@DarlingNikki ~ <<<EXCELLENT ANALOGY!!! I'm "stealing" it!!! As many other posters have stated, there are quite a few fun, unique reasons for clicking on a profile... But I like the idea of "window shopping"----- like I might see something interesting, and take a good, long look at it, but then decide it just may not be "for" me.
What a cool way to view this! And, it's okay to just look without purchasing, right? lolol
I dont think recieving a profile view should necessarily be accompanied by a message. Be glad people are noticing you and desire to learn more by possibly reading what you're putting out. We can't be appealing to everyone. Just rest knowing you've presented yourself in truth and you will eventually attract likeminded.
Once I had a pro tell me not to visit her page unless I was ready to book.
1) I don't know her availability unless I look at her page (she's not based in my area and visits my area frequently)
2) She often changes her main picture, so that always gets my attention.

I'm glad that Platonic Cuddling is gaining traction, becoming a little more main-stream. It's cool that, here, we can interact with people from allll over. It seems, though, that the spread pattern is similar to other trends in that it hit the coasts and large cities first, and is slowly making its way into the interior. I'm glad that it's finally making its way in here!!
Because there have been times when I wanted to message, but stopped myself, it made me wonder about the thoughts of my fellow cuddlers-- what thoughts you all may have had about this...

Hi @GuyverGordon! Frankly, my age.. Sometimes my race.. Sometimes the distance... Sometimes it's because I understand how some folks are freaked out by a cuddler who is already in a loving, monogamous relationship... Sometimes it's because I don't travel for meet ups... Sometimes it's because I'm respecting boundaries the cuddler has made clear on his/her profile... There have been many reasons.. Also, because I come from a time when it was frowned upon for a woman to initiate contact with a man, unless it was for business! Yes, I'm old! lol
When I nosily peeked through my Visitors list, I get the distinct feeling that many who have clicked through are actually respecting my wishes, too! That feels good
What's fun, though? When I DO send a message, I've received responses that were really cool! That's encouraging!
I visit a profile when I see they live in a city near me only to find out they live in a city by the same name in another state.
Often, I visit after I see a comment and I am curious about the commenter. I cannot see the pictures on the side of the comment so I am trying to place the comment in context: is it from a pro? Is it from a male cuddler? Is it from a geezer like me?
The few times I’ve done it was:
A) someone’s profile came across the dashboard from a random place that I used to live and it just brought back memories so I messaged the person stating more or less that, no other intent
B. the person was dressed almost like a literal Viking and I have villages that need raiding
I sometimes just visit a person's profile because they are from someplace I've never heard of, so I click just to see where it is located.

I've done this a few times. Also, I'll often just curiosity browse profiles by way of the forums or the rando feeds on my homepage, and then refrain from messaging unless I really feel like I have something for a conversation opening.
@interalia626 ~ It tickled me when I read what @gem7 wrote! Good point about wanting to feel like you have something for a conversation opener. Curiosity browsing sounds a lot like @DarlingNikki 's concept of "Window Shopping," and I STILL agree that it can be fun...whichever name you use for it!
It's funny... Even though we're all here to (hopefully) make cuddle connections, the conventional social mores still apply. Makes sense, because breaking the conversational ice can be difficult, even through a screen... Guess that's why many of us simply "browse," to borrow your word! lol
@Homesteader nay nay, literal Viking. There is an unincorporated community very close to my farm and I’m of the notion a Viking raid is all I need to “annex” it into the farm. Unfortunately I got no response, so the search continues.
@Homesteader For a lot of us we just simply don’t care to engage or connect with you. It’s not that anyone is afraid to break some “conversational ice”, it’s just that it’s okay to look without connecting.
If you respond to this, it would be great to avoid the unhinged capitalization and font usage - or else I can’t read it.
Really I just go out of curiosity, read their bios and what they have to offer. I love meeting new people.
For me, I find myself venturing onto others profile if someone they’ve rated has visited mine. It gives me a tiny glimpse into their virtual world.

@friendlyj311 ~ I do, too! Meeting new people just charges up my batteries!! In a way, reading the bios of others is a lot like "meeting" them-- good point! And curiosity has led me into some of the BEST experiences of my life, so I don't blame you for clicking to look! lol

Perusing profiles that folks post on a social media platform designed to facilitate connections between people is not creepy.

@TxTom I think it come down to intention. If they guy is checking out the profile simply due to the girls looks, then that come across as creepy. But if he in considering booking an appointment then that's more like the window shopping metaphor

And of course, whenever someone browses a profile, they are asked to check a box that represents the reason for the browsing and is how we would know, right?
@Sooson everyone knows the real reason they are on here. There is no box for the pro to know your intentions, but everyone knows whether they are here for mental health or sexual gratification. Sorry if you are offended by the term creep, it was not my intention.
