"Nurturing and affectionate, all about the feels!?"
I'm a Cancer and this is so accurate, although I guess I also demonstrate a bit of a fire sign quality when cuddling, "bringing the passion" via intensively form hugs
@IronLemon Just remembered I think we talked about Zodiac signs the other day at the meetup?
@lonelytauros hmm, no commentβ¦. π π€£
@jimmylee i did not see her say that at all.
She said you have people who believe in it and you have people who don't.
There was ZERO judgement in what she said. In fact I thought it was very open-minded in the way she addressed it and I do not believe I'm zodiac signs, but I was at least man enough to accept and allow her own opinion and life-long experiences. That's what decent people do is allow other people to have their own opinions even when they differ from your own.
All she said were there are some people who are conservatives and there are some people who are liberals.
She verrry fairly addressed BOTH sides of the equation.
Your comment to her on a public forum were very damning and I hope as a man you apologize for accusing her of something that she NEVER said.
So if someone said there are herbivores and there are carnivores does that automatically shut you down because I'm so "narrow-minded" that I addressed two sides of a story? π€π€·ββοΈπ€π€·ββοΈπ€
@wanacuddle85 I'm not into zodiac signs, but I see traits in the Aries sign that I have because I'm an Aries.
Is there a particular sign that I would cuddle best with? I would think it would be a Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces...? π€·ββοΈπ€
@PDXCuddleCompan Thank you, but I stand by original assessment. She placed everyone in one of two categories. And I quote, "you have people who believe and understand astrology and others who do not know enough about it." (She has since edited her post for greater clarification, my comments based on the original post). The clear implication in the original post is that if you understand you will believe it; if you don't believe it's simply because you don't understand. Even in her clarification to me it pans out this way. She has made a judgement about the two groups and doesn't really leave room for a third group ... those who have looked into astrology but do not believe it. (At least not in the original post, which is what we are talking about.) She didn't denying saying it, only that I miss understood the intent of what she was trying to say. As I already noted, she has since edited her post for greater clarification, which I applaud.
Like I said, I stand by my original thoughts on the original post. It's basic English and basic critical thinking. Apologetics 101. Words have meaning. I'm just reflecting on the words that were used.
@wannacuddle51 thank you for taking the time to explain your thoughts after I had commented, and editing your post for greater clarification. Appreciated.
@jimmylee You might be getting grumpy over something not worth being grumpy over
@pmvines I considered that, and you may very well be correct. I guess I don't like being called a liar. I should just let it go. Take the high road.
Or better yet, just stay out of the forums, which is likely the path I will take.
Thanks again, my friend, for encouraging me in a better way. I try to keep things civil. I can't say I always hit it out of the park as far as that is concerned.
@jimmylee Yes, words have meaning, but there are factors at play beyond literal meaning of words when we readβcontext, intention and one that I think you looked right past, tone.
The tone of @wanacuddle85 never came across as confrontational or demeaning; if anything it might have been awkwardly worded in the area you were pointing out. Your attack, however, does come across as aggressive and polemical when the subject of this thread and the tone of her post are anything but that. I understand what you were saying but this was not an instance where it rose to the level of a stern lecture which was construed by some as an unwarranted attack. Whether intended or not, this episode was a bad look for you.
I'll be responding in MEMES, pertaining to MYSELF as a Cancerian π¦βππ¦βπ:
Silly little arguments. Silly little tangents .
Lol! π€£ That last one is supposed to be a "Cancer character" reading a book titled "How To UNLOVE Someone"...Which is useful for ME in romantic relationships that comes to end!ππ
No, I don't believe my being a Cancer has anything to do with HOW I cuddle. But it MAY have to do with how I show hospitality (mainly with food and beveragesπ) to visitors and guests though.π
I don't get a lot of either here. Lol
"Cookies, anyone?" ππͺ
@IronLemon Yay, another 'twin' just like me & me (scoffs at those that consider Gemini's to be two faced, fickle, and other unflattering traits)
More meme commenting, AGAIN these are related to MYSELF as a Cancerian ππ¦βπ:
CANCERS HAVE A FEW FRIENDS AND A LOT OF ACQUAINTANCES. THEY DON'T PUT THEIR TRUST IN MANY.
-from random Internet meme ππ
This is very true of myself, as I DO SAY this a lot about myself and other people that I call FRIENDS. ππ«β€οΈ
@Auroradream I think its better to phrase IT with: Gemini's have so many more layers than most
Iβm a Virgo, but itβs not to brag but Iβm the best cuddler all around π
In general I think Cancers have more capacity to care and nurture - in general, not always - because we are naturally ruled by our emotions.
more capacity to care and nurture - in general, not always
π
@Mare_Bear I have heard that a lot, perhaps that's why I make a better mother than a wife.π
Those Cancer memes are spot on, based on a Cancer guy I know.
Those Cancer memes describe me perfectly. Alas, I'm not a Cancer either.
@achetocuddle Lol! Why thank you, I make sure to direct them ALL towards ME as I am well aware that all Cancerians aren't created equal.ππ Depending on the offense, I'm likely to NEVER forgive. Besides, I'm more of a resent and remember Cancerian anyway!π Totally nuts indeed! π€ͺπ
@interalia626 I don't recall an astrology discussion, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen.
@KnightlyCuddles Well, I do have a nice face for people I like and a mean face for people I don't like. Does that count?
How many members of your Sign does it take to change a light bulb?
CANCER: Just one. But it takes a therapist three years to help them through the grieving process.
πππ
@IronLemon It's true! π That's why I always ask (or rather TELLπ) my son to change them, he's a Capricorn βπ...Ya know?ππ
He's a RAM when it comes to lightbulb changing!π
Less emotional work and therapy on my end by just having him change them out.πππ
Love that, by the way! ππ€©
I donβt believe in astrology, however, most of my clientele were born in mid-April and early November. Must mean something π€£
@goodbyehug To me, it means a lot of people really enjoyed Valentine's Day and 4th of July celebrations.
@goodbyehug Not sure I'm correct but guessing most of your clientele that were born in November were the result of their parents enjoying a BIG Valentines evening
I don't think astrology determines who we are.....Buuuuut it's also hard to explain why a lot of people tend to agree their star sign fairly accurately describes them π
Mine is Gemini
@IronLemon Muttering that you beat me by 1 minute on the Valentines comment.
As to the April BDAY mention, that sort of gives new meaning to Fourth of July Bang!
@RedFox16 I'm capable of being straightforward.
The rest seems fairly accurate, though.
