How often do your cuddling meet ups turn sexual?
….
She probably just wants some attention. Hoping lots of people check her profile.
@g_w_t_w I have an inkling that you're right
Or maybe she's new and anxious that men will turn things on her?
Am I too naive?
Give her the benefit of the doubt, who wouldn't think thi could turn sexual upon first entry.
They don't. The goal here is to provide a safe and relaxing space for platonic touch, s*x is a totally separate thing.
She's not a pro. Why would she need other people to check out her profile? She could reach out to them.
If the messages you're getting here are full of sexual talk or offers, you need to report the person/people. Go to their profile and click on the box with the 3 dots: ... Then select Report. Then Nonplatonic. Then in messages on site (or something like that.)
I feel if this is a serious question she will respond to some of these posts.
@gem7 - Some people have busy lives and aren't checking their email often to see if somebody responded.
@Mike403 I am sure that is the case. I will check back in a few days. It would be odd to post something like that and not respond unless you are just trolling IMO.
They’re probably not responding because we haven’t given them any red meat to chew on.
@WestsideMarc Let's see if @pmvines can bring a charcuterie board
@GuyverGordon that looks like a turkey leg. Marc said red meat. Go back and find me a medium rare tomahawk steak please.
@g_w_t_w I may be misinterpreting your post, but saying OP just wants attention seems to me to be missing the point. I think she wants an answer so she knows if this is truly a platonic site or a hook-up site. Sadly, it is a perfectly reasonable question.
Apologies to all of the good guys out there who will sputter ‘well I NEVER disrepected any woman on this platform.’ I applaud your excellent characters and I am very grateful, and glad you’re here. BUT the reality is that many, many of the boys and men on CuddleComfort are not like you. And it is those guys who message-blast newbie females and make them wonder what is going on here. I took a look at OP’s profile. She’s a newbie. Like most female newbies, she has probably gotten a tidal wave of messages. And is justifiably concerned. I’ve noticed there’s a big group of new male members who have joined in the past 2 weeks. From the profiles I’ve seen, and some messages I and my friends have received, a lot of those guys (and plently of long-time members, too) either don’t know, or don’t care, that this is not a hook-up site. So OP has my sympathy, and I messaged her to say so, and give what tips I can on navigating through this confusing minefield safely and enjoying the good people who are here and are happy to cuddle platonically. Wish new members had to DocuSign an affidavit that they’ve read, understand, and will abide by the stated Code of Conduct. In an ideal world…….🤗
After having looked at her profile, it seems to me that it is very simple and straightforward. I do not think that she is a troll. I think she is simply a newbie asking an innocuous question from her point of view so I’m going to give her the benefit of the doubt .
I don’t think the account is genuine. There are some troll markers you all cannot see 😵💫
@CharlieBear Darn! Color me naive AGAIN! Guess ‘she’ did not really get that message she quoted from a guy who asked if she wanted ‘a fun cuddle or a platonic cuddle’. This site gets weirder all the time.
@CharlieBear Thank you. @MarigoldBloom I like to give the benefit of the doubt, but there are some things I recognize. I could be wrong. But I’ve seen similar to this too many times. They very often post, very innocently, but are definitely looking for attention. They sometimes will post a topic regarding sex. Call it intuition? But it’s perfectly fine for me to speak from experience just like everyone else. (Right or wrong)
Feels creepy to hear there are hidden troll signs the rest of us can’t see. So a newbie asking a legitimate question about how Cuddle Comfort works is a troublemaker? You are right, I can’t see troll sign. Just a troubling effort to invalidate the question.
By that definition, everyone who asks a question is looking for attention, e.g. responses.
The more you travel, the more you get out and about, the more people you meet, the more you’re out of your comfort zone - the more you will learn about human behavior. I’ve met people who have gotten to my age and haven’t learned a lot about the crazy things that others do.
@MarigoldBloom on this forum, when a brand new member posts a new thread as their first post on the forum, on the day they join, and that question refers to sex even in the most oblique way; it usually (almost always?) turns out that it is not a genuine enquiry. It is intrinsically suspicious behaviour because it's a well-worn path ending with a "banned" sticker.
Of course it is more than possible that this question is completely genuine, and new people in particular should in my view get the benefit of the doubt: we want to be a welcoming forum. Genuine new members tend to return to the thread after a day or two with a sensible reply, and that is what I am hoping for.
Edit:
Feels creepy to hear there are hidden troll signs the rest of us can’t see.
They can been seen by the Moderators, just not by ordinary members. That isn't 'creepy', it's how forums operate.
In this thread, as in most threads, I believe "attention" means enquiries not forum responses.
Exactly @CuddleDuncan I’ve seen it many times here, same pattern and easy to recognize
@Gwynne42 I'll try to do better 😉
@MarigoldBloom some markers can be email address that points to the person being of the opposite sex than the one they state, (User name is Barbara_Gordon, but email is Bruce_Wayne@GothamCity.gov) IP address being in a different location than the one they state, and others. Only mods would have this info (as it should be).
Not saying that these are the markers noted in this particular case, but they can be some of the more obvious ones.
@Mr_Cuddle_Bear Ha you are spot on there in regards to the info provided when signing up. Extremely non platonic.
Makes me immediately think previously-banned member.
@MarigoldBloom Ha yeah sorry, we can’t post their contact info.
I think whatever happens in cuddling stay in cuddling .😘some energy match some don't it's not going happen that quickly.i don't think people are hoe here .some people stay into the rules some don't .long has 2 people are having fun in cuddling that's why matters.🤗
Flagged and reviewed. Leaving intact but no, the site is not to be used for sex. As a pro you will be banned if you book sessions with that as your intention. [CharlieBear]
