Honest question: instead of public cuddle, can it be public outing?

So, let’s say that someone had an extra ticket to a EDM concert that they were going to attend. As a male, asking a female if they wanted to accompany them, would that be an appropriate request, or could that be misconstrued as a date request? Sure, it’s not a request for a cuddle, but what if it was just for the intention of having a friendly companion? If it’s a pro being asked, of course compensation is included just as it would be if it was a cuddle request.

TLDR: Can two people of the opposite gender on CuddleComfort go out in public as friendly companions, or is that meant for a dating website?

  • Yes this is normal here, although I don't think it's all that common. It's an activity called 'companionship', which is very old and utterly respectable industry. Some cuddle professionals offer this service as a sideline, others do not.

I appreciate the input. I just don’t want to ask and then come off as someone being creepy just trying to get a date.

  • You can still "cuddle" at the concert in the sense that you're touching arms/legs, maybe holding hands, etc. People have public "cuddles" in movie theaters. All you can do is ask. 🤷‍♀️

  • I once had a very lovely, very respectful young man take me to the movies to see 'Barbie'. It was such a fun trip. An EDM festival sounds fun! I've always wanted to go to one. Lol

@PixiePassions Never saw Barbie. I went to see Oppenheimer around the same time. A few friends of mine told me to do the Barbenheimer double-feature, but I didn’t feel like spending 5 hours in the theater lol.

This will be my first EDM show. They had them all the time when I lived in Vegas, but I never saw one. I’m stoked!

  • Perfectly appropriate and a great idea!

I think that's okay.. I would totally go to a concert or go for coffee or a walk or something..

  • Yep! This is perfectly acceptable and probably way more fun to ask someone here who will be perfectly comfy going....and you can still even do some cuddly types of things like @SweetPeaJen mentioned 🤗

An EDM concert would be a blast! I go to concerts with my teenagers all the time and it's great energy. Haven't gone with a client yet, but that's an awesome idea 😎

  • Can two people of the opposite gender on CuddleComfort go out in public as friendly companions

Yep, it can and has happened more then once with myself and a cuddle buddy that I connected with here on CC. 😁

  • @SweetPeaJen thats true. I’ve thought of that too

  • edited August 2024

@RedFox16 thanks for the motivation ;) I’ll have to keep that in mind. I’m still kinda new. I’m just trying to not ruin for myself by suggesting something outside of cuddling and have it put someone off. I don’t want anyone to get the wrong idea about me. But I’ll keep trying!

  • @Katota thats good. I’m glad you’ve had good experiences, and good cuddle buddies

  • @chriscuddles86 Thank you, I have one cuddle buddy that I'll be going to a concert with next month. We'll be going to see Rob Zombie, Filter and Alice Cooper.😁

Lol! Yep, it's gonna be metal/rockin good time with cuddles!🤘😛🫂😁

  • @Katota that sounds awesome! I’d love to hear Rob Zombie’s Dragula live. Alice cooper would be great too!

I’m seeing Tinlicker in Detroit. They are a Dutch House/Trance duo

  • The only thing I’m thinking here is the financial aspect. I mean when you think of it between picking her up, driving there, attending the event, going home, etc. etc. I gotta think that’s a 4 to 6 hour prospect. Plus the ticket. Sounds to me it could get upwards of a $500 or more easily, and to me seems like an awful lot of money to spend on a big group, not much quality connection time, loud music, somewhat impersonal kind of event.

If it’s a standing room, dance floor kind of thing that seems to make it even worse, but if it’s a seated venue where you can be next to each other and maybe hold hands or cuddle a little bit that could be different story.

I’m certainly not throwing shade on it or saying don’t do it; I’m just looking at the economics and the ROI…

  • @chriscuddles86 Ohh, Rob Zombie is awesome. This will be my second time seeing him in concert, I loved hearing and seeing him sing Dragula, Living Dead Girl and Mars Needs Women that day. Lol!😆
It was totes bitchin, man. Loved it!😍

This will be my first time seeing Filter and Alice Cooper live, so I'm really excited about that.😁

    Tinlicker, huh? Gotta Google them.😊

Hope you have a great time!😁

  • Thanks @Katota i hope you have fun too! I don’t know why I didn’t mention Living Dead Girl 🤔 can’t forget that one. Yeah, Tinlicker does a lot of melodic House and Trance. I’ve seen some clips online from their shows at festivals and indoor venues, and the atmosphere just seems like a blast.

  • I second what @WestsideMarc says

I’m just looking at the economics and the ROI

How much is the pro going to charge you for this? How much were tickets, parking etc and like Marc says, add all of this up and depending on her fee, this can end up being quite costly.

I took a pro to see a movie once, this was a pro that I already had a rapport with so I knew we got along well. The movie was three hours long and of course I paid for tickets. I picked her up, drove to the theater, watched previews and the movie, then drove her home. We spent close to four hours together but knowing I was paying for tickets and driving, she only charged me for 2.5 hours. We mutually agreed ahead of time that we wouldn’t eat at the theater so we could focus on cuddling. The economics and ROI completely made sense for me on this.

Now let’s say we spent 4 hours together, she made me pay for 4 hours in addition to buying her ticket and she wanted to eat during the movie which would have impacted our cuddle time. The economics and ROI in that situation do not make sense to me and I wouldn’t have accepted her offer.

  • @chriscuddles86 this is totally a thing! I've also seen lots of cuddlers who are very in to EDM 💗

  • That's an expensive cuddle or companionship or whatever i should call it. I'd like my cuddles EDm free but if you guys like it i love it. I do think that's a lot to pay for but if you got it, why not.

