I hate it when the Keyboard Commandos or the Pitchfork Posse ride in, start petty, misdirected fights, get their @sses handed to them, and then go flag the post!!! Really? Now YOU'RE the victim???

@Homesteader i don't think you can have your ass handed to you in a discussion. I mean if you're talking about arguments or debates i guess we are reading different things for different reasons. I tend to enjoy discussions, the sharing of ideas and different perspectives personally. Don't get me wrong i enjoy a good fight, i do love to teach lessons but when I'm not involved it ruins a it for me. It doesn't matter if i agree with a particular point or not. I do my best not to get involved with conflict, i have (unsuccessfully) tried to add perspective to calm it down, but that's my intention.
Oh, trust me, it is VERY possible! lol What I meant, however, was that when I got thumped by the Mod Warhammer, I understood the logic behind the decisions! lol But I'm still happy to be here with most of my fur intact!
Having bad things happening to one's account simply because of a lot of flags, even if the flags do not lead to adverse action seems a lot like a Social Credit Score or censorship by group consensus.
I think this would lead to a small group of very active and possibly narrow-minded people turning the forums into an echo chamber for whatever the safe group think ends up being.
I like the current system where flags are reviewed for rule violations by moderators who do their best to be impartial and enforce the stated site rules.
We have quite a few vines today.
Perhaps we need someone with a Green thumb.

Oh ok, well I'm sure i have for at least an unpopular opinion, but i have been involved with a few skirmishes that i regret.
It’s probably just human nature to want to be heard and then not caring too much about the lasting impression that is made. Also maybe not aware of the edit option before posting?
I'm sure I've been flagged plenty. I tend to be bluntly honest with transphobes and misogynists (and homophobes, but I don't think I've seen any obvious ones here). And even sometimes a (non-political) attempt at a joke in a food thread which was (justifiably) not well received.
I also believe I've probably been flagged by people misinterpreting what I've said. I often think it's willful misinterpretations that are taken by preconceived notions people have. It could be poor communication on my part but i don't believe it is. I'll leave room for my error though.
@ReltvlyCanshes You seem to be bothered by this. There are serial flaggers here. their flags say more about them than about you.

@Sooson oh i am not bothered just sharing thoughts. I don't really know that i have been, im just thinking that i may have been, and if i was why i think i would be. Because i do believe that there are serial flaggers, petty flaggers, revenge flaggers and silly flaggers judging by what I've seen in Comments on the subject.

I wish others did not bring in noise that caused it to be locked eventually banished to forum purgatory. Or that MODS would not punish all because of a few bad actors that stir the pot.

I don't think audio is possible at this point ... at least not while seeing it here. This was supposed to have audio (on giphy there definitely is). @ReltvlyCanshes for now we are going to have to just hear the audio in our head.
