Any lawyers here? Need legal advice for cyber stalking/ harrassment

[Deleted User]Safespace111 (deleted user)

Hi everyone!
Any lawyers here? I posted awhile ago about an ex boyfriend cyber stalking and attempting to sabotage my business and now controlling my personal dating life by getting me banned from 3 different dating apps. I need legal advice because I'm done playing this game.
Please message me directly. Thank you!

For whatever it's worth, I have used JustAnswer.com in the past when I needed legal help. It has worked well for me.

  • That sounds like a matter for the police.

If it was here in the UK, it's unlikely they would do much at this stage. Possibly have a wee chat with him, certainly no more than that. But it means there is a trail, and I have seen them act quickly and effectively when something moved up a level.

  • If you need legal advice, you should really be looking for attorneys in your area. I don’t think the cuddlecomfort forums are the ideal spot to find legal advice.

  • Gosh sorry you are going through this.

In UK, Women or DV services can sometimes help refer you with practical advice regarding getting legal help.

As suggeted, if u haven't already reported it, do, the police, can also sometimes help you better understand what and how to collect evidence that might be needed legally. (Take someone trusted with you that takes this seriously as it can be easy to dismiss your own concerns if others do).

From what I know about stalking, harrassment. It's best not to engage at all with the stalker, they tend to thrive on any interaction good / bad.

    Good luck.

  • I agree with @Morpheus; seek legal advice from a reputable legal source, not people online without credentials.

Likely, even if there were lawyers here, they would not give legal advice in this setting, for liability reasons.

You've gotten some great advice on sources, though...

There is absolutely free legal help out there, lawyers who work Pro Bono, state programs and likely women's shelters who provide or can refer you to the right place.

I've never paid for the ask-a-lawyer type websites, but those are legitimate, credentialed professionals.

Definitely document and report everything to the police.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this.
