Pro Cuddler Service Concerns

[Deleted User]RenaissanceEQ (deleted user)

What would happen if you were a pro-cuddler and you scheduled an appointment with another pro-cuddler? Should both people get paid for services? I think this was an issue with my last client (who's also another Pro Cuddler), who backed off from meeting with me earlier this week.

From my observation, it seems that women aren't comfortable paying men for cuddling services. For that reason, I even have to demote my pro-cuddling status. I love to host and have the freedom to meet up variety of areas with people and create appointments, but it is challenging for women who aren't open to connecting with male Pro cuddlers, respectively.

Pros are able to cuddle for free if they want to, by setting the price to zero in the booking panel, but unless this was agreed beforehand, the person who requested should pay, pro or not.

I don't know that it's "not comfortable" so much as "don't need to." If you have 1000 people offering you something for free, why pay hundreds of dollars for it?

This sounds more like trying to exploit a perceived loophole with female pros to exchange services rather than paying them for their time. Some may want an arrangement like this, but it seems unlikely.

I agree with @cde123 - if you booked a Pro, you pay. If they booked you, they pay. If you were chatting and both said, "Hey, you're awesome, we should cuddle!" then it would be no-charge on both sides, from my understanding. There was a thread about this in recent months, but I can't seem to track it down at the moment.

As far as demand for male Pro's, there are some extremely informative discussion threads linked in my post, here:

  • Omg that's such a good question I wondered that myself, granted I'm not a pro, but curiosity does get the best of me

  • Let's face it though there will always be men wanting to cuddle with women, so why pay for if you can charge a man.
Not saying they are all like that, but come on.

@TeddyCuddle45 Put another way, why not make money doing something you already want to do anyway? For example, I love to write ... I love it more when someone is paying me to do it.

  • @WriterGF yes thank you, sometimes my words don't come out exactly how I want.
I'd definitely rather prefer to be paid for something I enjoy, who wouldn't lol

  • You charge $10 per hour and you want a pro a $100 pro to trade? Or $10 discount from there hourly rate?

  • I'm not a pro but I feel like whoever requested it should pay, or set the price to equal it out at zero. If a female pro requested it it seems silly that they would expect to not have to pay just because they are also a pro. I write books in my spare time but I still pay for the books I want to read. Haha

  • When I’ve cuddled with other pros there was no exchange of money….but by then we were already kinda friends so it was more- hey we are both cuddly people in the same room that do the same thing….snuggle? 😏😂 If they were a very experienced pro and there was something specific to gain from the experience (almost like a class or specific advice or pointers) I’d agree to pay… I’d definitely pay to attend cuddle parties….so it’s situational I think- but in general when pros are meeting with other pros there’s usually rapport with each other already and no one is charging to meet… as a pro I only meet in a group setting or with already established pros. In a very few rare instances I have become good friends with clients and stop charging when I meet with them- but by that time the friendship has blossomed and we’re out doing activities together as friends and not just meeting up to cuddle… It’s the law of reciprocity….If I can call you to go to dinner on a random Tuesday it’s a friendship and (for me) platonic touch in friendship is a given…if you’re only available when you have a specific you need met, and my only liberties in this exchange are meeting to cuddle, then you’re a client and I am providing a paid service…entirely situational regardless of the status you listed on the site.

  • This is what it shows when a pro goes to another pro’s page. The one requesting it pays, unless they make another arrangement of free cuddles.

  • @cuddle_bug88 Thank you for describing friendship that way… I recently had a friendship where doing activities together almost never happened, and I never felt free to call, or stop by… as a result it withered and died, rather than blossoming. Quite sad. It sounds like you have a healthy approach to friendship and I appreciate that you're writing about it. Hugs.

@Allen1974 I demoted my status at the time of this post. I just reapplied for pro status. I personally don't care for charging; I just like to meet people for an enjoyable experience even if it's for free. I like my personal meet-ups to feel genuine & organic and not materialistic, if you know I'm mean. I understand some ladies have safety concerns so I try my best to do free virtual and constant messaging so they can feel comfortable when we meet. I do hope for the best. I don't like to be pessimistic. I understand it takes time and the right promotion.

  • It’s real simple, you have a discussion about it before you schedule your session.

Thank you for the official screenshot! That's what I was describing from memory of hearsay, but now I've saved your reply so I can point people to it, in the future. 💫

  • Even when I was a pro and was paid to cuddle, I did some cuddle sessions for free. A pro doesn’t have to charge. It seems like you could both agree that no money would be exchanged. I think it’s just a choice, right? Charge or not. But please correct me if I’m wrong.

  • Not a pro, but looking back on my wild ride on CuddleComfort.com so far (4 weeks), I realized I would be delighted to pay for a male Pro who could give me the bear hugs I’m missing WITHOUT my needing to police the boundaries. I want to relax, even doze, and they all say sure, of course, you’re in charge…till we’re on the phone or FaceTime., then it changes. I am not innocent: I admit I flirt if they start that dance. I want, I need a cuddler who won’t dance. Who has boundaries for both of us. I’d pay the 1-hour minimum for just 2 or 3 long squeeze-tight hugs. Maybe 15 minutes of work on their part. Would be great to find enthusiasts willing to forgo their own desires, but haven’t found any yet. Best wishes to all of you who don’t need a Dudley Dooright cuddler.

I understand why one would assume that a male Pro would be safe. However, I'm going to paste in part of my response from this other thread, here, for consideration...

"I would never hire a male Pro on the basis of safety. As we see with female Pro's, a Professional tag on a website that does no vetting and doesn't require any training or credentials does absolutely nothing to "prove" safety, professionalism, or lack of malintent. Any perv could get approved as a Pro. (Hopefully he wouldn't last long, though.)"

Please don't see the Pro tag and assume it means that person is safe. It takes no ID, background check, training, or references to acquire Pro status, here. Stay safe out there. 🤗

  • @SunsetSnuggles at it again eh, always making good points.

  • @SunsetSnuggles You are welcome.

@g_w_t_w Yes, it is a choice.

  • @WriterGF ”Put another way, why not make money doing something you already want to do anyway? For example, I love to write ... I love it more when someone is paying me to do it.”

Yes! I love the way this is explained. 🙌😍

  • So if you're a pro, i assume a new pro, and you reach out to a pro and schedule a cuddle. I'm not sure why you think that there is an exchange of services. I'd really like to understand how you came to that conclusion, what's the process?
