Unfortunately some people do need to “Mind their hygiene”. I used to work in a very high end day spa; and I’d still get the occasional poor follower of good hygiene common sense.

  • I remember I met one female beforehand, here I am smelling like a million bucks, she smelling like she rubbed her pits with an onion, gargled some unholy mixture for mouthwash, not pleasant. Come on ladies, some of yall have this impression you don't stink, but you sure as hell do.

  • I haven’t encountered this issue frequently but it does occasionally come up!

  • I think I have commented on a similar post but yes! Hygiene is so important. I know as the Cuddlee (is that the right name for the person who books a cuddle), I focus on showering, clean clothes, brush teeth, shave, and good smelling breath.

My expectations for the cuddler - is the same. I am uncomfortable when someone has traveled to see me in their car or on transit and want to cuddle in their street clothes like jeans..And with respect,
No smell of smoke or weed - it’s a cuddle killer.

    👍👍👍👍

@Backscratch75 The smell of roadkill skunk on a person, is a cuddle killer for ME as well. Thank you! 😁👍

  • I didn’t go back and read the whole thread, so maybe someone already said this but perfume, cologne, potpourri etc. are not strictly hygiene issues but do not supplement poor hygiene well.

My nose literally burns with too many artificial scents. It’s worse when people think perfume covers odor, because I can smell both. Mixed. Ugh. But even on a clean body many perfumes are a challenge; they just dominate.

I had to leave a relatives house recently because of the combo of potpourri, incense, and perfume. Headache.

In my opinion, and it’s only that, clean is all that is needed, and if you want to supplement, subtle is the name of the game. If you can be smelled coming from several feet away it’s often too much for me.

  • So I just saw on a pro’s page:
“You will be charged extra for bad hygiene”.

That was awesome! I couldn’t resist - I messaged her inquiring what the up charge was! I’ll be back to y’all if and when she responds.

Hmm, would you price bad breath higher or lower than body odor. This opens up a brand new revenue stream. Capitalism at its best.

  • I think the worse smell I ever encountered was I was on a train and a dude sitting in front of me reeked but it was packed so I couldn’t move. The train stopped, and a woman pulled out a salad and man she must have poured half a bottle of vinegar in there so the vinegar neutralized the bo. Then I smelled the Bo, then the vinegar and it was like a wrestling match where it went back and forth and then finally a victor emerged. Never thought BO would overpower and kill vinegar.
In terms of cuddling one time in the summer a cuddler came in sweaty, stinky and had halitosis. No longer on the site. But it wa unfortunate.
