@g_w_t_w truthfully I’ve had this displeasure of the opposite effect: people who want to book minimal time often do so to see if you’ll allow them to push boundaries, they don’t want to commit to a full session because they aren’t interested in cuddle therapy whatsoever. Not to mention the feel good side effects often kick in about 90 minutes in, especially for people who may have a bit of anxiety.
And I have the same time blindness issues as @xandriarain, I prefer to set an alarm and ignore my phone, rather than lose all concept of time and have to rudely check my phone (which is clock watching) periodically.
I had someone say they wanted to spend the night with me. I thought that was odd. I said it's $60 an hour and never received another response.
2hrs is good. If there is a discount maybe more. Overnights are stressful and over 3 hours there has to be something to do besides cuddling, scrabble or cards or a puzzle. For clockwatching timers will be set and goals will be met. I once had a pro fall asleep. Went way over the time but they seemed like they needed the rest. Maybe I should have said something . When the time was up I just watched TV and ate some food until she finally woke up. I learned a lot about people and why they do this type of work just from taking about why she was so tired and dismissing the regret she felt for falling asleep. It happens, im not aware of a persons life or charged with managing it outside our booking times.
Another time I actually filled in for a cuddlers missed cuddle and ate food and went to a show. It was fun and we both felt better we could hang out and make the time fun.
90% is setting appointments and sticking with them. 10% is people making decisions about yhe person, environment and experience and making a decision based on that.
I do a minimum of 1.5 hours because every time someone has booked me for 1 hour, they have tried to extend the session at the end and try to convince me to stay longer.
Doesn't seem beneficial or kind to myself to rearrange my schedule and put in effort to cater to peoples' whims.
It's easier to build clientele when you have lower prices and allow 1-2 hour sessions, then after getting some karma, you can get pickier.
But also, I recommend trying to get a remote job so that when you aren't booked, you're still "grinding".
I would take anything from 30 min to 24 hours. But none available in my area. Neither pro neither free. The closest I can find is over 100 miles.😭
4 hour Cuddles?
WOW
Snacks-Pee Breaks?
It sounds more like a road trip.
The world of cuddling is truly wide open..
I would just discount the rates for the 3rd hour and on. $25 off the third hour. $40 off the fourth hour. Etc. Good luck!
