I agree the profiles/pictures should only be seen by members. Some people are vulnerable and sensitive.

You know...since anyone can make a profile in literally seconds with only an email and no profile or photo requirement, I honestly think that is simply a false sense of security.
@Mark, is it possible to have the site send you a notification when someone leaves you karma? I just noticed today that someone left me a lovely review five days ago. I would have liked to have been notified so I could have written him to thank him right away.
many forums have a tool where you hover the mouse over a thread title and it will show the first few sentences of the thread. it makes it useful when determining whether you want to read about that thread or if the thread title is vague as to its content.
maybe add something like that so one doesn't have to click back and forth a whole bunch of times between threads.
also a "next thread" or "previous thread" that way it automatically jumps there and you don't have to keep going back to the main screen unless the user just wants to.
I am not sure if this is something that is able to be done already and I am just not able to figure it out. If reporting somebody, are you able to click more than one reason? Sometimes there is a myriad of reasons they are being reported but from what I can see it will only allow you to click one reason.

@csw321 - I don't think it's possible or even advisable to force people to respond. Just assume no response means not interested. If they have been on the site after you messaged them, that's an even clearer sign. I've experienced the same - no response from pros or non-pros.
@ukguy Agree to disagree. Maybe I'm not thinking of any, but are there any other industries where it is acceptable for a professional not to respond without it resulting in poor online reviews? Even if it's an automated or robo response, you get a response. Though robo responses are incredibly annoying. Automatic responses letting you know when to expect a response are fine. If I encounter a professional, in any industry, that never responds, I think very poorly of them as a professional.
@Mark I like what you’ve done with photos. But just t be clear, photos, even those held only for contacts or whoever, still must comply with the modesty provisions (no nudes, etc) as public pics. Or no?
I really want to see an indication if I have or have not responded to a message yet. I feel like I lose messages in the inbox and never actually respond to someone and have no idea it happened. Thanks.

@ubergigglefritz on that note something that can be next to the button where we click to medsage someone on their profile to notate if we have previously messaged them or not. As site grows it could be helpful to have that.
@curiousgeorge1 When I go to message someone I always see the last message I sent to them. That helps remind me if I have already messaged them, and also lets me know what I had said so that I don't repeat myself.

@pmvines i was thinking of something that could be used in a search option. Like contacted before or not contacted yet.
Some suggestions. Hopefully they aren't repeats:
-Add age filters for receiving messages. i.e. someone 60yo messaging someone with age filters of 20-40, their message gets filtered to a different folder than inbox
- search results should display amount of karma received to highlight people with more experience on the site
- Allow for reactions to forum posts , like thumbs up, rather than having to create a separate forum post

@pmvines - I think you're right, you're allowed to click one reason only. But you can mention other things in the comments box below.

@pmvines Seeing how any one of the reasons to get reported is likely to get someone banned, I don't think you would need to report on more than one.
