My cat was very close to being named Bruce Leroy.

Fun fact about Shonuff. They didn't want him for the part because he was too skinny, so he wore football shoulder pads

The fact that this post was created and targeted towards women is sickening. If women want to have pretty or beautiful in their username, there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s simply something that they might identify with, but we shouldn’t be judging a person based on their screen name unless it’s something that is obviously profane.

  • On a different matter…
Sometimes I wonder if some responses to posts lean a certain way just because many OPs have reputations that cause a negative response even though the post might make perfect sense…it still might be judged.
Because people react emotionally not objectively based on the actual content.
There are often threads written by people here who I don’t particularly care for, but their words make perfect sense to me, I then change my opinion a little.

(Sorry if that’s too wordy, I already know I’m bad about that!)

I’m incredibly handsome, very smart—probably the smartest. Everyone says I’m just a tremendous guy, really the best! My hugs are so radiant - I mean you’ll feel them bigly.

I should now edit my profile to include that! 😂 That would help bring some gender balance to the narcissist profiles on this site, since the male narcissists are currently all busy running for office.

  • I dunno however there is one thing I can attest to, and that is that @sillysassy is both silly as well as sassy.

  • @RadiantHugs
    Yes, that Narcissist!

Good point . I know that I certainly can have that effect on some of the folks here lol.

I usually don't read posts if it's subject matter I'm not interested in or I know will likely just irritate me, or if it's from somebody who generally irritates me. And I don't mean irritate as in that I hate the person or wish them harm, or even that I dislike them as a human. Some folks just rub us a certain way and though we respect their humanity we might not want them on our bowling team. There are also a few folks who I genuinely don't care for and are truly slime buckets , but that's not due to any kind of forum posting internet bullshit. It's because of actual tangible things off the forums as well as offsite that they have done. One thing about being here as long as I have and knowing as many people as I do is that you learn things, and some folks who are active on the site should have been banned a long time ago.

  • @g_w_t_w - Great point and I definitely believe the responses to this post are just what you said.

While we all obviously grasp the importance of self confidence and self esteem-people with any self awareness know that calling yourself-Beautiful-Pretty-or any other adjective to describe how attractive you are actually gives off an energy of insecurity and lack of confidence.

    Refer to @JohnR1972's Lion Post {Strong Picture}

This part of @WestsideMarc's post seems to have been completely ignored.

Can you imagine meeting someone in person and they introduce themselves by saying: Hi, my name is Gorgeous Kelly.

All who jumped on this post with the obligatory- "People can put what they want in their profile" -I ask you to answer this question honestly.

What would be your first instinctual response in meeting someone who introduced themselves in this way?

  • My mom tells me I’m handsome. But mom’s have to say that so I won’t be adding that to my profile.

  • @lonelytauros

we shouldn’t be judging a person based on their screen name unless it’s something that is obviously profane.

This is supposed to be a platonic site where looks don't matter.
Judging happens all the time; 69, XXX, sexy, baby, etc. aren't profane, but are inappropriate. They are sending a definite message.
XOXO means "hugs and kisses." Kissing is prohibited here, so... it's not appropriate. Yet it's allowed.
I see that on women's usernames and profiles here all the time. Not men's though. Men would be called creepy and inappropriate, by the same women who have kisses and kissing emojis in their own profiles.
@BrianOcean yes, I just saw one profile where the Pro is repeatedly referring to herself by her profile name, which includes her physical appearance affirmation. LOL

  • I agree with @WestsideMarc its highly annoying and to all you people who tried to put him down, if men on the site did the same thing, you would laugh them out of the building. Imagine the names

    Handsomemark
    Godmark
    Princemark
    Gorgeousmorpheus
    Kingmorpheus
    Morpheusthehandsomeprince

    Get over yourselves

    Smh

  • [Deleted User]MaverickLegend (deleted user)

@starrynitecuds with all due respect, the post wasn’t about looks it was about screen name specifically pretty beautiful or gorgeous. Those are not inappropriate and they’re definitely not narcissistic

  • @CharlieBear is on to something! Because if you tell your kids they are handsome/beautiful, they won't need to seek that validation anywhere else or in this case tell others that they are 'gorgeous.'

Good point. I read it, but didn’t pay attention to it until you called it out.

