Generosity: Is it Money $$$$ or the Genuineness

[Deleted User]RenaissanceEQ (deleted user)

I like to believe that genuine people exist, as well as genuine motives in wanting to build a positive community and even friendships on this platform.
I have this burning question. When it comes to the Karma reviews, do you think people only think highly of you because you paid them? Think about it: is it even possible that the same person will give you the same praise even if you don't pay them?

Is generosity really about the genuineness experience or the $$$$ Money?

  • I only have one review and I can definitely say the money wasn't a factor. Be the type of person you'd want others to be, treat people how you'd like to be treated, it costs nothing to be kind and compassionate.

  • I am not inclined to leave good karma if my experience wasn't that great. My goal is to help other pros decide if they want to cuddle with them or not. I understand your concern of buttering someone up because they support you but what is the real harm here? The pro helps you feel better about yourself? Honesty without compassion is cruelty so I tend to focus on the good I see /experience in people rather than criticize them. If it feels disingenuous, I would definitely look inward and ask myself why i don't believe them?

@RenaissanceEQ welcome to the site!!! 😊

Your question is interesting and thought provoking. Thank you!!

    You said…

I like to believe that genuine people exist, as well as genuine motives in wanting to build a positive community and even friendships on this platform.

I 100% agree. I have seen professionals and enthusiasts. You only talk about the exchange of money as it relates to Karma…. I think whether there is money exchanged or NOT people leave Karma for selfish/unselfish reasons. Some are genuine and authentic and some have a motive to increase their popularity or “vettedness” which doesn’t always give an accurate reflection.

You mention in your profile… Being in the…

presence of one another with intentions that are pure and genuine are prodigious and astonishing.

I’m glad to have some more beautiful humans in this cuddle community who have pure and GENUINE intentions.

Good luck to you on your journey as a Pro!! And as always… May the Cuddle Gods be EVER in your favor!! 😊😊😊

    @Estevez I love that!!! 💗

    Honesty without compassion is cruelty…

  • If I leave a karma, it is only because it was a great cuddle and the karma is the real deal......if the cuddle was so-so I don't leave a karma at all.......even if it was bad, I don't say it...maybe I should, I've had some doozies, that I've spoken of on here.

I usually forget to leave Karma unless someone reminds me, truthfully 😅

But I leave karma, based on my personal experience, not because I was paid. Leaving karma on someone’s profile is totally optional and not required but it helps build the community and serves as a good example of the community’s willingness to put safety first. I rarely accept sessions with newer profiles because of the lack of karma on their page, but I do read a potential cuddler’s page and make my decision off of that and their tone when they message me.

  • They are probably hoping for a review in return and trying to generate repeat business

  • Can you leave karma for someone without being a pro? I'm think you can, say other enthusiast want to make sure they are dealing with a cool bean, you get what I mean ?

  • I put my karma on layaway. But it’s a genuine layaway.

  • @TeddyCuddle45 You absolutely can - for example after the cuddle meetups, you see people writing karma for others just to endorse them as awesome human beings. You just need to have messaged back and forth on the site a few times first.

  • @cde123 thank you very much, I wasn't 100% sure on it, so it's good to know.

@TeddyCuddle45 yes anybody can write Karma for anybody, providing you have actually met. Meeting online, for a telecuddle or virtual companionship session, does count. The only circumstance in which Karma can be written without meeting is for a no-show.

Karma should never be relied upon on its own. Always click through and see what you think of the writer. In particular, Karma written by inexperienced professionals should be treated with care: such people are often keen to build their business, and may be scared of false 'revenge' Karma if they don't write something lovely. In reality, false or misleading Karma is routinely deleted by the mods: the writers may be banned or receive some other sanction.

Trading Karma ("I'll write for you if you write for me") is explicitly forbidden and is likely to result in a ban.

It is NEVER acceptable to ask for Karma. However, if your view is positive it is acceptable to ask if somebody would like you to write nice Karma for them. Some people prefer not receive Karma for various reasons (for example it gives them 'plausible deniability'.)

To answer the OP's question, yes it is perfectly common for professionals to write Karma for clients which is wholly genuine and comes from the heart. However it is probably more common for professionals to write generic five-star Karma for clients who satisfied the basic requirements of turning up on time sober and clean, paying without a fuss, and not attempting to break the terms of service. (As @JSP_1 suggests.)

  • Thank you very much the further clarification, I figure karma is like tipping, it's earned not mandatory. Not sure that's a fair comparison depending where you live.

  • When it comes to the Karma reviews, do you think people only think highly of you because you paid them? Think about it: is it even possible that the same person will give you the same praise even if you don't pay them? @RenaissanceEQ

Just to answer the second part, yes it absolutely is possible - I've experienced that with pros, and I know it because they've cut their rates or even cuddled with me for free, a clear demonstration the connection was authentic and not just a reward for getting paid. That said, if the monetary aspect is important to a pro, I don't think that detracts from the cuddle either. Time is money and I'm not trying to get cuddles for free.

There's always going to be a possible ulterior motives if you look hard enough, I think.
Even if it IS meant to encourage you to 'hire' them again, that's not so bad. You book with them to cuddle and feel better. Making you feel better is the point. Do they only cuddle you because they're paid to? Probably 😅 that's not a bad thing, necessarily

(Doesn't matter, I think. I believe karma is used to let other cuddlers know that the session is worth it. It's a business thing, maybe, but it doesn't also have to be untrue) is this formatted strangely?

  • I do some business on Ebay where Karma is called Feedback and they get tangled up in my mind. I've been on Ebay much longer than CC.....but it feels much the same most of the time. Which is to say " of little consequence" both have stock, key phrases, that are repeated until they lose their meaning. Probably more informative is the number of karmas.

  • I pretty much just assume leaving good karma is both a way of hoping for repeat business and also to let other people know that person is ok. Back when I used to read my karma I sort of assumed a person charging over $120 an hour is in it only for the money so whatever good things they might say is nice to read, but I take it with a grain of salt.

  • @RenaissanceEQ

I’m assuming that you’re talking about pro cuddlers. You didn’t specify that but there are pros and there are enthusiasts on this site. Enthusiasts don’t cuddle for a fee and so they actually would leave you karma without having been paid.

    You say

Think about it: is it even possible that the same person will give you the same praise even if you don't pay them?

I don’t think the way this is worded makes it a relevant question because if they are on this site as a pro and I am seeking out their service, then the only way that I would cuddle with them is if I pay them.

Did you mean to say, would that person even cuddle with you if you didn’t pay them? As possibly mean as that sounds I think it’s a more relevant question.

    Getting to your question.

do you think people only think highly of you because you paid them?

Yes and no. Some pros may think a client is amazing and feel like they weren’t on the clock but either forget to leave you karma or they may just not want to leave karma. Some pros may find you to be a less than desirable client, choose to never see you again yet leave you good karma anyway.

If I leave glowing karma, I promise it’s honest and sincere. If the session was so so, my karma will be short and not at all amazing.

Again, I think what you’re really getting at is would these pros like you and cuddle with you if you didn’t pay them. And the answer to that is the same, yes and no. It all just depends on the dynamic between the client and pro.
