Who else reads everyone's profiles all the way through?

Hi there. I love to read the about me section of every profile that I come across, no matter how long it takes. Hearing about People's lives and who they are, it just helps me remember that there are kind people in the world.
Am I the only one who gets annoyed when people don't fill in the self summary thing? It's like, I don't wanna message you if I don't even know who you are. I don't know. I just don't feel comfortable with it?

I try and read them all the way but there are some that I haven't because they read like a novel. Simple is better for me.
The self summary section seems pretty easy to fill out. I don't know whats up with the blank ones.

  • I also enjoy reading most profiles, I usually skip blank profiles.

  • Yeah I skip pass the ones with no info. And everything you said is right. It helps you better understand them and what they have to offer. Some are quite lengthy but it's better to know everything than only bits and pieces lol 🤗

  • Who else reads everyone's profiles all the way through?

    I do! 🙋

  • I actually get offended when it's glaringly obvious that someone hasn't read my profile😂 I wrote it for it to be read so I don't have to answer the same questions 5000 times, but people refuse to read it.

I read every profile from start to finish, sometimes multiple times!

I am still fairly new, but generally don't want to respond to those who have nothing in the summary section. It doesn't take a lot of effort to put something there. If youre not sure what to write, read a few other people's to get the gist of what people are looking for.

I always read all the info provided because, as already pointed out, it helps me better understand the writer and to get a better "feel" for them. When little or no information is given it raises "red flags" in my mind.

  • Yes, I enjoy reading summaries, too.

The sweet spot for me is a profile with three to five paragraphs in the About me section.

I appreciate a personable, well thought out summary.

I usually skip profiles with empty summaries, or rambling/incoherent thoughts,... or those endless "user service agreements"-type summaries (usually Pros) that list numerous "cuddle packages" that read like a Walt Disney World family vacation guide.

I just want to connect with another human.

  • @lonelytauros I'm owed an apology, I just sprayed my phone LOLing! Was not expecting that!

  • @4cuddles what was the picture or whatever? I'm blind, am I missing anything that's actually important?

  • @HealingSystem It’s a lady saying, “ain’t nobody got time for that.” And shaking her head.

And I’m glad your visit that you mentioned in another post went well. :)

  • @CuddleHugs01234 Wait, how do you know? Genuine question. Because there was no sound. So how do you know what the lady was saying? I'm so confused.

  • I do too! lol. I always read through the whole profile. It gives me a sense of who the person is.

    Not me I just...

  • @Sooson you just what? I think you forgot to finish her sentence.

    @HealingSystem oh I added a meme.
Quote from Tony Montana in Scarface "The eyes chico, they never lie"

  • I read them, because it is a good first step to get to know the person. And when it’s filled out, it’s probably something they wanted you to know.

But there are some that I just move on before finishing. Not proud of it. Usually if they’re too long. TL;DR.

Someone I was getting to know just today said she likes the profiles and text chats to be just enough to get a vibe; then the rest is an enjoyable face to face getting to know you discussion. She described my thoughts pretty well.

  • If I am interested in getting to know someone I do unless it's a 14 paragraph essay in which I skim through for the Readers Digest version

Now seriously, profile tells me absolutely nothing .I have no idea who I'm going to meet until we greet each other in person. And this is based on multiple experiances.
Other than vital technical details I realy don't give much importance to it. The pictures tell alot more. I met couple pros that came across as cold and short while communicating, but we're nothing short of amazing in person. 10/10.

  • @Sooson that's interesting to think about.
What do the pictures tell you? That doesn't really make any sense to me, I'm blind, so I don't focus on pictures. The only reason I have a picture on my profile is because people were saying that it was a good idea. And the picture that I chose was just a random picture that I had in my selfie thing, so who knows if it looks good or not. Do I care? Honestly… No. Not really. I don't really understand why society is focused on looks first and not the personalities of people.

  • I do, and most times I will read it more then once. Some are bit long but I will read it

  • @HealingSystem Ok so a detailed answer to your comments/questions will easily derail this thread so I will let others do that if they choose to, but here are some comments in response:
-Focusing on pictures doesn't mean I focus on looks (as in how good looking the person is). There is more in the picture than the looks of the person. and again, the eyes are an open book (in many cases) I can tell if we going to click and I can tell if the person really loves what they do, I can tell if they fake a smile and just here for the money and won't even bother to put on a good act.
of course, nobody gets it right every time and neither did I. I did walk out of a session 10 minutes in (and she ended up with enough money to buy a ticket for a show after the show was over)
And there is more in the picture to see (or not to see) but again, don't want to derail this. some may not apply to you do to your situation, but I will be happy to discuss in person.

-Even in a case where the pictures don't say much, they still say a lot more than the profile since the profile means nothing at all. People assign themselves subjective qualities and you set your expectations bases on what being [fill in the blank] means to you and then you end up disappointed.

Honestly… No. Not really. I don't really understand why society is focused on looks first and not the personalities of people

That subject has been discussed here a billion times.

  • Most of the time , but i have to admit once I've seen what i needed to i stop. So long ones may not get a thorough read until and if i get a response. So some of you who put a lot of detail and thought into several paragraphs , im sorry, but you had me at ...... the end of the first. But i absolutely put the time in if i get a response.

  • Lmfao. I Do. Only because I’m always curious what people are talking about .

I feel like every month mine gets longer lol. It’s mostly to avoid answering the same questions … and or setting the right expectations

  • I like to read through them @HealingSystem. I don't get annoyed if I don't see one, but I will pass by a lot quicker. I can understand why it would annoy you though.

Some are just overly long. I’ve seen some that are literally pages of text. At that point it just looks narcissistic.

  • I'm telling you guys sometimes the profile is just a

  • Like Most reading material-If it interests a person they will probably keep reading.

Less many times says more and too much is usually a bad sign.
