One common appeal we see after a ban makes the statement that we aren't doing anything about other accounts that break the rules. These appeals come from accounts who have not reported anyone.
This site has thousands and thousands of accounts, and the moderators can't possibly catch all the rule-breakers.
Someone else's transgression won't get you off the hook. If you draw attention to yourself in the forum while breaking the rule about not having multiple accounts, you will be banned. If you flag comments in a thread then add fuel to the fire later, it diminishes the chance that your flag will be taken seriously.
If you truly care about what this site stands for you will report rule violations you see instead of referring to them in your appeal. Doing so is impressively unimpressive.
