Heartbreak

So I'm reaching the point of accepting a break up and I find myself struggling to keep it together from day to day. I don't have many close friends and I'm not on speaking terms with much of my family so basically I'm here hoping to find cuddles or at least some kind words 🥺

  • Big hugs!!!🤗

  • Very sorry to tead this.
As someone who went through one hell of a mess with an ex years ago Im sympathetic
There is no easy way to deal with a break up, I can say though, that this isn't truly the end, just means it's the end of your journey together. It is important to remember though that with every ending is a new beginning as cheesy as it sounds.
I'm a realistic person so I can't promise you rainbows and sunshine, it's gonna hurt but it will get better and you will experience a wonderful relationship that makes you forget about all the pain, or at least move passed it. I would recommend finding a therapist to talk to cause they can be very helpful for times like this, just hang in there an stay strong, without the bad in life we would never appreciate the good

@87spoon87 Hugs to you. The silver lining to all this is as you get older this will seem but a momentary bump in the tapestry of your life and believe it or not, you will laugh at it. But I know it hurts in the moment. Best wishes to you!

There are studies out there that are building a case that most romantic relationships are inherently temporary because humans are inherently searchers and strivers. In other words we look for something different all the time. This doesn’t mean cheating, it means we lose focus of the core things that brought two people together because what we are looking for changes. People looking for permanent romance are like salmon swimming upstream against our very nature. Don’t know if I buy the whole theorem but much of it is compelling. I know I don’t sweat romantic stuff as much, but I do not get easily bowled over by the notion of romance either.

  • Breakups are always difficult no matter what age. It might help if you throw yourself into something you’re passionate about or something you’ve been wanting to do but have put off.
Learning another language, zumba or any work out class, meet up groups that go camping, etc. I think a partner dance class might be best as you automatically get someone to touch you, such as a salsa, bachata, or tango class. That level of touch can make you feel better even if it’s not from a romantic partner.
Avoid looking at persons social media, listening to love songs or anything that reminds you of them. Keep the body moving and the mind will stay active in a positive way. Avoid romantic movies too. Hope this helps a bit.

  • That's so hard! 😔 I'm sorry you're dealing with that.

  • Focus on building yourself up and setting your hearts boundaries, so when the right person for you is drawn into your circle you will be stable enough to be you and accepted by whoever they may be.

Its not easy heartbreak, iys emotianl for sure. But life is so much more peaceful when you are about your needs of loving yourself.

I only can say this because I have been in your position several times in my life. Have fun exploring the world according to you.

  • While I am far from an expert in any area concerning the mind, heart, and soul the only words I can offer is that "IF" you are feeling anger then simply realize that anger is unresolved hurt. Try to resolve and clear that hurt and anger has nowhere to reside in your mind or heart.

Also, though its difficult for each of US to do, try to step outside yourself and figure out the reasons you either created or failed to satisfy your 'ex' and learn from those reasons.

One can nevah-evah communicate too much. Even with a partner that by nature keeps things inside them.

    Hope you heal and recover.........slowly.

  • Seriously thank you all so much. What an amazing community of kind and gentle souls

  • It's good to at least be able to recognize and vocalize that feeling. I know for me it took a lotta years to become man enough to do that. Good on you for recognizing and speaking to it and seeking guidance. Time does help though.

  • Aww I'm sorry. I'm in the middle of a divorce so I definitely get it. I'd cuddle you up if you didn't live so far from me. Hang in there!!
