  • @WestsideMarc I disagree I am afraid old chum. Obviously not all of my messages get a reply. But if I put in the effort I don't have a problem with it at all. Agreed I don't have as many as I would like or in fact as many as I thought I would get but if you have the right patter you will get reults

@starrynitecuds To me that is just common sense but you are so right.

@cuddlyDavid Hey mate that’s great. It looks like you’ve been on the platform for 9 months, but only 2 karma (not that that is necessarily indicative). May I ask how many enthusiast cuddles have you had?

  • edited December 2024

@WestsideMarc I have two ongoing cuddle buddies one doesn't want a Karma exchange as she says she isn't an Amazon product! :) The deleted cuddler was in fact a pro. When I first joined this site I thought I would try a pro out of curiosity. It was lovely but I personally felt that it wasn't worth spending money for a cuddle. (I have been flamed on here for saying this but this is just my personal opinion)

Two may not seem a lot in 9 months but you do have to work at it. One of the cuddlers has become incredibly important to me and me to her. We have had three weekends together and we are planning a trip to Corsica next year.

In my case it is quality over quanitiy but if you want a quick cuddle fix then a pro is the way to go.

  • OK, well then you’ve actually had only one enthusiast cuddle in nine months so I would say that doesn’t really qualify to say that it’s not that difficult.

Again, not trying to make an argument here it’s just that one enthusiast cuddle is not a track record, but I wish you and everyone else luck in finding more enthusiasts!

    :)

@WestsideMarc How did you come to that conclusion? I said I have had two enthusiast cuddlers and one pro. I have no idea why you think I have only had one enthusiast. I am not looking for a one off enthusiast cuddle. I want my enthusiast cuddlers to be friends who I see on a regular basis. I invest a lot of time making these cuddle friends and have many meetings in pubs and cafes before we even talk about cuddling.

I personally think 2 ongoing enthusiasts in 9 months is pretty successful.

BTW I love Santa Monica. There used to be a great Cafe down by the seafront. I made loads of lady friends in that cafe! Well it was 1989 when I was youthful - :)

  • It's almost impossible to find a non pro female cuddler

  • [Deleted User]jimmylee (deleted user)

@cuddlyDavid yes, that is successful. Especially if they are ongoing. I have, and continue to, cuddle with enthusiasts almost exclusively. I have cuddle a few pros, and all but one has been "turned" lol. (That is to say, they welcome a cuddle time with me at no charge). Before it's asked, I don't have much in the way of karma because I specifically ask my cuddle buddies not to put any karma. It's my personal choice.

Keep on keeping in, @cuddlyDavid .

O FIND THAT PROS ABD ENTHUDSIATS ARE ON this site sor different reasons. Non PROS AS AN ALTERNATIVE DATING Site And pross to ,ake a living. None PROS TEND TO BE Choosier in who theyu meet for that reason .

  • @jimmylee Thanks for your kind words. Yes for me it is quality over quanitiy and one in particular has become a great friend. I am glad you are finding fun people to cuddle with too. I understand the Karma thing. As my friend says "We are not Amazon products!"

  • @cuddlyDavid
Meet and greets are events hosted by members of the community to meet one another in person in a public space like a park. They are really fun. Though I don’t know of any that have happened in your area.

@CharlieBear I have heard about these but I haven't heard of any in the London UK area. I will keep an eye out thanks! (Edgware is a suburb of London)

  • yES....... i thimk enthusiasts and pros are jifferent in who they want to cuddle with.

  • Oh, that sounds really nice, thanks @CharlieBear!

Yah, not much this way, but what about in the Sacramento area?

  • [Deleted User]jimmylee (deleted user)

@cuddlyDavid of have heard and read about such meet and greets, too, but have yet to see one in my area (and I live in a fairly populated area.

@cuddlyDavid Having just one enthusiast cuddler you are seeing, even on a semi-regular basis, is totally a success. A lot of people don't feel the need, I am guessing, to have a whole crowd of people they are cuddling if they have found one they really like. It's not a contest to see how many people you can cuddle with or how much karma you can rack up. Hope it continues for you.

Oh oops @cuddlyDavid it was @DavidJH that had asked me about them. And yes I have been to two in Sacramento. One of them was earlier this year.

They are just focused on meeting people, not actually cuddling (though some people do bring blankets to cuddle) and people do cuddle after.

  • Yes @CharlieBear, getting together just to be able to talk to other enthusiest and get to know them sounds really nice. SO much warmer than some pictures and text!

How do you hear about them?

  • [Deleted User]CharlesGrove (deleted user)

According to data from sources as far ranging as Masters and Johnson, dating apps like OkCupid, and social media like Instagram users that identify as female engage with roughly 6% of the male profiles and/or content that they are presented with.

Infamously more than 90% of women rate 85% of men as “below average” or “undesirable”.

So, simply put, about 1 in 20 guys has even the beginnings of a chance to make a good impression.

And, of course, about 85% of men who are given the opportunity are found to be undesirable and get no further.

Being VERY selective in partner choice is a CRITICAL survival instinct. And, marketing strategies to the contrary, that isn’t going to change anytime soon.

  • Dumb question but I'm new. What is the difference between pro and non pro cuddler ? Why would someone want 1 over the other ?

  • I’m not at all surprised at the info above from @CharlesGrove

And it’s certainly unfair that all the good, safe, well-intentioned men here are having a tough time finding cuddlers & are being judged….

Do many women feel that men are mostly motivated by sex?
True or not, I feel this has been the message to us since we were very young - ingrained beliefs based either on real life experiences and/or human cultural behavior in general.
My personal feeling is that every aspect of the internet has intensified and confirmed those beliefs.

@ccsi0409 A professional cuddler charges by the hour for cuddling. A non-pro, or enthusiast, cuddler is free.

  • @LifeIsPointless

Women don’t enjoy cuddling with men they don’t know (no matter what they say).

I don't enjoy cuddling random people I don't know. Safety is key. I know MANY people IRL who I wouldn't ever cuddle. And I don't care about 5 star karma, it's as reliable as a Magic 8 Ball.

It’s all about the money (no matter what they say).

It's a job to Pros and jobs ARE about money. No shame in that! Otherwise, they'd be called enthusiasts. (I don't hear about many people doing their job for free.)
Cuddling isn't a job for me. I'm an enthusiast, not a Pro, so along with NOT charging for cuddling, I also don't charge my cuddle buddies for travel or food or a hotel. I pay my share for movies, dinner and any activities, just like with my friends.

  • Don’t be fooled. Most women on here don’t care and just want to money for some cuddle time. Some care, but very few

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

For all the negativity you see about pros here -- if there was a demand for male pros, how many guys on here do you think would turn pro in a heartbeat?

  • Two things I’ve noticed here in my area, anyway:

    1) Most of the women on this site are pros, or in the process of becoming one.

    2) A great many of the enthusiasts who are women end up getting banned not too long after they show up online. Who knows why, but I can imagine.

These are my subjective observations but seem to be tracking. That doesn’t leave much in terms of available female enthusiasts.

  • Male pros would be pointless since the supply of men willing to do it for free (me included), is basically infinite.

  • [Deleted User]jimmylee (deleted user)

Let's be honest here. The only reason why a pro is a pro here on CC is that she/he has applied to charge to cuddle, and has subsequently been approved. While done pros have various training or certifications, none is required. None. Zero. I've had more than one pro contact me on a regular basis on how to conduct their ... business. I have nothing against those who can make it as a pro. More power to them. But let's not make the designation more than it is.
