Non-local visitors

90% of profiles that visit mine are not local. I don’t offer virtual sessions and I list one location as my home base. What am I doing wrong?

  • It is not that you are doing anything wrong.
Some people travel to different areas. Most of my clients have been travelers
Others search wide open on location and look at every profile regardless of where they are at. Then others see you in the forum and decide to check out your profile. 🤷‍♀️

  • @minkncookies - If you post in the forums, nobody knows where you are without clicking on your profile.

  • The only place to find your location (city AND state) is on your profile. On the searches, you can see city, but many states have the same city names.

Add to that, there is no where that says whether you are open to virtual sessions or not (that i am aware of). The only way someone would know is if you have it stated in your profile ........ which they will have to view your profile to see.

  • 99% of the people who visit my profile are not local. Mind you most of them have come from the forum.

I've visited hundreds upon hundreds of profiles all over the world, for dozens of different reasons. And that's just me.

  • You have to take into account some views as misclicks as well. In the forums, there have been a handful of times that I have clicked on a forum post and the phone decided that I meant to click on the person's name (which takes me to their profile). There have also been times where I had been scrolling through searches and the phone recognizes my drag as a click (which takes me to their profile).

  • @Mike403 This was my very first post in the forums. Thank you for lmk.

  • @LadyVel You’re right. I don’t mess with my filters but that doesn’t mean other people don’t.

  • @GuyverGordon Yeah, having those as a flare on the search results page would be helpful, huh? Also, I absolutely just misclicked onto your profile. 😆 Thanks for sharing.

  • @CuddleDuncan Makes sense! This is my first time posting in the forums. Maybe I should start.

  • 😄 ... I see you @minkncookies ... misclicking is so easy ...

  • Well now that you're posting here I'm pretty sure it's not going to cut back on the amount of people visiting your profile

  • @pmvines Yes, well thanks, I understand that. 😑 I don’t mind the visitors. Was just wanting more local visitors that leads to actual bookings.

  • @minkncookies I often visit profiles of pros in cities I am considering traveling to......and as others have said, I check out the profile of contributors on this forum

  • @beaubliss Good to know. Thank you.
