@Kris347 Everyone can change their name once per year. Their old profile link with their old username will still redirect to their current profile with their new name.
If anyone wants to change their username, click on your profile circle at the top right of your screen, and click Settings from the dropdown menu. The first line is your username, and if you click the pencil icon to the right of it, you can change your username. (Choose wisely. One change per year!)

@Kris347 -- I can appreciate your question about why someone would be changing their name.
Don't take these responses too seriously as many of us were comedians in a former life or at least trying to be comedians here in this life. The Forums is as good as it gets for us to show our talent.
I carefully considered changing my user name to the Great Cuddler of the Sea- but alas-i did not go through with it.
I am left with only these great people on the forums and the constantly nagging thought of what might have been.
@Kris347 I first changed my name to a phrase I used in the forums and a member dared me to change it so I did, then two trusted members convinced me at a hotel bar after a meet and greet to change it back. So there are so many reasons why people change their screen name. I know of two people in the past that changed their name because they used their last name as a screen name. Don’t ask me why they originally went with a name that announced them to the world, I am merely the messenger.
@Kris347 that was a very wise thing for you to notice and decide if there’s a red flag or not!! I know you don’t post in the forums a lot, but in the forums I have seen quite a few members who felt differently about themselves and their user name no longer reflected WHO they wanted to be anymore.
I feel like we are all here on a journey that helps us confirm things or discover and be in inquiry about ourselves and sometimes it just happens to necessitate a change.
There have also been names that didn’t go over so well with the moderators and users are asked to change/modify for the benefit of the community.
If you have a fear around someone specifically, you can always reach out to admin @gary or the site owner @mark and they can help you find clarity around the site rules.
I for one still align with my original user name because if anyone has EVER met me…. SILLY & SASSY are two of my most apparent traits.
