I've only met up with one cuddler in the past and because of my shyness we never actually cuddled we just went for a walk and got to know each other but I'm curious if besides cuddling do some or a lot of people also talk about any of their struggles, open up, etc... or is it strictly cuddling?

  • It depends on the connection but I've had quiet deep conversations with people while cuddling.

I feel that you’re trying to do something about your shyness by posting to the forum, and having a profile photo
There are many here who aren’t as brave as you. I hope you continue to find more confidence, and eventually have a cuddle session. I think you’re off to a great start.
It takes time If we were ever in the same area, I would happily have a cuddle session with you.
Also, conversations and sometimes friendships do happen here, but I think a lot of people come here strictly for cuddling, and aren’t trying to make friendship commitments.

  • @jmbank yes. You will definitely find people to talk to and open up to. As you contribute more in the forums many people will reach out and share and support. You'll learn from perspectives and likely become more outgoing. I know when i first started in the site and forums there was one particular person that offered a very differ perspective and allowed me to ask questions of things i was not familiar with. It ended up helping me become a more enlightened person. Unfortunately they aren't around anymore, for whatever reason, but that person went from shy to very outspoken in the forums. You'll find value here.

Thank you, I have made a lot of progress on my shyness, I'm a lot less shy than I use to be though it depends on the situation, I do a lot better one on one or within a very small group :)

  • @g_w_t_w brings up a good point that I don't think many people necessarily consider here. Sometimes people can become so fixated on cuddling someone that they skip over the rest of what it takes to become comfortable with somebody first. If you are friends or at least friendly with somebody, establish rapport and comfort level and foster at least the foundation for a friendship with somebody then the cuddle stuff will just come naturally and feel organic and easy . I find when people skip this part and jump straight to the trying to get you to cuddle, then they have much less likelihood of success with finding a cuddle pal. Friends are much more likely to cuddle than if you are just random strangers.

  • @jmbank for me, In my case, my initial intention was solely to cuddle, but connections happened and great friendship were created. We have shared deep conversations and feel confortable enough to talk about anything. Personally, I love connecting with people and getting to know them. Love asking questions, but respect what people are willing to share.
Take your time if you need to. Wish you find the right cuddle buddy that matches your interests.

  • 💯 yes to what @g_w_t_w and @pmvines had to say.

  • I find I like to jump right in and cuddle and work backwards getting to know the other person so by the end of the cuddle I really don’t want to cuddle them anymore because now I know them and their flaws leading to disappointment.

    Keeps the oxytocin in check.

  • Ah but the more someone disappoints me the more I want to cuddle with them

  • Love the hat. Im proud of you ...oh nevermind not what I was thinking.

  • Made you look though ...

@jmbank I wish you luck in working through your shyness. Just keep in mind that you are worthy and most likely have a lot to offer. I think you will find that cuddlers on here are very welcoming and open to conversation on a multitude of topics including those pesky troubles we all have.

  • @jmbank I walk a similar road to yours. Nerves are some of the hardest battles to win. Even posting ... I shutter everytime I hit send (or post). In person, my biggest fear is that my shyness will get the better of me.

  • Personally, the last time I truly was shy was 4th grade when we did a class dance and there stood Janice Rickles.....

I am truly not sure what causes self confidence to begin but I do know that at times it becomes a thin line from becoming Boastful or Cocky. Yes, that is much easier to control/fight that what some of you are experiencing with shyness but we all have our own rivers to cross no matter their nature.

  • You’re not the only one :) I’ve encountered plenty of cuddlers who have preferred outings to get to know me before allowing me into their home due to both safety and shyness 💖 I have faith you’ll open up just as they did with more sessions. Best of luck 💖

  • @jmbank Yes, I talk with my cuddle besties all the time! We always end up laughing and reflecting, even with some of the more challenging or sad situations. It’s more than just cuddling it’s about connecting, sharing experiences, and offering support. The conversations are just as comforting as the cuddles themselves, and it helps put things into perspective.
