  • Hey @DavidJH 👋. I assumed incorrectly that you were a newer member ( Often this topic originates from newer members ) That’s the reason for visiting your profile.
My response to the question though is what’s the definition of “easy” ? The forums in my opinion , lean towards guys that find it challenging to find women enthusiasts . Nothing wrong of course, it’s just that my experience here on forums is that it’s more of a place to vent about challenges versus that everything is going good and people are meeting people.
So I think the poll results might lean towards guys finding it not easy to meet women enthusiasts/ non -pros .
I’m keeping in mind that the vast % of members don’t even use the forum feature at all . So in my opinion you will probably get results that reflect that no , it is not easy . Congratulations on your 5 years on CC 👍 Awesome to see long time CC members being involved in the community! 😊

  • On CC, no. I haven't tried to find non-Pro/enthusiast woman on CC. I understand from these discussions that one must invest time just getting to know one another first.

Out in real life, yes. Whenever I have that kind of time to devote to developing a relationship, which is rare, I just Jump back into the dating scene.

Hey @OhioMike, technically I'm "not new" but practically I am in fact a newer member as you first suspected from my question. When I first signed up 5 years ago, I think I just kind of checked it out and dropped it soon after.

But I had my first Cuddle Session with a true Profesional from the Snuggle Salon in San Jose about 4 weeks and I was blown away by how amazing Plotonic Cuddling is. I always thought of it as second best, but I seen now that I was So wrong. Now, I'm all in on Platonic Cuddling.

Thanks for your response! Your analysis in regards to who would respond to the poll make a lot of sense.

    Thank you SO much!

  • Hey @TxTom, That's a VERY good point about getting to know people in the forums first. I kind of intuited that, but then dropped the ball :)

    Thanks!

Getting more active on the forums can help find enthusiasts that would like to meet you, though it’s not typically going to be someone local. I have found that attending the meet and greets have helped a lot as well. It feels weird assigning a number to the enthusiasts I have had the honor of cuddling because these are friends and not some statistic to me, so I’ll refrain from doing that, but like I said the forums and in-person events can help find fellow enthusiasts. Reaching out local enthusiasts can be difficult to get a response so try to manage your expectations there.

The word "easy" seems to be the sticking point for me. Yes, I have met and cuddled numerous enthusiasts from CC, and "turned" my share of pros, but I wouldn't say it was easy. It takes effort, time and patience. I don't see it as work or laborious, but a measure of consistent effort.

  • It seems like common courtesy with non pro’s here is non-existent. Most don’t respond at all, and the few that do end up turn out to having their accounts paused or deleted most likely because it’s not a real account or some other reason. Unfortunate.

  • @CuriousGeorge36 nobody is obliged to reply to an unsolicited opening message: this is the internet. In any case most women are overwhelmed with an unmanageable number of messages and replying to them all is impracticable if not impossible. Quite a few leave almost immediately simply because of the sheer volume of messages.

In the case of a physical letter there is a certain low-level obligation to respond because the writer has had to make a physical and financial investment in sending the message. Buying paper, envelope and stamp, and taking the letter to post box. Internet messages are essentially free in terms of time, effort and money and therefore do not carry the same moral weight of expectation.

@jimmylee I agree. I've done these things too, but they not remotely easy. The only time it's remotely easy is when a woman enthusiast contacts me first .... and that only happens because of all the effort and investment I've put into the site and the community.

Building trust and rapport and connections with interwebs strangers is never easy, it takes work. Many people here don't seem willing to do that work because they are looking something easy. Which is a good part of the reasons they have a hard time meeting non pro women. When that happens you can't go blaming the women or the site. It's not easy but you get what you give, and it will be even harder if you don't make an effort.

@CuriousGeorge36 Welcome to the Internet. Cuddle sites, dating sites and job sites are exactly the same - you contact people and never hear back. Anyone who can't deal with being basically ignored is not going to be happy online.

@CuriousGeorge36 sounds like you've had a less than positive experience here on CC. I'm sorry to hear that. To virtually dismiss all non pros as lacking common decency, however, is to paint with a very broad brush. I have met some of the kindest, sweetest, most intelligent women here. Have I come across some rude individuals? Of course (both pros and non pros), but I can find that standing in line at the local Starbucks on any given day.

