One-hour sessions

Lately I’ve been getting a lot of pushback when I request a one hour session. Why even offer the one-hours if you’re either not willing to do them or going to give me attitude about not booking a longer session? I want to get to know someone for an hour before I spend multiple hours with someone I don’t like.

  • Some pros have a minimum hourly booking even though the site will let you request a booking for one hour.

  • If they won’t let you do a one hour session, ask them for a discount on a 2 hour session.

  • I was always fine with 1 hour - as a Pro, Now as an Enthusiast I’m still fine with 1 hour. I prefer it if it’s a new Cuddler first time,
If it’s not a great connection, you might not want it to be longer.
Some Pros make this choice based on what they want to earn for the amount of time/energy they’ve invested & I understand that. They also feel it takes more than an hour to get in the right state of mind.
But I understand that many feel it’s about the $$
Keep in mind not everyone is the same here and if 1 hour session is what you’re looking for then you will find one eventually. Just be sure you’re not sending the wrong message, or hoping for non-platonic!
Newer Pros, might be more likely.to book 1 hour.

  • When I was a pro I allowed a 1-hour session as long as I got paid for at least 2 hours.

  • Some pros have a minimum hourly booking even though the site will let you request a booking for one hour.

The site allows 30 minutes even apparently. Or is that meant to be used for paid M&Gs?

  • I’ve heard pros will book 30 minute sessions but have longer sessions so they only have to pay the fee for 30 minutes but are still able to leave and receive karma.

  • I use the 30 minute marker for virtual sometimes 🤷🏼‍♀️ but never an in person cuddle. If you think an hour goes quick… haha
I still consider myself a new professional (May) and book a lot of 1 hour sessions, there’s always the option to extend your time with me(: however some folks are facing time restraints and penciled me in THEIR schedule so it isn’t feasible.
There seems to be the worry of ‘what if we don’t vibe and I’m stuck for 2+hours’ ; I think it’s worth the risk, my sessions go well and I would expect the same from any other professional - they’re giving you a nice session.

  • Maybe 30 minute cuddles are for the Uber Sharers.

  • There is a huge amount of risk associated with cuddling as a pro. If pros are going to take on all that risk it’s reasonable for it to be for a 1.5 hr session +

  • I don’t have an issue with 2 hour minimums, just make it a decent rate. I’m not gonna pay $200 an hour for 2 hours and be out $400. I can easily afford it but it’s just horrible economics.

I don't mind the 1 hr sessions ☺️ Esp for new clients since they are also risking meeting a stranger online (mostly they risk being scammed or having a cuddler who just sits/lies there). A lot of those new clients will ask to extend after the hour too....and I'm fine with that as long as I don't have other plans or sessions 😉

If I'm traveling a distance, it's better if it's a longer session, tho....and I'll drop my (small) travel fee if they do at least 3 hours. Just since since most farther requests are close to an hr drive for me 🚗🚙

  • One hour is too short for me. I'm very good at determining if my cuddler and I will click, otherwise I won't book her. I've never had a session end early.

    I agree

  • It’s just me but for a pro session, two hours is min for me. Hour is never enough to meet and feel comfortable cuddling

  • Only time I have ever demanded more than an hour for a session is if they’re expecting me to drive 2 hours or more both ways. I’ll only travel that far for a minimum of a 4 hour session. I’ve had people try to schedule a session and want me to drive 3-4 hours each way. That’s not going to happen and when they keep pressing me and not taking a polite no for an answer I suggest they can book 4 hours or more and pay upfront before I leave my house.

  • I don't mind 1 hour sessions unless I am traveling long distances.

With the first meeting in particular, there is a slight mismatch between the needs of the professional and the needs of the client in certain respects. In the respect of having a really succesful first session, yes you can do it in an hour but an hour and a half really does help. With subsequent sessions, an hour is perfectly adequate as a session.

However, at the first session, many clients are concerned about cost and compatability. What happens if you pay for longer, but the two of you just don't match because of an aversion to somebody's natural, normal human scent? It's rare but it can happen. Or you just have a personality clash. So clients don't want to take too much risk by having a long session.

For professionals on the other hand, preparing for a session is much more work than most clients realise. In any job like this, one hour sessions aren't really worth it. Particularly for a first session when you have extra preparation, uncertainty and risk.

