the rest
Lol, @FriendlyFemale . Yeah. And nobody even had to give him the rope
@FriendlyFemale Give a man enough rope and he too can do macrame.
Give a man enough rope and he will measure the inches.
Give a man enough rope and he can tie up loose ends.
Give a man enough rope and you will find out his hang ups.
