This would be extremely hard to get to, but the Salt Flats in Bolivia would be amazing!
And if you were like "hey, isn't this like that famous Tekken stage?" ... yeah that's the reason I want to go 😅 but it's so beautiful!
I'd like to see many things and places, such as the pyramids of Egypt, the Sphinx, and various antiquities and sites from the Ancient World.

I am thinking about traveling to UK and do some road trips in neighboring Germany and Belgium.
This year I also want to visit Japan and South Korea.
I would love to visit Italy , Greece, maybe Thailand..
Finland, Norway, Italy, Canada for sure.
Also specifically Denmark for Legoland 😅
First - Unalaska (Dutch Harbor) to visit the old battlegrounds where Japan invaded the US in WW2. Have wanted to go for several years, but it is EXPENSIVE to get there.
Second - Iceland. Have traveled to several different countries, but this is the only one that I really want to visit anymore.
Finally, Antarctica, just because it would be cool to go to a part of the world that is uninhabited by people.
@Jubal - Nice list! I did not know about Unalaska but that sounds interesting. I have a friend who flew his bicycle to Iceland and spent a week bike packing a long section of the perimeter of the country. The photos he took were nothing short of mind blowing (staying in a tent at night and riding all day).
I’ve been to 5 continents. My planned trip to Africa to volunteer with an NGO last year fell through at the last minute due to issues on their end but I will probably go over there within the next 1-2 years. Antarctica is my “stretch goal” to have visited all 7 continents.
All the traveling I’ve done since 1963 out of the US has just made me want more. I’ve also traveled to many continents in the world. I started traveling alone, backpacking when very young, throughout Europe, Greece, England, Scotland, etc. early 1970s. I’ve also lived in Paris. Now I’ve just arrived in Seoul 3rd time - for a few months. Going to Japan in Oct. then maybe Singapore in November.Back to England in a year. But I haven’t gone to Scandinavia and I’m 1/2 Swedish. I also want to go to Quebec and Nova Scotia. Traveling and experiencing other cultures broadens your POV, sharpens critical thinking, problem solving, social skills, empathy, creativity & visual awareness. Hope everyone finds the opportunity!

There's already so many places in the U.S I would like to go, but I've been landlocked in Oklahoma for far too long. I'd like to see an ocean view eventually!
@marth the Bolivian salt flats are amazing, and not that hard to get to. There must be loads of tourist trips out of La Paz, and Bolivia offers plenty of other things to see. The Altiplano is very high though, and the thin air does take some getting used to.

@TheNewNovelist I am from the Scottish Highlands and have returned for many holidays. It is very, very worth it. Dublin is a fine city and well worth a visit but, with the greatest respect, not in the same league as Edinburgh which is one of the world's great cities.
@DaveFromSussex Legoland - the original one in Denmark is exactly what you were expecting, and therefore very well worth it.
@Jubal Unalaska, Iceland and Antartica are very much on my list too.
@g_w_t_w there are a number of ways of getting to Antartica as a tourist. It's not difficult, it's just that the logistics mean it isn't cheap. What makes you think it won't happen?
@Kimset the ocean is one of the many things where a photograph or even a video just doesn't cut it. You have to sit on a beach, stare out at the sea, and just feel it. I really hope you get there one day. There is always a way.
Nobody's mentioned India yet. Of all the places I've been, that's the one that feels the most different from the West, especially North India.
My two big target destinations are the Moon (not gonna make it ) and .... well as you might know from the other thread I have bad cancer, so 2027! Actually, Japan. Partly because it's a bit different and partly because my sister lives there. She also has cancer but highly curable. Originally this year I was going to go there in the autumn, then I was diagnosed and she was going to come here, and now nobody is going anywhere till next year.
I have lived a very VERY lucky life and one aspect has been my ability to travel. I have visited every state in the US with the exception of: North & South Dakota and Mississippi.
Europe over 40 times, Most of Asia, the Caribbean, Australia, NZ, etc etc.
However, I have NEVAH EVAH been to Japan: I would love to visit Tokyo and Kyoto. Looks at my calendar!
