Payments

So I had a person ask if I wanted to do session. Everything was fine until the talk about payment came up. The person said that they only do "free" sessions. Is this okay ? I thought all sessions had to be paid for ??

    I believe one is allowed to do free sessions, in a limited amount so it doesn't seem like one is trying to work around paying the site fees. You would have to charge "0" for the fee and book as normal.

    Really though, if you are running this as a business, perhaps trying to make money at something you enjoy or are called to, I would limit free cuddles to people you really want to cuddle yourself or feel called upon to cuddle with for whatever reason, and don't do too much of this. I did this with a couple of people whom I liked and found recharging.

    By and large, I told most men (for me it was always guys) they needed to find an enthusiast if they want cuddling without having to pay.

  • Your profile states that you charge. And when that person talks with you, it constantly reminds them during the message screen that you are a pro and are agreeing to pay if a session is booked. There are people on the site that don’t charge and there are called enthusiasts. He knows you are not one of them. He can move along. Never do something you don’t want to do.

    If you actually do want to cuddle them and you do not want to charge, you just have to state that in your messages and make sure it’s known that you will not charge.

  • He's just trying it on, to see if he can wriggle out of paying. Typical sleazebucket targetting a new professional. I would Report and Block him.

  • He will have plenty of "Free Time" while he waits for his "Free Sessions"

    👍👍👍

    @Sheena123 Thank you I was going to comment, and what you said it correct. If he wants "free sessions" then reach out to an Enthusiast not a Pro....Duh?! 🙄

    @CuddleDuncan 😁👍

  • @Katota lol yea. I mean, there’s a small possibility that he’s new and doesn’t quite understand the difference but the fact that it’s blatantly obvious when talking to a pro who charges, it’s bizarre to me for those that try to get free time from pros. Especially spending a lot of time getting to know them and figuring out a time and place and what that session will look like. Go put that time and energy into an enthusiast if you don’t want to be charged 🤷🏻‍♀️

    @MCastillo91 Its not OK to reach out to a pro and say " I only cuddle for free"
    It is also not ok to cuddle someone for free only because they only do free cuddles. If thats what you are asking . Don't be too nice or people will abuse it.

    I would just tell him to buzz off.

  • I think the diplomatic way of handling this is to tell him “The session is completely free after you pay in full.”

    I am a massage therapist as well. It is customary and usual to ask for payment after the massage. People always pay, but I think this is because massage is a service that nearly 100% of the population expects to pay for. Now have I had people try and scam a discount? Absolutely! “I didn’t think your pressure was up to par”, “that felt like 59 minutes, not an hour”. Those are the people when they call later, you tell them your sorry, but you’re fully booked.

    Now cuddling on the other hand is a service that if you ask the average person on the street, would be surprised that it is a paid service. The fact that one of the rules is to always collect the money before the cuddle tells me that they have had enough people not pay that they had to be included in the rules.

    So my suggestion is to always collect the money up front, always discus fees in the dialogue beforehand such as “I only except cash”, “I accept cash, Venmo, and PayPal”, or a good way to inject fees into the conversation is to say “My rate is $80 (or whatever it is), will you be needing change?”. A reasonable question. Do I need to go to the bank first to get a twenty before you arrive. And if they say “I thought this was free”, or “I’ve never had to pay other professionals”. They are lying and trying to play you. Don’t say anything and at least stop communicating with them entirely (some people live for the argument); or block them, or block and report.
