@Katoka: I had hamsters when I was a child, who did that and I loved watching them. They were so cute with their cheek pouches and could jam grapes, baby carrots, etc. in them.
This is Short Tail, (“Shorty” for short) she was born in a tree in my backyard, I have a thing for misfit animals so I started trying to call to her and tossing her peanuts, after a few weeks of doing that, she started coming to my door looking for more peanuts. She stuck around for a few years, but sadly she didn’t make it through the winter last year. I still feed the squirrels but none have been as trusting as short tail.