Why? After thinking about that now, it’s because most of the time I’d probably pass on reaching out to anyone with a profile name like that, as it wouldn’t pass my internal “feel” test. Probably for the same reason I’d totally ignore anyone who will say something like “Hey babe” or “Hi love” in their first message to me. I just feel instinctively that it isn’t going to go well.

  • I chose my 'handle' mostly as a play in "Knightly and Nightly" but tbh I've always tried to follow A Knight's Creed or Oath. There are many traits and valor that a Knight possessed that I admire. I think it would rather awkward and perhaps dangerous to cuddle wearing armor and a dangling sword (pun totally unintentional).

  • I have no problem with someone's choice of username, or even how they introduce themselves in person.

Perhaps it's self-affirmation. Or perhaps it's just sarcasm, or done in jest.

My in-person connection with them really depends on context and the overall vibe of the situation.

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

I think @RadiantHugs kind of nails it. Don't like their screen name? Don't read their profile. Don't engage with them. They're a stranger on the internet and not your problem.

  • Narcissism cannot be diagnosed simply on the basis of what someone chooses as a username on a cuddling site. There are many innocent reasons for making such a choice.

There are username choices that violate CC terms and conditions, but the kinds mentioned here do not. I believe that the owners drew the lines where they wanted them to be.

IMHO the ability to grasp where you are in relationship to your value is a skill that we are all aspiring to be better at.

If we try to cultivate an outer value (beauty) mindset in a public forum, the public eye collective maturity will show us (in one way or another) how unprepared we are for the fallout, and will result in a this team vs. that team mindset, that may or may not successfully move attention away from ourselves.

As the mind matures, this is an awakening gesture that I believe we all have to go through (At some point and time)

Exalt yourself and you WILL be humbled.
Humble yourself and you MAY be exalted.

In order to contain our valued current perceived status, do we point at the offense and deny participation?

  • I think it's quite narcissistic for anyone to believe what they have to say is very important. The nerve of you to think what you think should matter!

  • @lonelytauros posted: "The fact that this post was created and targeted towards women is sickening. If women want to have pretty or beautiful in their username, there’s nothing wrong with that. I respectfully disagree, my friend. When men have usernames like StudInMiami, AthleticCuddles, or Ripped4You, I find it every bit as conceited, shallow, and very likely that they're here for the wrong reasons.

These things don't have to be physical, either...

Women choosing usernames like GoddessVictoria, SpoilMe22, or QueenAmethyst scream sugar baby or Domme.

Men choosing usernames like VegasDaddy, FerrariForYou, or LegendaryCuddles are also major turn-offs to me, as they imply they're here for kink, as a sugar daddy, or are simply full of themselves.

Usernames and photos are the very first impression people give, here. We can't pretend they aren't important or that some people aren't choosing them for very specific reasons.

Any similarity to real usernames is coincidental. 🤣

  • @Morpheus And that's what we call selective outrage. What else is new?
@TxTom Any name, any gender? and no matter how they introduce themselves?
@JoyfulHeart I guess Juicy made the cut

  • @pmvines posted: "some folks who are active on the site should have been banned a long time ago."

    @starrynitecuds
    Spittin' the truth again! 😎

As @JoyfulHeart pointed out, none of the names given as examples (with the exception of 69 and XXX) break rules. But they certainly tell us something about the individual.

Might we misinterpret that meaning? Of course. But people shouldn't be naive about how their choices are likely to come off. Especially on a platonic site that is supposed to be about comfort.

    🎯🎯

On a related topic, I have always thought some titles are aspirational or simply reminders of how people SHOULD behave. I have personally known 4 members of Congress and 6 county judges. Sometimes I had to bite my tongue when I heard them introduced as “the honorable ______”.

  • @Sooson I only cuddle women. Of those, a couple of them were a bit eccentric, but we got along very well. None of my cuddlers, to date, have had any outrageous usernames.

  • @SunsetSnuggles I have reported several users with XXX and 69, who weren't changed.

  • @starrynitecuds They should have been changed or banned. We give accounts like that a warning, and an opportunity to change, then ban if they don't change it. When I'm handling these, I try to wait until the user has logged in again before issuing the ban.

Through this process, some accounts may have fallen through the cracks. I'm willing to look at any accounts that are reported for this reason.

  • @JoyfulHeart I can't re-report, it doesn't allow me. I will DM you one.
