  • Well...it worked :D

Ummmm, seeing these dogs roped and tangled up together like this doesn’t exactly play as an inspiring “make me smile” post. And their body language doesn’t scream I’m happy and free either. It reminds me more of a sad ASPCA commercial asking for donations.

    Are you serious on this?

  • Get them fixed, they’ll live longer

@WestsideMarc they are sun bathing together and I was sitting right there to untangle them. Someone should keep his mouth shut.

@Matt462 dude their both male...what crawled up your ass?

If yall looked at the last picture y'all can clearly see they ain't tangled. Think yall just wanna pitch about something. Didn't yall learn to smjust scroll by if you don't like something. Their not your animals so none of you know shit.

Have a wonderful day...Name-calling redacted. Differences of opinion are allowed here. [JoyfulHeart]

I guess all the Name-calling redacted. [JoyfulHeart] think they live outside lol idk about yall but I don't need dog shit all over my house and it's not a fully fenced in yard so ya they have to be on leads or they will run duh.... buy I guess yall don't know animals 🤷 so keep your mouth shut.

Love the hostility and the grammar. Listen, don’t get me wrong-I’m a huge dog person; I love animals very much! And while it’s nice that you’re enjoying a day with your doggies, there wasn’t any context there so when you put out to the community pix like that, I’m sorry but I think a fairly objective, general and fair answer is: no. I don’t think that to the average viewer those are exactly photos that really make one smile. Perhaps swap ‘em out for something diff? Just a thought… Certainly not worth making a federal case over…

  • @JoyfulHeart if their going to act like Karen's they I should be able to call them that. They was rude on my post which was uncalled for.

  • @WestsideMarc maybe should have asked but no yall wanted to show yalls true colors.

  • @WestsideMarc did like me putting him in his place and blocked me lmao 🤣

  • How's their body language now huh can even see a cat too just chilling together lol

  • I often review forum rules before taking action as a moderator. This is because my personal agreement or disagreement with a post, or my opinion that someone could have said something in a nicer way are not enough to authorize me to take action.

Name-calling is one thing that is expressly forbidden in the rules. I have no part in deciding what the rules of the forum are or what they should be.

  • @Mama_Bre to be honest, I think I blocked you a while back from something else you did on the platform. Anyway, you can have the last word. I am going to unsubscribe from the conversation everybody have a nice day and put away the popcorn.

  • @WestsideMarc should have just kept your mouth shut to begin with but you honestly showed your true color

@JoyfulHeart their adult if they can handle being called Karen's shouldn't act like one. They didn't have to post on MY post. So they started it. They just wanted to be mean because their having a shit day. Maybe you should tell them to MIND THEIR BUSINESS

  • We had a Boxer. I highly recommend them if you have babies/young kids. They're very sweet and forgiving of the things kids sometimes do---pulling ears, leaning on them, touching their face, etc.

Boxers are very sweet, but not very smart.

  • @Mama_Bre nothing crawled up my ass! I was just stating a fact that male dogs will live longer if you get them fixed! They will also be less likely to run away! I’ve had dogs for all 44 years of my life, they are fixed and don’t need to be chained up! I was offering advice, but you are the one showing your true colors!!

  • @TxTom the big white is part boxer and he is the biggest baby I've ever seen. He is my emotional support animal. I got upset because of this post so he came and laid on me lol downside though his white hair especially since I wear a lot of dark colors but I love him. Clearly his hair is turning my floor white too. He is super smart too, he understands full sentences. We have to talk in code sometimes 🤣

@Matt462 my true colors huh I'm not the one who commented on someone's post not know what your talking about. Being fixed or not doesn't have anything to do with them living long it's how you take care of them. So why don't ya see your way off MY post. Peace karen

Maybe just let this thread die before it turns into a Dateline episode.

  • Fixing can make a dog fat and lazy. I've seen it happen so it has nothing to do with health

  • @Mama_Bre - Do you have a source for that claim?

  • Ask your veterinarian.

  • I don't recall the sources, but I've known pets and sadly, humans also who gained weight (fat) when their hormones were taken away, whether they were taken away thru surgery, anti-hormone medication, etc. @Mama_Bre don't you get tickled at all the funny nooks and crannies that cats can relax in? I do.

  • I wanted to be a vet so I've studied a bunch about animals and nowadays it's all about making money and fixing pets costs a lot so they will say anything. I've seen unfixed pets live into their 20s and up lol so yea I know what I'm talking about.

@Achterbahn that cat thinks it's a dog lol he will go on walks with the dogs. It's funny 😁

  • @Mama_Bre It's wonderful you have an emotional support animal, truly.

As regards your comment about people staying off YOUR post, well, it confuses me, to be honest. I have always looked at posts on the Forum as invitations to comment, whether in agreement or not. It allows for a healthy debate. Once the post is live, it becomes OUR post, even though you were the original poster. I loved your title; it got me to open the post and to see what you thought would make us smile. Since you know your animals, it must have made you smile; but for the rest of us, it just didn't necessarily.

I certainly get your perspective: If one doesn't see the point as a reader/forum participant, just move on. It's a legitimate viewpoint, Mama. But so is the one held by a few that wanted to comment that it actually didn't make them smile. I read the comments over again, and I really could not detect any hostility.....that is, until you felt the need to respond and chastise those that disagreed with you.

Yes, true colors are shown in our comments in this forum. One can decide who to schedule with, and who to not, or even block.....based upon the thinking and responses. I am quite appreciative for this tool.

I hope you continue to find joy in your animals :)