  • One of my cuddle adventures included searching through record stores to fill up a jukebox. That was loads of fun! We needed an ice breaker and he was in a leg cast. I can see how it was an activity that was more fun and in his case, easier with a companion.
My profile has discounts for longer sessions, so if a client chose to spend hours and hours it's an option to do some activities outside the cuddle. Anyone want to go shopping for a new couch?
Hit a Ren Fest weekend! It's actually incredibly pleasant to do social activity with a platonic partner. All the dating tension is eliminated and you can just have a nice time.

  • Yes, you can. It is more a Plus One companionship request. And you are allowed to offer, respectfully to a Pro or enthusiast these types of offers.

Although most likely easier to book an offer to a Pro than an enthusiast for rushed OR easier processing as an enthusiast can discriminate on any notions that do not align with their cuddle forecasts or journeys on here.

“Bear in mind that the quality of a cuddle/companionship endeavor is felt/reviewed differently by each person who experiences it. This is why your expectations/previous cuddle experiences and boundaries are reviewed before our session.” As you can plainly read in this forum post and many others.

List out your expectations for the event.
Date. Time. Transport. Food/water/ locker rental/ clear backpack/ items allowed into event ect.
Link to venue in the initial message.

How the tix is listed since many are wristbands and require the person must use their legal govt name, show 🆔 ect. to enter most music venues at this day and age in the US. Most rfid wristbands can link a digital payment. Online registration or at venue can take more of the concert time. Set list and map 🗺️.

Clothing expectations ESPECIALLY at an EDM concert. That can make many uncomfortable with other concert goers outfit selections.

The fact that smoke, vape, drugs and dust can be in the air during the venue.

I actually offer concert packets of hydration, vitamin C , otc allergy pills, glow markers, sunblock, upf shirt ect. Because most of the outside venues get dusty, full sun, smokey and it wears you down a bit.

Music is soothing and fun. 🤩 preparation & recovery is always key.

It is more of companionship despite/vs cuddling primarliy,so for others responding on actual true experience & some are always just concerned very ruinously ( and post in every thread about the cost of cuddling or companionship) versus actual IRL experience that might not be the best fit FOR THEM, but that is not what you are inquiring about in your thread. To each their own. If you require an EDM plus one and want to enjoy, that’s your choice and I respect it. Hearing true examples is key but also it was another personal experience that was not yours.

Have your financial expectations reviewed for your own offer/s. Because most concerts are going to cost money and are not cheap. To attend an event will be an ROI that you sound excited for and that’s the key factor. Finding another that is expressly excited and review all the details.

Definitely put together a small itinerary offer checklist. And reach out with plenty of time for the Pro/Enthusiast to review and or accept.

I’ve accepted music venue offers and am well aware of the cost, travel, tix, water, food, time, ect. Mostly I am only accepting ticket and transport fully or partially to meet up with my musical plus one client event and might ask a small amount to cover my ability to purchase a 15$ water bottle to refill at the concert.
Or if I can drink in one unsealed water bottle and refill or the water bottle needs no cap.
So many rules upon entry & bringing water bottles, clear specific size backpacks ect.

Most seasoned Pros have been versed on market rates for cuddling and companionship and do not charge for active cuddling as it’s a venue/wedding/concert/ect event and might charge a flat daily custom rate for the entire concert/day/night with flexible pricing. It’s key in how you inquire and line item the I itinerary.

I feel these are private negotiations between you and your selected Pro.

Or private in an offer to an enthusiast.

Best of luck and enjoy the venue!!!! I imagine CC forum goers, we’d all love pictures too in the music thread. 😊🥰 if it is agreed upon.

I think this can be really fun and beneficial! It's not unheard of for pros to offer a discount when they're being treated to something special, especially if it's lengthy or pricey. For example, I list on my profile that if someone would like to treat me to a meal before a cuddle session, I would not charge extra for that time, especially since it's an opportunity to get to know them better if we haven't cuddled before. I might even offer a discount - depending on the activity - if that's all we were doing instead of cuddling. I think many pros would be willing to be flexible to make such activities doable financially.

  • Snoop Dog is touring in Lincoln ThunderValley in December and I bought my tix already.
It’s almost a car payment but is an investment in my future and appreciation for hip hop and a very specific role model that I have met a few times before. He's so inspiring and talented while being a humbly generous family man even with his larger than life persona.
    I. Can’t. Wait.
Maybe 🤔 I will hire a pro to companion with me but it’s tricky due to the date. 📅

  • [Deleted User]Radiant_Becca (deleted user)

I offering companionship since I live in Vegas and there are lots to do. Some people rather not go out to shows alone or dine out alone. They usually cover the cost of the event as well as my hourly rate. I do give discounts for certain events.

  • Going to a concert creepy? But cuddling in a bed not creepy? Cuddling in a bed is not creepy but I would see asking someone to attend a show or grabbing a bite as infinitely more platonic than a cuddle in bed. :-)

  • edited September 2024

Since I’ve become friends with some of my cuddlers when we do things such as grabbing a meal or going to the movies, etc I don’t get charged. I only get charged for the cuddles when we have sessions otherwise it’s free. Of course I pay for movie or show tickets and meals but that’s it :-)
I really appreciate them. Even some trips, I pay for transport and food, and for sessions but nothing else.

  • Going to a concert creepy? But cuddling in a bed not creepy?

@Ironman294 Well this is the CC forums where logic takes a back seat. There is a member here who bashes “boomer men” with venom on more than one occasion yet lost her ever lovin’ mind when I made a joke about Biden relative to his age and accused me of being ageist even though he is a public figure and presidents have always been fodder for jokes. Comes with the territory. I just shake my head at it and move on anymore because I have discovered lunacy on public forums is unfixable and tedious.

  • This sounds absolutely fun. Wish there were others like you here in California 🙂 best of luck to ya!

  • [Deleted User]gem7 (deleted user)

If it weren't for presidents many comedians would have no material to work with.