Thank you ladies, both non pros and pros alike, who take the time to acknowledge a simple "hello." (And let's not turn this into a discussion about replying or not, having full mailboxes, etc ... there are other threads that address this). The vast majority are just like us guys, part of this mass of humanity just trying to get through another day, and maybe even making a warm, human connection along the way.

  • What is frustrating is the non-pros that have provided interest, just as we are about to do this, they want to charge a fee!! WTF?

  • @usaski1
I hope you’re reporting them! That’s completely illegal! They might’ve applied to be a Pro and were not approved but trying to make $$$ here anyway.
If they weren’t approved to be a Pro, there’s possibly a good reason.
    Again, please report!

  • [Deleted User]jimmylee (deleted user)

@usaski1 I've run across those types as well. My experience has been that they (1) don't understand that they have to be approved as a pro to charge for a cuddle, or (2) they are trying to circumvent the system.

You need to put the effort in and be prepared to send lots of messages and only get a few returned. Having a good profile with lots of pictures helps. First impressions count so make your first message interesting. Don't come accross as weird or needy. Ask about them and put your interests forward. Keep it chatty and humorous.

A lot of people here say it's impossible to make a non-pro cuddle friend. It really isn't if you are prepared to put in the effort and come across as interesting. I have two non-pro cuddle friends, one has become a very close friend and I am chatting to a few others who I have yet to meet.

Good luck, be cool and don't give up

  • @jimmylee, yah, maybe the word easy was the wrong choice. I guess I meant exactly what you said... Thanks!

  • Thanks @cuddlyDavid! Very good point about the number of profile pictures. After I sent out about 15 messages with no response I realized that one problem at least may be that I only have one picture. I generally skip womens' profiles if they only have one and so I realized, why wouldn't they skip mine as well

I'll be adding more pictures soon

  • @DavidJH you may find this thread helpful:

  • At this point I'm finding it hard to find people to accept money from me. It's like they don't want $150 / hour to do nothing lol.

  • @MikeSugs i don't know if that came across the way you wanted it to

  • Hey @CharlieBear, what do you mean 'meet and greats'? Do you mean meet-and-greets for CC or maybe cuddling in general?

Yah, in fact, managing my expectations is the exact reason for the question.

    I was wondering:
    * Is it me (i.e. age, picture, bio)?
    * Is Anyone having luck (should I just try something also)?
    * Is it generally just kind of tough and you just have to put in the effort?

  • @MikeSugs if everyone doesn't want to cuddle with you then what is the common denominator? Why do you think even pros are not intrested?

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

@MikeSugs Referring to what pros do as "nothing" is a good way to keep pros away.

  • Women don’t enjoy cuddling with men they don’t know (no matter what they say). It’s all about the money (no matter what they say).

  • edited December 2024

    @LifeIsPointless women enjoy cuddling me.
The answer to your next question is no.

  • edited December 2024

@LifeIsPointless I am very sorry you feel that way. I am sure if you start having a more positive outlook things will change for you. I have two wonderful non-pro cuddlers. Money has never come into it

  • @LifeIsPointless is a troll guys lol. Pretending to be a depressed "nice guy" (from his bio) that really hates women and blames women when they dont like him back. It's too on the nose lol

  • @cuddlyDavid THANK YOU! "Putting in the effort" is crucial! Messages to an enthusiast shouldn't be creepy or weird, reading their profile and respecting the person should be evident. Sending a random "Hiiiii wanna cuddle tonight?" first DM at 10pm on a Saturday to an enthusiast doesn't have platonic vibes. Not. At. All. I know plenty of Pros will happily accept those same messages (and discourage "small talk") to get a client asap. My cuddle buddies here are TRUSTED friends.

@OhioMike I disagree with your assertion that the forums lean towards guys that find it difficult to find a woman enthusiast. Although they certainly can intersect, I think the two are mutually exclusive.

And while I can in no way speak for every guy on this platform, I’ve been around long enough to bet the very high majority of enthusiast men do find it difficult to find an enthusiast woman.
