Disappearing karma?

If a Karma review was once on my page and it's gone does that mean the cuddler was banned, I was blocked, or something else? It's a little confusing. If somebody deactivates or deletes their account I believe their Karma review stays there...

  • Yes. Banned = bye bye karma.

I wish it wasn't like that.

  • @Auroradream
It either means they manually deleted their Karma, or their account was banned.

The owners have indicated the future intention to give users the option to show Karma from banned members, but as of now, they disappear.

If the user's profile is still visible to you, then they chose to delete the Karma themselves.

If you're not sure which user it was (for instance, you noticed your number went down, but have no clue who's "missing")...I don't know if the OP's have the ability to see who that was. You may want to periodically screenshot your most recent Karma, to keep track.

If it was a banned member, I wouldn't fret...in most cases, one wouldn't want to be associated with them, I'd imagine. (Though I've had a buddy banned for political talk, nothing untoward, so there are always exceptions. 😊)

  • Thanks all! That makes sense to me.

That's what happened to the one karma I had. The pro who left it got banned.

  • Yep, I did a little leg work. It was a ban for one, a changed name plus deleted account on another, so I am guessing they ran into issues...But curiously, I didn't have any problems with either as a cuddle client.
I guess I'll take it as good luck and my guardian angels are with me that I've had plenty of positive exchanges with individuals seeking connection through Platonic cuddling and reciprocate appropriately with my gentle energy.
Scary and upsetting when I am aware that other Providers deal with dangerous or uncomfortable situations.

I’ve lost 3 karmas recently due to pros being banned.

  • I got up to 20 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Then lost one when someone was banned. The 20 mark got hit again and then someone else was gone and I'm back down to 19. I was dang proud of that 20!

I got in trouble for political talk because I made a post expressing concern with what's going on North Korea. I thought "no political talk" just meant controversial stuff that can cause flame wars such as what candidate you support.

speaking of NK, we will go to the DMZ while I’m here. I was told it’s intense depending on how close to the actual border I can get. I will take pics if allowed.
IMO that’s not controversial politics but reality. Why would your comment cause you trouble? (But I didn’t read it)
    (Apology for off-subject)

  • @g_w_t_w - A former mod locked the thread and told me to go read the forum rules. He was nice enough to not give me a timeout though.

  • @Mike403 im still a little surprised. I guess they thought it would anger all the pro NK people here?? lol

And I just saw that I’ve suddenly lost a karma, is there a way to tell which one disappeared for whatever reason?

  • Oh wow, i just noticed i lost a couple. It's surprising because they were active for a few years after we met. The karma just recently disappeared.

  • Just because someone gets banned doesn't mean they are a bad person or non-platonic on cc.

  • I feel you on being frustrated with losing Karma. Mine has also gone up and down, then back up again. If I hadn't lost Karma from banned accounts or two people who chose to delete their Karma for privacy reasons, I'd have over 30 by now. (Thankfully I screenshot all of them, lol.)

  • I was curious about this myself ☺️

  • So apparently the ability to delete a Karma does not have an expiration. just noticed I can still remove a karma I left over a year ago

  • Karma you left can be deleted any time, I assume because you may see that person again and the cuddle isn’t like the initial one. (Sadly some people show their true intentions after multiple cuddles.) Also if someone is banned, their karma is hidden, not deleted. So if the site owners make it so banned member karma can be displayed, I think all that karma would come back. And yes, as it was said, not everyone banned is dangerous. They may have just broken site rules that have nothing to do with being non-platonic, so having their karma remain wouldn’t necessarily be bad.

That idea has been floating around for a while. Any insight on if/when a decision about this might be made?

    I think it's a great idea.

  • @TxTom
I had heard them talking about it fairly recently, but as for if/when it would be implemented, I am not sure.

  • If a member is banned, I don’t think the karma they left you should disappear but if it has to disappear, I think at the very minimum, your number of karmas should not decrease.
