Like if someone was able to get a big outdoor space, and invite local, platonic cuddlers- would you go? Why/why not? What would make you decide to go?
I don't live near you, but whenever I get an invite to anything, I first ask myself, "Can I go?"
If the event's not within walking distance (<5 miles), I can't make it. If the event's sunlit, I can't be there. If I'd have to leave my place before sunset in order to make it, I can't make it. If I have work scheduled during the event, I can't come.
Next I ask myself, "Will it be worth it?"
If there's someone there who I think might harm me, I won't go. If there are wind chimes (or bells, or tambourines, or jingling keys) I won't go. If I'd have to rush back in order to make it to a shift scheduled soon after the event, I won't go.
And so on.
For me, it's not so much a question of what would make me go as what could keep me from going—because I want to go! But if I physically can't (or if I can but it would [or might] harm me, or if I can and it wouldn't harm me but it would hurt)... I won't.
Depends on who is going, who the host is, is there a cost. I would feel more comfortable in a private area. It being in public might make me not want to go.
I probably wouldn't go as, although this is all platonic, I'm still pretty firm on my gender and age preferences for cuddle partners. I feel like at such an event, I'd look like a tool for not being as open.
I prefer to relate to people on a one to one basis and give 100% of my attention to the person I'm with. I don't like big groups of strangers, so I wouldn't go.
I'm with @UKGuy . As a pro, I would go in case there are people like us there who really would prefer one on one, but don't know the option exists.
It would depend on how many people were there. If this were a meet and greet for cuddlers, I would expect a more intimate (not sure if that's the right word to use) group. Since cuddling, for me and it seems most people, is a one-on-one type thing I think the preferred group size would be small.
I think I want to rent a campground. Everyone bring sleeping bags and tents. Play board and field games during the day. Talk, roast snacks, sing around the fire, snuggle at night.
And I know a big problem for a lot of people is hosting, so I know couples would show up.
I just want to figure out a better incentive.
I’d be more likely to go if someone I had struck friendly relationship thu the site was going to be there and we could at least check in with each other a couple of times, that would make me mote willing to be there
Long story short @DarrenWalker is not going anywhere ??
Would love to go if there was a similar event organized in my area
@suzyffa [rueful] Yeah... disability's a bugger. I do a lot of staying home.
@DarrenWalker now I understand better why you need to really weight your options in order for you to make it . Just so you know ,if you are ever in my area I will be happy to come to you.((hugs))
Aw, thanks, @suzyffa. That'd be nice. ((hugs))
