What do you mean by "slideshow" for your phone? Do you mean one you open manually like a video, or a wallpaper background that cycles?

@SunsetSnuggles i did it two ways:
I made a separate album that had just these photos in them and when I’d go and do my affirmation time, I’d open it and scroll through to and fro as I read them
On the iPhone update, you can have multiple pictures as your lock screen wallpaper and tapping the screen but not unlocking it changed it. So if you had them set to be the same, your Home Screen would be whatever picture it was on when it unlocked.
I hope that made sense. I am very good at using a lot of words to describe things when sometimes an orange is just an orange lol
