@MRyanNYC ngl I don’t like it. I’d prefer all mandatory. But I’ve seen optional verification work well on sites like couchsurfing, where people aren’t posting full names, and women run a high risk of staying with a potentially dangerous man. Every woman I know who uses CS will only stay with a female host or a verified male, so verification is highly incentivized. Hosts also prefer verified guests to protect themselves from robbery or other issues, such as a woman hosting a man in her home.

I feel like text verification might work better than email for catching repeaters. You can have up to four Gmail accounts per phone number, so if you have a landlines and a cell, that's eight email addresses you could use to create accounts here.

Regarding the amount of information someone can get from our homes, it depends on where we live actually. Not everyone lives in the same kind of home.
I live In a luxury high-rise. There is full security, no one gets in the building without a fob or would have to be let in by a resident. The halls are all carpeted and have security cameras up and down the hallways I only host as I said before,
I go down to get my clients and bring them up to my apartment. My apartment number is something they never know because I never give it out. As we’re walking down the hall, I point out the security cameras - not as if they could be guilty of anything but mentioning the amenities. I have a wreath that covers my apartment number.
In the hundreds of sessions I’ve had, I’ve never once had a problem with someone coming back uninvited or even remembering exactly where I live. So you see, I am not really taking any risks.
In all the sessions I’ve had with all the wonderful cuddlers who I’ve met in person, there was only one man who tried to overpower me, I have a huge pipe wrench under my bed. I pulled that out when he tried to take control and he left very quickly. I had gone onto the site and reported him before he made it to his car, I’m sure lol
That is the one and only person I’ve had to report From meeting in person.

Your entire post is excellent, and would be well-placed on this thread:

  • @g_w_t_w - Can't they figure out what your apartment number is by looking at nearby apartment numbers?

  • @Mike403
Definitely... Also, security or no, things can happen fast behind closed doors, and someone can be traumatized for life, whether that person gets identified, convicted, or not. 🥺

You want me to be wrong? lol
But you all don’t know me!
The fact is, I have never had a problem, nothing I couldn’t handle with a good discussion and redirection. With only 1 man, The redirection was straight out the front door.
I’m also at least a decade older than nearly all Cuddlers and most by 30 years. I don’t have sessions with the kind of person who would be a stalker. I stay friends with Cuddlers normally, All they have to do is contact me if they want to talk they don’t need to stalk me.
When I go down to meet a client - if I have any sense that something is off, they’re not coming upstairs to where I live. There are ways to prevent that, There are signals that people give out & I use intuition. I also would never answer my door if I wasn’t expecting someone. I am not in danger and I am not paranoid.
Repeat - None of you know me and I find it sweet that you think you do.
Honestly, my karma are very accurate and I find you all to be fun and entertaining!
    🤩😊🤗

  • The worst part about a banned cuddler, is when you liked the conversation but don’t get a chance to exchange numbers 💔 lol

    lol @Jack62
Maybe for you so you’d better watch your back, but no, not for me.
Sorry to disappoint you, but not everyone is like you. I only use a Google voice number. Only my actual family has my real phone number. You should be sure you’re doing the same

  • jc, but has any banned member ever been re-instated?

  • @Larry007 - yes if it wasn't too serious of an offense and they seem sincere in their appeal message acknowledging what they did wrong and promise not to do it again. Very few appeals are successful. About a 1-2 every few weeks out of dozens of accounts banned per day.

I'm not a mod, I'm just restating what has been said by mods in the past.

  • OMG @ gwtw

  • Some of the worst creeps might be able to convince you otherwise. Ted Bundy seemed like an attractive nice guy at first glance.

@g_w_t_w You face the same security issue any other cuddler does. You feel the precautions you take are sufficient, and that's cool, hope they always will be.

As for the rest, yes, it is harder to get info on an apartment resident than a homeowner. More time-consuming, but not impossible. I've read a lot on skip-tracing for work, and while I can't say someone would make that kind of effort, anyone's info can be had if someone wants it badly enough and knows the tools to use.

You still don’t get it, but you are so sweet to be concerned!
I’ve had wonderful cuddle experiences here, no one bothers me and I’m happy, safe and just fine. I’m in a very different world than many of you, the danger signs you keep bringing up won’t happen to me. There are specific reasons but not something that you could know. Nothing to worry about.
A reminder. You only have your own experiences that are different than mine.

    The End
