What’s worshipped and praised, yet often a pain,
A true marvel of nature, driving men insane.

  • Its wondrous what a hug can do.
A hug can cheer you when you're blue.
A hug can say "I love you so."
or "Gee, I hate to see you go."

A hug is "Welcome back again!"
and "Great to see you!" or
    "Where've you been?"
A hug can soothe a small child's pain
and bring a rainbow after rain.

The hug! There's just no doubt about it,
we scarcely could survive without it.
A hug delights and warms and charms,
it must be why God gave us arms.

Hugs are great for fathers and mothers,
sweet for sisters, swell for brothers.
And chances are some favorite aunts
love them more than potted plants.

Kittens crave them, puppies love them.
heads of state are not above them.
A hug can break the language barrier
and make the dullest day seem merrier.

No need to fret about the store of 'em,
the more you give, the more
    there are of 'em.

So stretch those arms without delay
and give someone a hug today.

Someone wrote a post last month on how do you feel after a cuddle. I wrote this:

    "I dig, you dig,
    He digs, she digs,
    We all dig."

Not great poetry but it sure is deep. :p

  • In the quiet of the evening glow,
Two hearts connect, no need to show,
Wrapped in warmth, a gentle embrace,
In this space, we find our place.

With laughter shared, and stories told,
In cuddles close, our bond unfolds,
A friendship deep, with comfort found,
In these moments, love knows no bounds.

So let the world fade, just you and me,
In this platonic joy, we’re truly free,
With every hug, our spirits rise,
In cozy cuddles, our hearts harmonize.

idk if it's ok to post that. i haven't really posted my newer writing on it for a while because i need a new program to make that stuff.

  • is it supposed to be poetry about cuddling?
I've been writing since high school, but in 2020 during the pandemic, I was posting on Instagram. I got really enthusiastic about several authors. I went from zero poetry books to like 30. I have lots of Instagram poets as I call them. like Pierre jeanty. his ashes of her love was my first . there's one in there called the smell of disappointment. it was really empowering when I was exiting the end of a relationship.
these days a lot of my writing is probably closer to prose.
I love love Sylvia plath. at times I have felt like she's the only one who gets it. how it is to feel everything so deep.
r.m.drake has had lots of great stuff. I have several of his volumes.
I would publish a few books also if I can ever stop procrastinating and actually finish my manuscript.
