Give someone a random shoutout!

One thing we used to do at work was Cheers for Peers where we would write notes of appreciation for our coworkers. I loved the idea and feel the world needs more gratitude so wanted to start this thread! Basically, you can give anyone (friend, coworker, family member, cuddler on this site) a shoutout.

I wanted to shoutout my neighbor who kindly offered to take a look at my car when the windshield wipers weren't working! I was worried I'd have to drop a ton of money on a repair, but he found out it'll be a relatively easy fix that was covered under warranty. Who's someone you want to give a shoutout to?

I would like to give an off-site shout-out to the sweet guy at the pizza shop in Denver. It was 1:00 A.M., but he greeted us with a smile, showed us the vegan section on the iPad menu, and he seemed to really get a kick out of how excited I was to see vegan white pizza! 🍕🤭 He even brought out an ingredient from the back, when we asked what made the pizza so creamy, later on. Thank you for the cheerful customer service, Chris! We'll be back soon!

  • I'd like to give a shout out to my barber, we've formed a great friendship over the years , even went to my first pride parade with her and her husband, good time but not doing that again, so many things I can't unsee, the atmosphere of love though what an overwhelming experience.

I always look forward to going in for a shave, I'm telling you as a man if you haven't had a nice relaxing shave from a barber you are missing out. Plus she is the only person I trust to shave me lol.

It's great though the only woman who ever gives me sincere genuine compliments, and as a man they mean a lot. We can joke around, vent about shit, an even go to the park to meditate sometimes.

I truly appreciate having such a genuine, kind, big hearted person in my life. I like to surround myself with positive people, a lesson i learned years ago, don't surround yourself with zeros or people who will never lift you up.

I just wish everyone had people like that in their life, it really does make a difference.

  • Absolutely love this!! Big thanks to the Amish man, Arvin and his two sons who helped me put my spare tire on Friday 💗

Shout out to all the full custody single dads out there, especially the ones with girls. My dad was a full custody single dad for a while, and he held it down for us. Guys can do it, too. 💚

  • Shout-out to the best-dressed guy in town... I don't know his name, but he lives in boots and chaps, with knives strapped to various hips and ankles, a cowboy hat, and I just can't convey the cool factor without you seeing his style. It's not dusty rancher like everyone else in town, it's bordering on steampunk but in a subtle, bad@ss way. To boot, his dog lost an eye and he still loves her, and nursed her through the awful ordeal. Thank you, sir cowboy, for your care for animals, your impeccable style, and for looking me in the eye and saying, "Thank you, ma'am" with genuine sincerity when I complimented you. A rare breed, indeed. 🐎

    @CuddleHugs01234
I second the mod shout-out! ✨️ Thank you for all you do - as volunteers, no less! 🫂 This place would be a zombie apocalypse, without your daily efforts.

  • I don't know anyone named Random, but I do know somebody named Chance. So, hi Chance!

More seriously, to my friend who's helping me through difficult times while going through difficult times himself.

  • I should also shootout my best friend, we haaaated each other in high school till we took wood shop together, and he's a brother for life, he's been there through the best and absolute worst times of my life, I don't think I'd be alive today without him. Especially considering my life long battles with mental health.

Even when we go long periods without contact we pick up where we left off. They say you can't choose your family sadly, but he might as well be blood, I still remember one time a guy running his mouth and I took off after him, an Mike (my best friend) jumps on my back trying to stop me, didn't slow me down, but he got me to cool off, I'd die for that guy any day. I'm protective of the people I care about, sometimes a little too much lol.

The amount of shit we went through together or on our own, we have a bond that just can't be broken.
I could spend my life trying to say thanks and still not enough, he wanted a 3d printer, got chu, funds are tight need stuff for the family, got chu, no questions asked no repayment. I just can't do enough to make up for how much of a brother he is.

In the words of iron maiden, we're blood brothers \m/

  • Shout out to the female enthusiasts who do this out of fulfillment of helping others. Especially when they could charge a relatively small amount to do this. This is not commentary on any platonic pros, who do charge a relatively low price to help others. I'm sure it's appreciated.

  • A shoutout to my friends on here. I’m thankful for y’all! :)

  • A shout out to whomever is reading this thread in 2040. Glad the world hasn't ended yet.

Or, to the first Pro to reach 5,000 karma. Way to go.

  • Shout out to a recent cuddle partner, who upon hearing that I was taking my van to have the air conditioning fixed, mentioned that he had all of the tools and a tank of the exact gas that was needed at his home. We met at a neutral location and he recharged my air conditioning. What a gem of a human. Next cuddle we bartered some extra time into the deal!! Win-win!!

Definitely a shout out to the mods @CharlieBear @cheeseboy @JoyfulHeart and anyone else I may be missing.

Thank you so much for investing COUNTLESS hours into contributing your time, energy, patience and brain cells, every single day to making this a better platform.

Thank you for tirelessly moderating the message boards, dealing with all the bad behavior and policing so much of the utterly and absolutely idiotic and childish numb skull behavior that is so prevalent here 24/7/365 .

And thank you for doing all of that for free no less.

Shout out to President Jimmy Carter celebrating 100 years today. What an incredible humanitarian.

  • [Deleted User]MaverickLegend (deleted user)

Shout out to the guy that bought a Taylor Swift guitar for $4000 at auction and then destroyed it right after

  • @gem7 Did not know he turned 100 today. Everything you said is true. He spent so many years building up people and housing (literally) rather than spending time destroying a guitar of an artist they happened to not like which is pointless and says everything about the difference between the two people.

  • [Deleted User]gem7 (deleted user)

@TheFunCartel I saw that video. Pretty ridiculous plus a poor imitation of Pete Townsend.
Jimmy Carter is a hero of mine simply for doing so much good for so many.

  • Jimmy Carter is really awesome.
