Pending approval

Almost didn't bother writing this since I know the odds of a change to the site are pretty small, but...

What happened to the grey "pending approval as pro" flag? I've run into 3 people now who told me they've submitted an application to be a pro, yet their account didn't have the flag. Are all 3 lying to me? Or is that flag broken?

Comments

  • It still exists . If they tell you they submitted to be a pro and it's not there then they might be trying to be an untagged pro

  • If they intend to charge. whether legitimately applied to be a Pro or not, at least they gave you a warning!

@donhulio Just tell them you are a pending client and you will pay them once you get approved.

  • I saw a pending pro yesterday. Suggest check their pants for inflammation.

    Report them as untagged pros.

I believe all three are lying

Crazy that you'd get 3 like that tho, i see people go pending mid conversation before they seem to get all the questions answered about the site.

@TxTom this is close to your stomping grounds (Dallas area). As I've looked through more non pro profiles in the area I've seen a few more that seem very similar and likely to be the same. Have you noticed a recurring theme here?

    No, but...

my search parameter is fairly limited: only Pros within 80 miles. (This is Texas, after all, not one of those tiny Northeastern Yankee states, so Dallas is not really "close.")

Seriously, though, I don't search for non-Pros (enthusiasts) as I accept the conventional wisdom of the site that establishing a connection with a non-Pro is a significant investment of time. Time I usually don't have.

Not that I wouldn't like to have a local enthusiast cuddle buddy, but I'm not familiar with those profiles.

So, to finally address your question... I don't know.
