Asking photo ID?

Should I be concerned if a professional asked me for my photo ID? I can understand if they want to have a recent picture of me or that they want to have a video call for safety reasons, but when they ask for a photo ID, can't help but wondering if this is a red flag. Am I right to worry about this, or do I have nothing to worry about?

    It is normal for professionals to ask for this.

    One good solution is something like a photo of your driving licence with the number blanked off.

    While I understand it, I personally don't like it......and won't schedule with someone with that requirement. It is highly unlikely they would show you theirs either. For me, it demonstrates an overarching element of deep fear, and if my karma and/or interview isn't enough to assuage the fear, that I'm just not interested.

    @Ravenscar018 _The site offers you no protection with showing your ID. _ This is not a secure site. Proceed accordingly.
    The site doesn't require Pros show their ID to become a Pro. (The owner just said last week that it's not common for the site to requires it from a pro, there's a reason they're flagged.)
