Every message board I've been on over the years has shown not just which user posted last, but which user began the thread.
This would solve a lot of those, "Ugh, another thread by YOU! 👺" comments...at least if people could avoid being a moth to a flame.
It's also an easy way to spot newbie threads to jump in and help, or those, "Ooh, another thread by YOU! 🤩" moments.
@TxTom Seconded. Any deletion of any sort, anywhere, should have a confirmation, or at minimum, an Undo pop-up. 🤦🏻♀️

A separate category for people who do massage. It's just me but I'm sort of over cuddling - don't ask me why I come on here when I'm sort of over cuddling, I have no idea, maybe I just have no life. I do often book massages on another site. I noticed some people on here have said on their profile they offer massage, so could be a new subcategory.

It needs to stay more on topic. It's becoming like a secondary facebook of sorts and it's distracting instead of being comforting. Opening the site up to be more "social" invites tension and I'm not here for that! The purpose of this site is supposed to be to get away from stress!
@movieguy54 As an enthusiast, I totally agree. I don't know if people are trying to make cuddling replace their 9-5 job or use it as a side gig or what, but I've seen some outrageous rates (I only looked for curiositys sake). If you're ever in the Kansas City area, feel free to reach out!
@great_pillow08 My experience has been either a) high rates come down when the pro gets no business or b) they only want a few regular clients and the high rate discourages others.
@SunsetSnuggles This does seem to be happening a lot lately. I guess it is faster and easier than going in and editing every abusive post. But it leaves most people with no idea why it's gone and bad actors don't get publicly called out for their behavior.
@SunsetSnuggles idk if it’s more frustration than courage. And @WriterGF … exactly! 👍 and further I think it enables these bad actors to feel free to push it even more. I really don’t agree with this policy/ decision at all
@OhioMike I think I have to agree with you. I have seen threads with valuable conversations in them get wiped because one or more people derail it. Used to be a mod would come in and warn them to knock it off. All wiping the thread does is move whatever feud is going on to another thread.
Yeah @WriterGF I like that mod scenario too. Wish that happened here. (And realizing the mods are unpaid, I’m against that too just for the record)
Anyways it must be a comfortable feeling for those precious few CC members who can post just about anything contentious and realize the only thing to be concerned about is the thread with their comments vanishing. The rest of us schmucks have to be concerned with timeouts / banned / etc 😳
I agree with @OhioMike @SunsetSnuggles @WriterGF Let the posts stay and flag and time out the abusive ones who tag someone repeatedly even when the tagged person asked politely not to tag them. This happened recently in the Sharing Photo thread.
And if I happen to be one of the guilty ones, then flag me and time me out, that’s fine because I must’ve deserved it and I’ll take the punishment. Just no physical pain Because I’m already in pain) OK, thanks!! 😊🙏🏻

Might happen less if people would quit derailing threads to carry on their personal grudge fights.
Regarding comments about forum moderation, I'm listening. I don't pretend that I'm going to get it right every time, but I do expect to grow in skill, and value thoughtful feedback from the community.
I try to recognize the times when a thread should be locked or edited instead of being removed. There have been some recent threads where multiple posts were receiving a lot of flags, and removing it seemed to be the best strategy to avoid what seemed like an impending dumpster fire. I'll continue to consider other strategies.
Everyone is making good points. @WriterGF addresses the fact that forum citizens can make a difference. I've talked with many of you online and in person, and I've come to respect those of you I've gotten to know. For those I haven't gotten to know, I'm not making judgements. Without regard to this, everyone can play a part in a healthy forum experience.
I particularly respect those who have been moderating longer than I have. Although I've been moderating on the site for almost a year, it's only recently that I've dipped my toe into forum moderation. My respect for current and former forum moderators has grown even greater as a result of this.
@OhioMike eluded to a possible disparity in treatment. All I ever ask is that treatment is equitable. I know that being a mod isn’t easy and I appreciate all of your efforts. As far as threads being completely removed, it seems to take the wind out of people’s sails. I’ve seen threads removed and arguments come to a complete hault. If removing a thread is going to contribute to a more peaceful forum experience, I am all for it.
Yeah I don’t see anything wrong with a thread being removed if it’s gonna prevent a total disaster especially with trigger happy flaggers. This would help make the mods lives a little bit easier and I know everyone here is all for the mods with the way they praise them
Removing threads is Orwellian. Tools already exist to stop flame wars: locking threads, timeouts, bans, etc.
I've seen very thoughtful comments lost just because they were made on a thread that was disappeared.
@JoyfulHeart I appreciate you responding You know thinking about what you said about best strategy then maybe delete every and all threads after like say 24 hours. But seriously I think locking them is a much better way then making them vanish. By making them disappear we have eliminated the thought that what we post here is a form of karma, and I know you believe that like I do. Just my thought.
@Morpheus I am not eluding that its possible... its real! Very real. This treatment of vanishing threads for a select few and only a select few is well, not equitable. I'm sure you find this quite equitable because frankly, you're one of the members here who get to take advantage of disappearing threads. Saying you want to post your contentious comments on a thread then having that thread removed to keep a more peaceful forum experience is really some sideways thinking. I'm trying to wrap my brain around that one.
I don't think any member has ever requested that a thread be removed. It's a mod decision. In fairness to the mods, if you are going to claim they are biased and removing threads to benefit certain members, I hope you have some proof. Setting yourself up in adversarial relationship with the mods rarely ends well.

I know that people have possibly requested it, but still up to the Mods to delete it. Are some of you making assumptions ?? lol. Or if a mod can tell me that no one has ever requested a thread to be deleted In the whole history of the site then I will take that as fact.
I have often seen people request a thread be locked or moved, for example, to the pro area. Prior to the last few months, the only threads I had seen removed completely were obvious troll topics started by people who wound up banned.
I wish there wasn't a limit on the amount of profiles I can block. Every now and then I have to unblock some and they think it's a green light to keep messaging. Why is there even a limit?
I'm really happy this site exists. There's not enough appreciation for the people who set this up. Every other site for this (craigslist? I guess?) is sketchy. I'm glad this site is easy to use.
@casualcomfortjo - Tell them not to contact you anymore then don't respond to any more of their messages because even negative attention will keep them going.

@lonelytauros While I think that's true for a lot of people, I do sympathize with women who get deluged with messages.
I think we need an identity verification step, in order to secure interactions.
