I really wish pros would be required to put their actual location on their profile. Many of the pros in the Los Angeles area post their location as Los Angeles but they don’t live in LA. An example is one pro I spoke to recently lists her location as LA but actually lives 30 miles north of Los Angeles which with LA traffic is magnified immensely. 30 miles at the wrong time in LA traffic can mean a two hour drive. I don’t think they are doing this for safety reasons, I think they are doing it because they feel they will get more business if they list a major city rather than the actual city they live in.

    Agree. Seems kind of silly. Only case I think that's ok is if they travel to LA for free for cuddles, so that's where they predominantly cuddle, or have a place to cuddle in LA where they host. If they expect you to come to them, or charge a travel fee to get to the listed location, then their profile should say where they actually are.

    Shouldn’t matter much
    There is a 5 mi search , a 20 mile search ,
    Then the next is 50 miles.
    I think most searches start at 100 miles ?

    What I think would matter the most is full disclosure , of location , and other pertinent details, commencing with the first inquiry.

    Ok I just did a search .... at 5 miles 7 profiles came up
    At 20 miles 29 pros came up including some that last logged in 5 months ago

    LA is a huge city geographically. I can be in Los Angeles in 10 munutes, but it can take me 45+ minutes to get to the other side of LA. The LA metro area is even bigger. With traffic, it can take 2-3 hours to get across town.

    Given the spread, it is very helpful to have precise locations. The system allows you to input by zip code which gives me a pretty good idea about where my potential cuddle partner is located. I am more apt to call a girl 10 miles away than 25. Of course the pros understand this and a few will use a more centrally located zip code to attract a bigger potential customer base.

    Oh we got traffic too . It’s better if you work contractor hours instead of banker hours . Early in , early out . And the hov lanes can be a . Now they just started the 40-50 bucks one way into town on I 66 between the hours of ( I forget )

    And that’s a normal work day .
    Add an event , depending on what it is , add an hour . Fortunately inaugurations is once four years .

    It does matter. If you are 30 miles away, but list your location as being close to me, and I search with the 20 mile radius, you will show up in my results, even though you shouldn't. That is manipulation of the data. Only ok if you are willing to travel to that location for free and don't expect the person to travel to you. If you expect people to travel to you or charge to get to where you are listing, then it is VERY deceptive to list yourself as being in that location.

    I would actually consider doing this if I were outside only one city (as I do travel the first 30 miles for free), but since I am halfway between Richmond and Charlottesville, I want to maximize my likelihood of showing up in results for people searching from either city, so I keep my location as where I am.

    So it's an understandable strategy, but you have to offer something to compensate for the fact that you are basically lying. Free travel, extra hour for free for hotel cuddles in that location (in addition to no travel fee), discounted session price for people willing to travel to you (since you are further than they expected in the search), etc.

    Once presented with an invoice for traveling charges , originating from a location 30 miles away , when the pro displayed a location 5 miles away , yes , that is deception , and , not a valid charge .
    The client does not have to pay . That’s the pros problem .

    A good faith estimate of travel charges should be furnished to the client

    @Morpheus you have a very good point here! I never thought about doing that personally, I see why they would, but there should be a full disclosure about it as suggested by the others in this post.

    When I originally posted this, I wasn’t trying to say that pros are being dishonest in terms of overcharging for travel fees. I just meant that I may be happy and excited at the thought of seeing a certain pro thinking she lives close to me, only to find out that she doesn’t actually live in LA. Now what I thought would have been a 30 minute drive turns into a 2 hour drive now that I know her actual real location.

    I just changed my city from Chelsea, Michigan to Ann Arbor, Michigan. I didn't do it to be deceptive. I only live 15 minutes away from Ann Arbor, I lived there for 12 years and know it like the back of my hand... so I'll charge my driving fee from Ann Arbor from now on (unless Chelsea is actually closer to where they live, then I would use Chelsea).

    However, Chelsea is a really small town (~4000k people including the surrounding townships). Unless you're a native to this area, you will not know where it is.

    Ann Arbor is nationally known. So, I find it's easier to just list Ann Arbor. (Granted, when I start hosting, I will put my actual location as my location. But since I'm actually hoping to rent space to do so... it may very well be in Ann Arbor, anyway! :bleep_bloop: )

    I go back and forth on this because I do feel this in the sense that when I get folks asking me to cuddle at their place and Los Angeles to them is actually Chatsworth or somewhere more NoHo area. Very unexpected and I cannot always travel that far unless I am already closer to the area due to another cuddle. However, I am generally in the LA area or close by in almost any given day and it could be South LA, Torrance, Long Beach and Lynwood.. just some examples. I am open to explore areas of LA i usually don't visit for the purpose of doing outcall around the area but I also have made it a point to mention in my page that my Incall area is Bellflower, where I have the space to do incalls. In a way, I could also advertise Orange County area since I am not far from OC where I do incalls but i think folks already ask if i can do OC county based cities via message and I would let them know. always about communicating!
