Had a buddy of mine we was chilling at a bar girl walks up to him says heyyyyy I remember you. My.name was X I saw you at another bar. She said bar X. We didn't remember but she knew the bar we went to and street name. Thing is later on we verified if she worked ther they said they never knew someone by that name yet she remembered my friends hat. Add a layer of weird we saw her at a bar In a different city entirely and she remembered the bar we went to in the other city

In any case she got my friends number they dating now....I told him maybe one her friends Said if your scared to talk to a guy you like go up to a guy and say Heyyyy I remember you and he go along with it. Lol But strange she knew some accurate details

Comments

  • Meeting someone on the highstreet who 2 years previously I had been informed had died, and I'd processed various types of paperwork on that basis.

  • At a science fiction convention, I attended a panel about tea. As a bit of a tea aficionado, I was able to provide a few questions, answers, and other comments. Afterwards, someone approached me and asked, "Do we know each other? Your speech patterns sound familiar." She didn't look even vaguely familiar to me. We talked about a few different possibilities, none of which were the case. Then I looked at her name badge, saw her name, and asked, "Did you volunteer at ops about 5 years ago?" And she had and it was her.

We ended up dating for about a year.

  • My favorite was when I was 21 and working at a gas 25 miles from the town where I grew up. Three guys from the class 2 years ahead of mine came walking in one afternoon and one guy was my sophomore crush. (Why yes, he looked MIGHTY fine still.) His buddies walked around the store, while he came up to pay for his soda and snacks.
"You're very pretty. Can I take you out to dinner sometime?" Very nice smile.
"Hi, Brian. You obviously don't remember me, but I sure remember you! I asked you out when I was a lowly sophomore and you were a hot shot senior. You laughed at me to your friends and told me I was too ugly. Instead, you went out with Lisa (the head cheerleader and homecoming queen.) I never would have ditched you at the Homecoming dance like she did (with the homecoming king LOL). Hi, Tim! Hi, James!" And I waved at the other guys with a big smile.
He just stood there like a deer in the headlights. "I'm... I'm sorry, I was a jerk."
    "Do you remember it now?"
    "No, I really don't."
"Tim, do you remember? Because if you don't, I bet your wife does and we can call her."
Tim recognized me. They quickly left. Brian came back to my work several times the next few weeks and apologized. He finally asked me out again, but I declined. By then I realized holding an intelligent conversation with him about anything other than football was next to impossible. We parted ways with a hug. We saw each other at a championship football game a few years ago and said hi.

At a former work place, we used to hire many freelancers to help meet deadlines. We would hire about 60 freelancers during the winter time. There was a lot of turnover because it was a difficult job. Every year, in the span of two months, I would train more than half of them. I did that job for 6 years.

A couple of years after leaving that job, I was walking around the mall with my daughter. Some guy comes up to me and calls out my name. He looked somewhat familiar. “Hey man, how are you? Thanks for training me at Job X, it’s helped me a lot in my current Job Y.” I replied, “hey no problem, glad to be of help!” We parted ways after a few minutes and my daughter asked me who that guy was. “I have no idea sweetie.”, I replied. 😂

Not sure if this counts, but some years back, I ran into a high school friend online who I had believed to be dead for many years. Our reunion program had listed her as deceased. Turns out she was alive and well in CA - she had come out as gay and her mother was telling everyone she was dead.

  • @WriterGF that's sad reminds me if an Uber passenger she told me she had to fsle.habing a boyfriend to her parents because she was a lesbian and her fake boyfriend who just her guy friend would pick her up under the disguise of a date just so he can take her tk her girlfriends house her parents never found out. Her dad made the guy kiss her and make out with her in front of him every time before they left.....in the dads weird way of testing to see if she wasnt gay

  • I went on a date once with a guy and half way through he’s like you really don’t remember me do you? And I didn’t at all … he started to tell me how we had gone out on one date years before … once he started describing the date I started to remember. And then I started to remember why there wasn’t a second date. And I was surprised he asked me out again cause last time I had spoken to him I was pretty straight fwd about not wanting to see him ever again. I was so embarrassed. But in my defense I was being treating for 2 brain tumors ant the time and my memory and cognitive functioning were not the best.
