Tips

How do you feel about tipping after a cuddle? What's a reasonable amount? Do you feel it's required?

It's not required or expected. They set their own rates of what they want to be paid. It's not like a restaurant setting where the servers get paid sub-minimum wage.

  • And nobody should pay taxes on the tips they earn.

We get to decide on this soon.

Even in the US I don't believe tipping is usual in cuddling.

In other countries, such as here in the UK, it would be a bit weird.

  • The only time it ever occurs to me to tip is if I'm handed a receipt with a separate tip line. That happens in restaurants, and nail salons. Anywhere else, the thought would never cross my mind, and I never carry cash.

That said, I was raised to always tip 20%, unless the service was exceptional or horrific. My boyfriend often tips 50%. 🫨 He's much more generous than me, and can afford to be. πŸ˜† I've never gotten used to it, even six years in...you should see my eyes bug out. πŸ˜‚

  • @Mike403 there is a pro here who flat out requests tips and explains that's how gentlemen show their manners. The site has no issue with that wording. Speaks volumes.

  • @starrynitecuds - She should just raise her fee if she wants to be paid more instead of shaming men for not tipping her.

@Mike403 some people are just greedy. She could be charging $1000 an hour and I bet would still be asking for tips.

  • @Mike403 @lonelytauros
It's not about her, it's about men proving their manners through money to her.

  • @jdlyon75 Gosh. I'm just happy if someone pays my my hourly rate and is kind to me. Personally, I don't care about tips.

  • @lonelytauros Men aren't being forced to see her. There's a lot of guys into financial domination, which is most likely her target audience. Just keep it moving and find someone else.

@Debster thank you for your Madagascar/King Julian advice. I’ll be sure to do just that.

No it doesn't. The terms of service are very clear on this point. Professionals set their own rates, terms and conditions: it's nothing to do with the site.

The site would only become interested if it seemed that a professional was deflating their rate and demanding tips in order to reduce the [very modest] fee due to the site. However, from the description, it sounds like more of a psychological play than a financial one. However, there may be a Reportable concern over the financial domination fetish aspect. Our instructions from the mods are very clear: if in doubt, Report.

The professional is simply wrong, by the way. Tips are very much the exception in the cuddle world, not the rule. Even in the USA. This is because cuddlers are freelancers who set their own rates: the idea of routine tipping is such cirumstances is absurd.

Gee. People can have any kind of fetish these days.

  • Someone who demands tips probably has the wrong attitude about cuddling. It's a service, not courtship, and clients don't need to go above and beyond. Gentlemen here show their manners through good hygiene and respecting boundaries. Tips are never required.

No, REPORT! Pros are not allowed to be advertising as Findom/sugar babies or set off that vibe. Enthusiasts aren't allowed to hint about money, either. REPORT BOTH!

  • @starrynitecuds - You can't prove that just because her rates are high. They could be many reasons.

  • There's a lot of guys into financial domination @Debster

Huh? There must be 1000x more women happy to knock off a few text messages, and cha-ching, without ever seeing the guy, than there are men actively looking for that particular deal.

Findom has no place here. This is a site for fair exchange, not taking advantage of others.

  • @starrynitecuds

    No, REPORT!

    Seconded.

Yes move on. But Report first. Reporting is our main source of protection from those who wish harm to us and our community.

I had no idea what Findim was until I read this thread. I thought it had something to do with a fish or a shark. So I guess instead of loan sharks I guess there’s cuddle sharks out there

  • Required - no.
Reasonable - given that it isn't required, you decide.

  • There may be a place for tips, actually.....for service beyond what was promised. For example, if a cuddle pro stays longer to hear a story, or to comfort someone who became more emotional than what either of them expected, etc. Instead of then computing the extra time, or energy required, the pro was making leaving noises, and the client added to the fee out of pure appreciation.

Sometime they may agree to go for a coffee after, or even a meal, and not overtly suggest an extra fee; but the client was so appreciative, they offered a tip.

Perhaps during a cuddle session, as the client turned to a new position, he mentioned a sore back, or a muscle issue with his neck. She then offered to massage him, as she had massage training.....but usually charges more for a massage session. He may choose to tip her. Or perhaps she was hosting, and invited him for tea after the session, or prepared a light meal.....

There are many circumstances where the pro went above and beyond, and in gratitude without agenda, the client decided to tip.....of course these are all situations where there were no expectations, nor was there pressure.....

  • There may be a place for tips, actually.....for service beyond what was promised.

I do agree that in cuddling there could be a place for this, especially in the US. If service way beyond that which was contemplated is delivered, it's only fair that that payment for that service should at least be contemplated.

Here in the UK tipping is unknown except in specific circumstances, and many professionals who went above and beyond would be genuinely offended if a tip was offered. Not in cuddling, but I have been on both sides of that experience.

  • Don't you still have the VAT, @CuddleDuncan? When I lived there, it was 25%, so tipping seemed extravagant on top of that....

  • Yes we still have VAT, normally 20%. It's effectively a sales tax, like US state sales tax, except it's national and it's included in the sticker price.

Small businesses are not obliged to get mixed up in VAT if they don't want to, and so it's a question that professional cuddlers here can simply ignore.
