  • Makes sense. I’m just glad I don’t need to worry about it!

  • I’m with you. I stopped worrying about these things the closer I got to retirement!

  • Or, given my situation should I just delete my account and not participate?

    That's also an option too, lots a people delete their accounts here. Best of luck!😁

  • One reason some people don’t want to post a photo is because everyone on the forums will recognize them as a previously-banned member.

    @CharlieBear 😁👍

  • News flash OP deleted their account

    I’ll chime in - your other options are to meet in a public place in person. Or do a zoom or Skype check in. Best of luck!

  • I guess he got the feedback he needed to make a decision….👋

  • On my profile pic, I want people to question “is it the goat or the person who is using the site?” Is it a random dude? Is it a literate goat? Is it a team? Who really knows…

  • Well done gang, another one bites the dust.

    @CarrieCo

    What about us?

    The site doesn't require you to meet with anyone. It's not on clients to remember your safety. It's on you.
    **You have a superpower here: **
    This site allows you to set your own boundaries.
    But, YOU need to be strong enough to adhere to your own boundaries from the start.
    You have your requirements for your safety, potential clients have theirs for safety. When they don't mesh (and no site rules have been broken), then you just exit the conversation. The site doesn't force you to continue. Even as a Pro, you have the power to disengage.
    Current US stats are 4 out of 5 SA victims are acquainted with their perp, so identity doesn't seem to be the deterrent that many believe.
    **Our safety starts with sticking to our own boundaries. **

  • @Sweetcudlz Those are definitely possible options, but it's not uncommon for Pros to charge hourly for meeting (which is allowed). As an enthusiast, a public meeting is something I require over a photo (who knows if it's even accurate.)

    @starrynitecuds With no photo, how do you know the person you are meeting with in public is the person you were talking to?

  • @WriterGF the fact is you don't know who you are meeting is who they say, until you do. That's why meeting in public mitigates the risk of bad things. Just like it was mentioned before how do you know the picture you see in a profile is the person they say? You don't. How do you know the Uber driver is the person they say? You don't you just know that there are some safe guards and hope they work. How do you know the person who has your picture isn't going to use it for some weird elaborate plot? You hope because you're on this site there is some safety, but nothing is guaranteed. You do what you can to you level of comfort.

    I read recently that someone was lead to a hotel, through a so called reputable site, for a massage. He arrived and the lady present wasn't the person he expected but according to him he still felt safe enough to enter to get this massage. She wasn't alone and as he went to disrobe the other guy came out of the closet and robbed him. Luckily he wasn't hurt and the people were apprehended. But it happened. I have looked at that site in years passed and know people who have used it, i never did but i would have thought it was just as safe as Cuddlecomfort. This guys said he's used it before and no issue. Now i suspect there may have been underlying things at play but you never know.

    I also shared that last night when i read about the photo search site that was shared that someone i cuddled was absolute who she claimed to be. I had no reason to suspect and nothing untoward had occurred i was just checking the picture site and low and behold i learned something. There are a lot of things that aren't what they seem. You have to be careful. I now question how i feel about sharing a picture.....

    @WriterGF There's extensive conversation, over multiple days/weeks, not "same day." I don't meetup if there's even a yellow flag.
    We share a basic personal description, clothing description and even a vehicle description. I said AND, not OR.
    The meeting is in public. I choose a busy restaurant or park that I know.
    The last cuddler I met with was at a busy park. We walked around the trails chatting for an hour and saw deer and the park rangers. Even talked with some other walkers. This was a meetup, not a cuddle.
    Fun fact: all communication up to our first meeting was kept on site. Phone numbers were exchanged as we said goodbye.

    @ at the end if the day its solely up to the two people meeting.

    If some one is unsure, I would take environmental factors into consideration such as where are we meeting at? What time are we meeting at?

  • Well done gang, another one bites the dust.

  • @tda89 my belly is hurting!! Was LOLing!

    @starrynitecuds navigating and preventing harm isn’t really a superpower, but a trial and error of FAAFO.
    My point was to make others aware on our perspective, I don’t really need any feedback on my lived experiences.

    Just send the pic, no one here knows you.

  • @Katota we do it everytime

  • @Mike403 In all of my experiences, I have never gone to a cuddler's home nor have I hosted. It was always on neutral ground. With that said, I won't even get into the discussion about how many of the pics on profiles are a decade old. A phone call or video chat is always an option for me. How we go about this is an individual decision. What works for you may not work for me. I can live with that.
