Why should we really want to Cuddle and Embrace!

  • Sometimes it feels good, sometimes it’s stressful to try to make someone else happy. Especially when it’s what some of us have to do all day long, caring for helpless needy people.
I suppose there are a lot of things others “should “ do but that’s not up to me to decide.

    Me after every cuddle session

If you're feeling overwhelmed with caregiver duties, I'm here. As a caregiver for the elderly...I try not to get burned out or feel like I "have to" by focusing on the help the individual needs and how much their families deserve a break. In my down time, lots of hugs n cuddles help too, as well as good self care routine. I avoid the longest and latest shifts and I know my limits. I know it can be exhausting but you're so valuable. 🤗🧸

  • I need a hug that lasts that long!! My gosh it’s difficult to get sometimes. Thanks for the post.

    I appreciate you @Auroradream
You are very kind! Actually, my situation is pretty different as I am often caring and doing quite a lot for a family member. Someone who should be able to take care of herself, but depends on me too much. I do it because she has a child and I wanna make sure that he is OK and safe and healthy.
But It’s overwhelming because I’m getting ready to go on a long trip out of the country for several months. I need a break desperately.
Thank you again for caring, I hope you also get breaks!

This is why I sometimes feel depleted and though I want to be a good cuddler, I just don’t have much left. The last month has been exhausting, Moving everything I own into storage and doing it all by myself, no help, yet people constantly reach out and want me to help them. They never offer anything & they seem selfish and entitled at times. It gets pretty frustrating
OK, that’s why I feel grumpy lately!

And…OK now maybe I will just unload a little bit. I get constant messages from men in my area (when I am in DFW) to cuddle, for free of course because I’m an Enthusiast now.
I tell them I’m moving and I’m doing it by myself and I’m too tired and I don’t have time. And geez look at my age!!!
Not once does anyone offer to help so I feel like - why am I considering helping them when Not one would offer to help me . It feels like so many men are just takers (or just lazy??) and not givers!

Of course I don’t ask, it’s not their responsibility, if anyone ever offered, I would probably turn them down, but it would just be the thought that they cared enough to offer. Maybe that’s what I wish for.. I am very high energy. I do a lot for other people, but there are those who are decades younger than me who just seem to be stuck and lay around and do nothing.. Stop asking things from me if you have nothing to give in return. I get tired of them asking me. I don’t owe anyone anything do I?
And honestly, I don’t want replies. I’m not feeling sorry for myself, I am extremely strong, but I do get discusted with other people’s behavior. Maybe just be more aware of those around you - have a little empathy now and then

  • @Auroradream 😂😂😂 Actually, I am the elderly ha ha

Oh my goodness, if someone local to me were an enthusiast and wanted to cuddle with me and I with them, I would be there with bells on to help them move! 🔔🙂💪

  • I like cuddling because it feel good, I feel happy, I feel at peace, I feel like all my pain, worries, and stress just melt away. If I had the money I'd cuddle every week or multiple times a week :D

    @TeddyCuddle45: 🙂☺️😇

Cuddling makes me very happy too, and thanks to this site I went from feeling touch deprived to cuddling quite a lot, but I'm finding that my cuddle cup is in no way full. 🥤🫶

  • @@HarleyGirlKate I gotta agree with you after 8 years of nothing, I'm never satisfied , I want all the cuddles, but I just don't live in the best area for enthusiasts or have the money for regular sessions, shame insurance don't cover this stuff lol
Imagine cuddling everyday, that would be so awesome

@TeddyCuddle45: Yes, wouldn't it be nice if insurance did cover this under, say, "mental health maintenance." Massage therapy would also be another one that it would be nice if insurance covered it.

In my plan, chiropractic maintenance is covered and that is great and I find it useful, but not as useful as therapeutic massage, which isn't. Still, something like cuddling, which is unlicensed, not regulated, and in a lot of people's minds is mistakenly lumped in as a species of sex work, makes it very unlikely to be covered anytime soon. 🤷‍♀️

Sounds tough living in a cuddle desert, at least if you are looking for enthusiasts. Hope you are eventually able to figure it out and find someone like minded who is local.

  • @lonelytauros Lol! Careful too much "loving and squeezing" can be a bad thing. Just ask George, George knows!😄😄😄

@Katota i like the witch lol
But yeah too much squeezing can be bad for the health lol

I like the witch too; I would definitely cuddle with her. I particularly liked how when she'd zoom off on her broom, she'd leave behind a small cloud of hairpins. Apparently she had an infinite supply for the purpose? 😆

  • @HarleyGirlKate my Insurance covers massage and physio, so that's not too bad, but this should definitely be covered, maybe one day it will you never know, and eh it's not so bad at least one person gets to enjoy my amazing cuddles. Quality over quantity:D

  • To: Auroradream…
It was about an hour or so that I had to—and I mean… absolutely had to find someone to cover for my caregiving duties.

I am a caregiver by choice; not a professional…Widowed Father. Difficult; would be putting it mildly.

Kismet, Serendipity—fate??? I found the post you created above—finally taking refuge in the garage with the door wide open and the rain coming down…I finally feel as though I’m not the only one whose entire being is slowly and continuously being drained. There are times when the physical and more-so-emotional requirements of balancing their life, your life—their health; your health and the ever growing complexities of managing all of this—take its toll.

I sincerely hope you have an opportunity to enjoy this summer and I know….I absolutely know—that you are and kind and honest soul.

    Be Well…

  • @HarleyGirlKate some insurance does cover things like massage therapy and Accupuncture even reiki sessions. Especially if it’s done at a chiropractic office. They already work with insurance companies

  • My insurance covers acupuncture. It also covers massage, but there's only one massage therapist around that works directly with them.

  • @RenaissanceEQ thanks for posting those stats. I try to give many hugs but I’m going to make a conscious effort to make sure they are longer than 20 seconds moving forward.

  • @lonelytauros @HarleyGirlKate
Lol! I forgot about the witch, she did have a lot of hairpins for some reason. 😄😄😄
