Approached by a enthusiast/suddenly he's turned Pro?

edited October 2024 in General

This site is weird. I had a guy start a conversation with me a few times for a cuddle. Suddenly today I see review his chat with me hours after I reactivate my account he's a Pro?
I guess that could happen , WTFT (what the French toast)?

  • I noticed many of the new users don’t intend to be enthusiasts so they’re waiting on their pro status to appear. Has happened to me many times

  • That happens. I even had an enthusiast who made plans to cuddle with me on a specific date and then turned pro two days later after we’d confirmed our plans. Suddenly, she wanted to charge! I declined.

  • It happens, who wouldn't take advantage at a few dollars if they could. I mean ladies do it a lot on this site, i think that's the appeal for most folks to even consider looking at this whole thing. Unfortunately the commerce part of it lessens the appeal for some it what we have to deal with. But lucky for you he likely won't stay pro long. I doubt there is going to be enough demand for him to make it work in the long run. While I'm sure there are some men that can make it work it's few and very far between. If he's really in to cuddling he'll convert back to enthusiast.

@SeekerInVA The exact same thing happened to me! My issue with that is just tell me up front your intent is to go pro and charge before we make plans, not after.

Well this individual apparently is not new. According to his profile he's been on several years. He has approached me three to four times before as an enthusiast asking ME to cuddle when am I available? Lol , hell I wasn't interested in cuddling with him just being nice responding to him . He tried to act like he's not cuddled anyone. And I get back on here tonight and BAM he's a Pro now? Shade detector on!

People are allowed to decide whether to be a pro or not at any given time during their membership here , there's no limitations to that . If they have been on here a while and have approached you about cuddling before and are only just now changed to pro status I wouldn't really get too enflamed over it. Sounds like they just decided to give it a crack, maybe curious to see if they go against the grain and actually get some clients as historically men don't really tend to have success as pros. Maybe got some extra bills and trying their luck as a side hustle. Could also be that all along they were thinking about becoming pro and as many men who go pro do, was trying to get some karma built up first so he didn't start off with no karma as a pro. Regardless I can't see anything nefarious or worth being bothered over.

  • @pmvines thanks for mansplaining. My perception and perspective is unchanged. What you see and what I see as two Individuals with their own thoughts/minds I do have freedom to think for myself, do I not? Will not be the same. I do not begrudge anyone out here" securing their bag 💰". Hell I've considered it myself, but my philosophy is "all money ain't good money!" In conclusion I can be bothered if I choose.

If you weren't interested in the first place and was just being nice responding to him, I don't understand the problem.

Yeah, not sure that responding to your post is mansplaining. As a lifelong feminist and proponent for advocacy of equality I find it annoying when that term is over used and misused as a tool to try to shut up a dude from stating an opinion. That doesn't work with me. If you are just wanting to piss and moan about your experience that's your prerogative, but don't post about it on a public forum and then get defensive when people respond to your post . You really don't want to go down that road with me.

  • Failing to communicate your intentions upfront that you intend to charge is an automatic deal-breaker.

  • There's nothing inherently shady about someone going Pro, or changing their username. Anyone is allowed to apply as a Pro, and everyone can change their name once a year, as slightly or drastically as they please.

If your conversation with him resumed, and he tried to imply that because he's a Pro, he's somehow more trustworthy, that would be shady.

If your conversation resumed, and he expected you to pay him, that would be shady and laughable.

I get the feeling that a few sly guys go Pro under the impression they can either come off as auto-green flagged because of it, or to attempt to finagle free cuddles from female Pro's. Neither should ever be the case.

  • @SunsetSnuggles I have spoken to someone who shared that he used to be a Pro a while ago. I got the impression that from his friend list and karma he expected me to get the impression he could be trusted. And likely was the case. I vet people for myself.

  • As a side note, I’ve had MANY correspondences with new female members over time that have absolutely no clue whatsoever on the distinctions between the two buckets of enthusiast and professional.

I’m not taking a position on if the sign-up process creates confusion or ambiguity or maybe it’s new user error because it’s been a long time since I’ve signed up. I’m just simply stating a fact based off experience.

  • Is this another one of those troll threads (that’s poking fun at the guys who complain that women suddenly turn pro), or a genuine inquiry?

If you aren’t trolling, your post implies you are looking for answers and @pmvines response is pretty spot on imo.

I would add that if it’s someone I’ve been talking to for a while, I would confirm with them that if we do cuddle it would be as enthusiasts, and then ask them why they decided to go pro out of curiosity. If they insisted on charging me I would just stop messaging them at that point.

  • Guy going pro, woman going pro, nothing weird, since Pros keep the lights on here.

  • Yeah. I'm failing to understand the issue now. If you received confirmation that he's been a pro before do you still believe he's trying to garner trust? I also think you mentioned you left the site and upon your return he was a pro, is that what surprised you? Obviously not being part of the conversation there very well could be some info I'm missing, but someone going pro wouldn't necessarily make me feel they had ill intentions. I'd ask directly, because going pro after we've discussed things that don't align with being a pro and then all of a sudden going pro would give me pause.

I guess it happens, I f people began reaching out to me and asking to pay me I'd go pro too. But only because it gave some people joy 😉

  • @BashfulLoner you are missing some things and I'm already moved on from this topic. For the record I only left like 3 days ago and I happened to notice that the change occurred after I returned. Lastly I wasn't going to cuddle with him. He was pressing me

    I don’t get why that’s weird

  • @Quiet_Cuddlez you may have moved on, but the post can still be further discussed with or without your input. It may continue on or die off quickly. It may veer off course if @pmvines finds his spellbook and magic wand. Glad you got your answer and enjoy the cuddleverse!

  • @MountainCuddles thank you, that part. I am relieved with him going Pro. I never approached this individual to cuddle. I respond to interested parties as in this case. I often reread my conversations in chat, sometimes you miss something in a thread. I tend to analyze imy interactions. Thanks again for cutting to the chase.

  • I did miss that. So i think you know what you're dealing with in this case. I see why you're concerned and good for being aware.

  • @starrynitecuds I am aware. I just shared my perspective.. Have a good day all. And if you can't have a good day don't you go messing up anyone else's day ya hear? Peace! I'm out!

  • @justwanthugs its definitely shady. Like running down the clock on purpose.