However, this difference of perspective does give the thoughtful client a helping hand, because it gives clues as to the overall experience offered by the professional. "Pushback" on a one hour booking is a straight red flag for me, I'd run a mile. However, a kind and thoughtful explanation of why the rate is listed but isn't really real is something I would read carefully and consider.

If the professional posts a one hour rate, but point blank refuses to do a one hour session, then the matter should be Reported. However, posting a one hour rate but explaining in the profile it's only there for comparison purposes and one hour sessions are not actually offered is fair enough in my opinion.

The top professionals are very concerned about the financial burden of cuddling for lower-earning clients, and I have had many conversations with professionals who are reluctant to increase their rates - and sometimes don't - for this reason. Such people don't do "pushback" on anything: if necessary they will firmly but gently outline their boundaries.

  • I think a1 hour is way to short with a good cuddler, but way to long with a bad cuddler.
I have had a bad experience and was thinking of ending it early. The one was when the Pro sit her phone up with the count down timer running and watched it the entire time. And I could tell she was only here for the money.
So after that I like to do 1 hour and if it goes well then I always do at least a 2 hour cuddle on our 2nd cuddle. For me a good cuddle is when I can fell my cuddle partner is also enjoying it.

  • I think the first hour of the first session has a fun ‘getting to you know’ vibe and after that, the deep coregulation, and relaxation happens. I’ve found that I need more time than 1 hour to get to the really therapeutic part of cuddling. 90 minutes works for me! 😊

I can kinda see both sides of it. As a client, I want to make sure I feel it's a good fit before booking for longer than an hour. I myself can't book as often as I'd like to, and want to make sure it's money well spent. Particularly when I'm seeing a new Pro. At the same time, in agreeing with what @CuddleDuncan said, I also respect all that the professional is doing to prepare for that session with me, and understand the need for the session to be a minimum of perhaps 2 hours.

I personally prefer at least 3 hours no matter if it's my first session with a professional, or if I've seen them before. An hour goes by far too fast, and as @TxTom said, I know pretty well if it's going to be a worthwhile session already before I even book with them. Profiles that express care for the client carry a lot of weight with me, and usually the few messages that they and I exchange in route to setting up the session tend to back up what I already felt from reading their profile.

  • I only need three minutes to cuddle

    😁

    @lonelytauros Eh, it's better than being a 1 minute cuddler. Lol!😜😄

  • That’s weird. 1 hour is plenty to feel someone out. Extend if good

    @Katota 😂

  • Just pass, and pay your money to someone that appreciates your business

  • I only need three minutes to cuddle

Hope my joke doesn't hurt anyone, but it's handed on a silver platter:

Can we call it a premature eja-cuddle-ation?

I agree with many on needed preparation for pros and finding if you can click with the other person before booking the session.

For pros: what about offering a 2hrs minimum but with a "leave and be refunded" option (for unused time) if it's the customer's first meeting? I think this could convey the "You'll be fine with me, I'm sure of that" sense. Of course the pro should calculate in advance the minimum time needed to cover CC fees and state it in the profile.

I have often wished that professionals would be more inventive and flexible with their pricing structures, and this is a good example of an excellent idea that might work well for some people.

I agree with the original poster. I would always only want an hour first to be able to see if they were any good. Call it an audition. Then if I’m comfortable with the professional I would book longer sessions. I would broadly block anyone that was trying to aggressively push for longer appointments on the first meeting.

I have never had an issue with one hour sessions but I do feel like it goes by super fast so I always let people know I am free for multiple hours. I usually like longer sessions if we've messaged a a bit already or have met up before, I'm comfortable with people pretty quickly tho so it's really about what they are comfortable with

Eh, idk. I always do 2 hours minimum. It makes it more worthwhile for the time and effort, for the pro I mean.

I do understand it could be annoying, but it's their choice to choose their clients. As far as the 'option' goes, the profile has "1hr-$$$" as a default. The booking system lets you book 0.5hrs. So, it's not them offering it to you specifically.

The site doesn't require clients to provide pictures, but you'd understand that's something a pro could require. Oh and 8/10 times I haven't regretted it, so there's a "benefit of the doubt" or whatever

  • It’s all about the Benjamin$, baby.
