Are people Really looking to cuddle or is this just another hook-up site?
I'm sure there are some people who think this is a hook-up site, but it's not. There are many people here who are really looking to cuddle and stay true to the purpose of the site. People who are specifically looking to hook-up are reported and eventually banned. There are many other sites for that.
Everything here is intended to be completely platonic. It is not a sex site or a dating site

@Sooson - I think paused means until something related to their account is fixed, usually a non-pro trying to charge. Maybe somebody didn't like his username in this case.

If someone is trying to hook up or ask you to pay extra for things like a massage or to be topless or any flippin hanky panky report them. There are other websites for all that hook up stuff.

If his name caused him to be paused that's troubling. What if his name was Christoff? Or what if he likes to proclaim his belief either way it shouldn't cause any issue. But it's not surprising that over policing to make everyone comfortable happens. It makes me want to list all the things i don't like so we can address usernames.

I've seen related issues being discussed aplenty on the forums lately, but there's a lot of complex psychology and interacting systems at play here, of which below I will merely discuss what I believe is the most important.
I don't think any of this justifies people who use this site for patently the wrong purpose, and I may simply be a sensitive flower, opinionated, or wrong, but I do think there is a category error if one makes the assumption that there are "sites like CC", but for dating or hookups.
To reframe the statement in an analytically and categorically correct manner: There are dating and hookup sites, but they are nothing like CC.
The truth is that people on here are far less judgemental, easier to connect with, and actually willing to interact with you impartially. Which as it currently stands, simply isn't something you're going to get on a dating or hookup app or site, that in their current state also only work for a small percentage of the population.
The truth is that the kind of people who run dating apps and sites to begin with, are extremely money hungry, selfish, and far less compassionate than whoever started CC, and all this is reflected in the platforms themselves. This is the fundamental reason for the aforementioned problems with dating apps when you get to the bottom of it beyond the technicalities.

Just think about that for a moment.

It's a nice dream, but it's simply not reality. Hundreds of men on this board have said so.
The dream and promise of easy, free cuddles is what brings in the masses. Then they realize how few and far between we female enthusiasts are, they become defeated, and most eventually give in (or are directly told by users here) to hire Pro's. Of which the site gets a 15% cut.

I can tell you for a fact that this website would look a lot different if the same companies that run dating apps were running CC.
You're making a tangential point that's actually missing my point. If men are unintelligent enough to misinterpret that sentence from CC's About Us, that's on them.
That there are no large masses being brought in to CC, is actually part of the reason why the statement isn't literally true. If you compare numbers, CC has a miniscule userbase.
Altruistic businesses tend to under-advertise in favor of cultivating good values and community. I know because I technically run one.

I was here before pros were a thing. Back then, I don't think the owners made money at all. Maybe there were ads then... I don't remember.
I think when pros were added, it was as much a way for the guys to find cuddles at all as it was to make any money. The site didn't have many active users in any area. It was a dead zone.
But then over time, it has morphed into what it is now.
I was recommended cuddle therapist by my therapist, after a crap relationship 8 years with no affection or cuddles, well turns out it catches up with you lol.
All I can say is I'm glad I came across this site, and I'm glad I found at least one person to cuddle with. Cause it is definitely helping,but would be nice to find an enthusiast to cuddle with.
Obviously any type of site there are always gonna be people trying to hook up, or do sexual favour for cash, all you can do is report them.
I cam honestly say any of the people I have encountered or reached out to have been genuine and professional, and there are lots of friendly people on here, even if they are too far to cuddle, I still enjoy reading these discussions an dropping a line from time to time. I actually cuddle through this site. The ambiguous situation is that the “homie sexual” movement, popular with men in the ages 20s something, advocates no sex on the first date but advocates the first date should be a cuddle session to establish a bromance without sex and developing a sexual relationship late. So here is a loop hole of how this site is being used for both actual cuddling and dating.

It's funny since just 50 miles away is one of the biggest cities, but it sure is a pain to drive there for just 1 hour or however long a person needs some physical companionship.
