On average, do men or women have more self control over primal urges/instincts?

  • Conventional wisdom would say that, on average men have less control over their impulses/instincts than women.

I think in this context the terms “conventional wisdom” and common sense are synonymous.

  • But I would definitely say I would worry more about cuddling a man than a woman. For every woman that lacks control I would venture there are at least 100 men that also lack control.

The last 3 pros I cuddled with were attacked at least once during a session.

  • Some of the most modest / innocent looking woman out there are freaks of nature.

    😆😆😆

  • Well… considering a lot of morgues don’t hire men, I think it’s obvious…

    😊👍

    @Sheena123 You got a point there! 😉

  • @Katota oh I love it when you call me over like that 🤣🤣🤣. 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♂️

  • Pre-transition, I was definitely more aggressive than I am now. And that's not from lack of trying to be less aggressive. Of course, I was also living by and being judged by the wrong rules, and with other stuff, had plenty of reason to be angry.

It's also the case that the first step of impulse control is wanting to control the impulse. I think a lot of men don't, because that's how they're supposed to act.

  • SMH 🤦‍♂️another 1 bites the dust.
    Which song is more demeaning
    Fat bottomed girls by queen
Or baby got back by sir mix a lot
    ?
I have no idea because both make me hit the dancefloor and do the tootsieroll

  • @ScroogeMcducky Who bit the dust? I don't think I'm seeing what you're seeing. But I'd post that question to a new post rather than trying to take over someone else's.

I did. Thanks for asking. @IronLemon
The question was rhetorical to myself.
Something I do when I post and only feel acknowledged by myself.
    Its a coping strategy.
Did not mean to offend or bring about any primal instincts.

  • @Sooson

So where should I set the over / under this time. I nailed it with "Platonic?"

I don’t know the number of pages it will take but I am guessing this thread will get locked shortly after people start arguing about the definition of “women” and “men”.

It's pretty much only transphobes who like to bring stuff like that up, so as long as they can control their base impulse to be demeaning and dismissive of peoples' identities, we'll be fine.

I give this until page 3.
