Small rant: I’m on page 224 of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil and I don’t know what made me think it was a horror book but it took me 224 pages to realize it’s a true crime book! Ughhhh! I was holding out cause I thought the horror was going to come later on in the book but nope. They’re chilling in the courtroom… One expectation failed but it’s still a great book! I love the drama! The lore! 224 pages in and I love it.

I’m thinking I should just start a horror thread. I made this one book related and although I do love my horror books… there’s more to the genre. Like movies for example… specifically this one. I don’t remember much of this movie cause I was just a wee lassie, maybe 10 years of age. Anyways, that one scene where she went over to the little boys house and asked to be invited in and he didn’t invite her in but still had her enter his house cause he wanted to see what would happen and her face just started pouring out blood until he finally gave her the invitation to enter. I will be searching for this movie to rewatch. Bring some nostalgia to my life.

I finally finished midnight in the garden of good and evil. It was so captivating and I absolutely loved it. I pulled a book from my fishbowl and I pulled out Messenger for my next read! My first Edward Lee book and I’m excited!
After reading the summary I had a huge smile on my face cause how fun I think this read would be! A great concept and I’m very much curious on how, im the reader, how is he going to make me feel like im possessed (if that is his goal)
I’m super excited to read it and can’t wait to see what Edward has up his sleeve
