Not sure it's been mentioned, but if you like taking a drive, how about a cruise on the pacific coast highway, I've heard it's very beautiful and there are little places you can stop along the way.

If you are in the San Clemente area ... I highly recommend going to the Mission of San Juan Capistrano. Beautiful grounds and maybe you will see a swallow or two. Read up on it first. Have a great time!!!
There are 21 missions in California. I’ve visited most of them. They’re all worth it.

Me too! Very similar architecture and the environment is serene and peaceful. This NYC based cuddler is jealous and wishes he too were heading to California. I will be there is November. Again ... enjoy your trip immensely.

The rollercoaster in my profile picture is, I believe, the oldest wooden rollercoaster still operating in the US at a bit over a hundred years old. It is on the Santa Cruz boardwalk near the beach. I've only been on it once, but I found it a fun two minutes, lol.

I'm a native Floridian.....used to live just down the road from Big Lick TN....adore California. The heat is only going to get worse, year over year hotter and hotter. Humans can't survive above 116....the last 3, now 4 summers are in that range in places, soon to be everywhere. We can escape a hurricane, same for a tornado, and fires, but there will be no escape from the heat.........enjoy your summer

Hurray! I haven't been on the rollercoaster beyond the one time. I'd enjoy a trip to the boardwalk again very much. There is a lot to do there.
